  1. Its less than 10 % actually. Community drives MMOs - Hardcore players create the communities. edit: If you are a casual player, what are you going to do once you are fully raid/pvp geared ? Because even casuals can do that in a week or two here....
  2. Wow man. I have never read such an amazing (and accurate) eulogy to hardcore players. I totally agree 100% - I mean I had full Columi in a week...compare that to Vanilla WoW where Full T1/T2 took many months,AND you needed the gear to beat the higher level Raids (and in many cases, bosses from the same dungeon you were in !) Can't even add anything to this post it is just so perfectly put and true

  4. Not true, since people have cleared Nightmare mode in Tionese/Columi gear. If you assume BW knows how to balance encounters then...well....don't know what to tell you. Hardcore raiders will NOT need to do that...it is just an option. Besides, that is what hardcore players LIKE to do (min/max). What is your argument about, anyway ?

  6. Even though my PC does not support this, I still do. It is really sad they not only did it not make final release, but also (AFAIK) players were lied to about the lack of implementation.
  7. I did not play beta, is that totally for real ? Like, there WAS a combat log (what I among many consider to be an integral feature (pun intended)) in beta, but it was actually removed from the final release? I don't even.... I guess I do believe you actually.

  9. Are you really that astonished ? Seeing the Patch video make me sick - rare lightsaber crystals on a vendor for anyone to get with ZERO work. If I had not already un-subbed, that would have made me.
  10. A large part of the reason I un-subbed was this. Server pop is so low that you can end up facing the same premdade over and over and losing to the same people over and over. That is fair though right ?
  11. Dude. this is nothing but a great change. Think about it - orange gear lets players modify the way they want to look, but only have the mods YOU can get. If a player wants to use his/her raid gear they can still do that too. On the note of augments, not everyone will be able full sets of that stuff - If I was crafting critted gear that looked awesome you bet there would be a price tag. It will stimulate the economy as well. There is really no negative, at all from this change. I'm not sure why the OP thinks so.

