I actually just got this from an underworld mission last night. It was a regular level 400 metal mission and the first time I've seen that schematic drop since the game went live. I gave it to a friend of mine who was stoked to have it for his republic char.

What you have is more than enough. Like the poster above me said, it's usually how people run the instance that determines if they will make it or not. Having full artifact level gear will not make you win, but it'll make it a bit easier. I went straight from leveling oranges into Columi gear so it's more than doable. If you have a few greens tho I'd go ahead and buy a blue off the GTN before you start running them. Also, you can use orange gear with blue 48-50 type mods for normal Eternity Vault. You might go ahead and get the lvl 51 daily purple armorings/hilts/barrels to swap into your oranges before you run it just to make it a bit easier on yourself.

Right now I believe it's only available for level 50 characters.

Lol geez sorry bro. I was speaking from lvl 50 standpoint. I hadn't really used her at all so when i went to get her affection up i just fed her gifts. Seemed cheap and easy to me. But yeah, if you use her right off the bat then that would probably be better than just stuffing her retarded face with gifts.

I've gotten used to looking for my procs and recognizing them but it would be nice to have them a little bigger perhaps. Maybe I'm just getting old and my eyes suck... But I think BW said they're supposed to be making them more recognizable in 1.2.

I'm not that into Deception (although I've never played that spec) because for me it just seems like being in light armor and always in melee range sounds like a good way to die. And I probably would, a lot. I love my madness because of it's versatility (range/melee) and because it's not a cookie cutter play style (not saying deception is). I like that there is no set rotation that every madness spec sin will follow. That seems boring to me a bit. The fact that it's completely based on the situation makes it a more fun style for me to play both in pve and pvp. Slightly off topic, I see lots of Deception pvp videos but I haven't seen any Madness pvp videos. Anybody know of any that they could share the link to?

Just feed her blue/purple rank 5 Republic Memorabilia until around 1800 or so affection. I only got +60 per gift, which sucked. But once I got her to that point she started gaining affection rapidly. Check out Torhead for the conversation responses so you don't get screwed out of those points and just keep giving her those gifts. She'll be maxed in no time.

Frankly, i'd rather not have a sorc companion. When i use Revel or Talos or Ashara, it means their gear is theirs and i don't have to split WP gear with them. Of course, after you're 50 that doesn't really matter. I mainly only use my healer for daily's anyway. Most everything else is done with my guild.

Are steelseries keyboards at best buy? Ill have to head out that way and test some of them out. I want something quiet so it doesn't feel like im using a typewriter but it looks like I have some research to do. Thanks again!

Right now I have a cheap Microsoft keyboard that has no lights (can't tell is caps/scroll lock is on...) and just a general lack of features so im looking for a decent upgrade. I don't need anything crazy but I want a good product for my money. I'd like to stay under $100 if possible. I've been looking at the Razer Lycosa since it seems to have what I want plus a few extras and still be affordable. Does anyone have any experience with this keyboard or can you recommend another similar one? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Obviously you'll get varying numbers in pvp because of gear differences but in full columi with relic I'm hitting mobs in ops and HM FP's for about 3300 with Death Field. So 3300 dmg on 3 targets is pretty nice. I can't wait to see what it's like once i swap out some mobs or get more rakata pieces.

Yes, it happens quite a bit. Sometimes it helps if you all exit the instance and the leader resets the instance. No mobs will be there since you've already cleared to SOA but hopefully he'll be less glitchy. Same thing happened to my group tonight. Bioware said they're fixing SOA in 1.2. It's kind of an involved fight since there's a lot of moving parts so it probably take them a while to go through all the code and test it.

According to Georg Z, they are considering allowing crafters (likely the ones that can make the armor) to be able to create augment slots on existing gear so hopefully this won't be an issue if you already have a modded set that you like. After all, it does get pretty expensive pulling out mods... Also, as far as pants go, I think the black pilot pants available from the fleet commendations vendor look better with the robe than the grey supreme inquisitor pants, imo. You can get the pilot pants for just over 200 fleet commendations. Also, I found both the robe and boots on the GTN for 10k each.

In 1.2 you'll be able to take the barrels and hilts out of the weapons as well. That is the reason why the crit crafted sabers/guns will be so valuable. I'll have to look to see where it said that but otherwise, crit crafted weapons would only be a minor upgrade.

My guild mates and I started doing HM flashpoints with oranges modded with the daily mods. Once we knew the fights, it was no problem. You can get a lot of the columi gear just from doing the HM FP's if you want but it is, imo, more fun to get them in a normal operation such as EV and Karagga's Palace (plus, you can get several items per run). Once you know the fights (youtube is great here), you'll have no problem running any of them in daily modded orange gear.

Definitely doable. You'll have to play more than 10 warzones a day tho. It won't be possible otherwise I don't think. Several of my guild members went from 50-60 in about a week to a week and a half. It all depends on how much you play and what you do while you're playing to be honest.

I wish that pic showed what it looked like on a male toon... Also, I actually like the new PVE gear and the PVP gear isn't bad except for that horrible helm...not really a big upgrade from the bullhorns I wear for pve now. The current pvp gear I don't mind except my *** looks huge in that skirt thing...lol

Absolutely. I'm madness and as long as you keep his gear up to date (doesn't have to be amazing, just on par) and he'll heal you just fine. I do all my Illum/Belsavis daily quests with Talos and it's a breeze. I 'solo' several elites and champions with him healing. He's a fantastic healer.

Sorry if something like this has already been posted but I'm on my way out the door and wanted to get this out. Is there a certain thing the game looks at when determining who gets what in ops? I'm trying to get my last three Columi pieces (chest/pants/boots) and in their place I'm wearing oranges with daily mods. For some reason they're just not dropping for me in EV but there are several other people in our group that have multiples of some items. It's not a game breaker and doesn't worry me that much since I know there's going to be changes in 1.2 and I can just run some HM FP's for the missing pieces but it is kind of irritating. Also, I"d like to get 2 sets so I completely don't mind multiples. I play a madness assassin so 1 Columi stalker set and 1 Columi survivor set (when I swap to Darkness to tank). My concern is that I won't be able to finish even my main stalker set much less get 2 sets for what I'd like. (yes, I am using my commendations to get what I'm missing). Any insight as to what the game considers when deciding who gets what?

This is a pretty cool idea. I think that if they were BoE and could be crafted from semi-rare dropped schematics or something that would be awesome. Stimulate the economy a bit more and provide some interesting applications in game.

Where do you get the Sith Archon and Blade Tyrants sets? What planet and what mobs drop them? Thanks for the replies all.

Im madness spec as well and I use the columi focus for pve. Run normal mode EV to get it. Its pretty easy. Until then I used my champion focus and it worked just fine.

Ah. Well I have the skirt and bracers I think. I keep killing the champions on hoth to get the supreme gear but no luck. Plenty of other oranges that sell well tho.