I don't know much about game engines, but I do know there are a lot better ones out that other popular MMOs use. Terribly Ugly Gear - Hire me for armor design, seriously. Or watch the movies. Have you ever seen a Sith dressed like the Sith Sorcerer endgame gear ? I like the marauder one but none of the others. You cant even see the face. That would be a good start, but a *** hood is not the best choice. major PvP class Imbalances (sorc/sage/trooper/merc are very OP) -Sage talents. Sage Talents. Sage talents. Too many of the talents are just freebies, where you get utility and damage. they need to be separated out to make a sorc choose between " do I want 10 sec extra cool-down on my Force Speed, or extra damage" For mercs, its pretty much that they have every tool in the book except an interrupt, though grapple/knockback also serves as an interrupt, as well as flames which force you to move. Also the heavy armor is just insane. They are like glorified paladins with unlimited resources. PvP Queing imbalances (premades vs. PUGS) - What else can I suggest here? PvP que should prioritize paring Pre-mades with Pre-mades and PUGS with PUGS. If it can manage to do that, it should then look at the classes in a given WZ to try to balance them. Endgame Content too easy - It is pretty sad when you one-shot every boss in a operation the first time through, especially the last boss. The mechanics are very simple and loosely tuned, allowing for many many mistakes. I'd like to see more difficult encounters, more tightly tuned, with new exciting mechanics and not the same boring ones we have all seen for the past 10 years Group sizes are too small (causes shortage of groups) -Increase FPS to 5 man and scale up the content, and Ops to at least 10/20. Bigger groups = more people get groups = more people see content Too much rhetorical traveling/running -orbital stations, the immense starter (1-17) zones you must run through, all the back and forth for class missions, its just a time-sink with no reward. Let the time-sink be crafting some rare weapon, or farming mats for your Ops consumables, or a reputation grind. Running around should not be the biggest timesink. Faction imbalance(I played Imperial) -It hurts imperials just as much as the Republic. There have been many (ignored) comments on how to incentivize the other faction. Ilum (need I say more) - Too big, needs to be smaller. Needs less things going on for optimal performance. Needs at least closer in numbers teams for fun battles, and not mindless zerging. Needs real rewards besides just killing people (think like Tol Berad) PVP instance objectives (people just want to kill other people for **** sake I will play deathmatch all day long **** GUARDING TURRETS AND DOORS) -Nothing is worse than queing for pvp and losing over and over because your entire team just wanted to farm kills and completely ignored the objectives. Please find a way to stop thing from happening, and let people who want to just kill each other do so in a death-match type WZ. Healers Under-powered in PvP - have to rely on a tank (compare to other MMO healing) - Any good DPS can take down a healer 1v1. What is the point of healing then if it only takes one person to kill you ? Take a look at WoW healing PvP and take suggestions from there. Lack of combat log - Add one Lack of add-ons -Add support for add ones Lack of macros - Its nice to pop an adrenal and relic at the same time as well as a class skill to get maximum benefit. macros make this possible Lack of customizable UI - Plans are to make this happen AFAIK Terrible UI -Big and bulky, needs to be streamlined with a lot more options Slow/unresponsive controls -Probably because of the engine Poor gear progression (completely skip Tionese, *** is the point ??) - I don't know how to fix this...that is the developers job after all Bad Crafting System, very few useful items -Make items for each profession that characters at max level will need and use, for instance a next-to best in slot item for each profession for personal use, and items that can be sold for actual profit. Reverse Engineering completely fails - Just a bad system through and through Space Missions extremely boring, rail system is terrible -Did them just for the exp/money. I would go play and arcade game if I wanted this kind of gameplay. I wanted open space combat...it was very disappointing Faction questing separated in zones (I rolled a PvP server for PVP not separated questing - *** were the devs thinking ?) - Seriously...I rolled a PvP server and when I reached 30 or so and still had not seen anyone from the opposite faction I was beginning to wonder what was going on ? It was then i learned all the questing was separated out in each zone. Why ? What is the point of a PvP server than ? Just to go harass lowbies ????   18. First off, you can look at my post history and see that I was against LFG/LFD. I don't need to back up these claims because anyone with a computer can check and verify this. Before, I thought that part of the fun of the game, and challenge, was finding the group - I still do. Before, I believed that some people could not find groups because they were not reputable, or maybe their skills were not quite up to par with what certain group leaders wanted. I still think that is possible. Finally, I thought that LFG/LFD tool leads and caters apathy. " Why care about my gear/rotation/damage when I will never see these people again ? All that matters is we make it through ". I also think this is still true. But What I failed to see before is that, even if these things are true.. It doesn't matter It doesn't matter ! Why ? 1) People who don't need LFG/LFD still won't use it - they have guildies or friends to run things with 2) People who are apathetic are like that anyway. Any effect the tool has would be negligible on someone with a pre-existing mindset 3) Times have changed. People are a lot busier and MMOs are modernized. Players want to log in, enjoy a dungeon or some pvp, and go on with their day. As a once staunch supporter of the anti-LFG tool group, I can with confidence say that I so now support it in full. I think there should be sanctions (for instance gear minimums easily attainable with some personal effort), and rewards (for the tanks and healers who do not need to use it). Anyway I don't want to ramble on, but it is something I have been thinking about.

  20. Darn man I really feel for you that is terrible. I know BW is against merging servers for the simple fact of the image that can be percieved, but dead servers are always a problem in MMOs and usually they are solved by character transfers or merges - neither of which we have seen. Your situation sucks and really I wish there was something I could do for you. All I can offer is that if you roll a toon on Hedarr Soongh I can give you some money to start with...otherwise I would just say un-sub until they make an option available to you. Problem is you probably enjoy playing and want to continue to play - on your main - but cannot. :-(
