  1. Am i the only one that is annoyed by this. my last post 3 minutes ago said it was posted at 6:06 Am.... It is only 10:17 pm PST. We all know there are different versions of this website for different languages so why isn't ours on a reasonable time zone? I know it's a small thing but it doesn't make sense to me.
  2. Gearing up, and casual guild never go well together. If you seriously want to get people geared up then you need people that want to gear up. A good way to get decent enough gear to do ops/hmfp's is to do your dalies and buy the gear from the dailies vendor. they sell really decent armoring and you can get mods and enhancements for the heroic 2's on belsavis and ilum. FP's are doable by fresh 50's. They will not be easy but you can do it. Just make sure you start off with the easier ones and not the hard ones. Also normal mode Eternity Vault is really simple.
  3. I was reading through another thread, and decided i would finally write up this post. This is something that has been bothering me for a long time now and i am just getting to actually saying something about it. Why is that we are penalized so badly for dying in ops and flashpoints. I don't mean gear being broken, but the 10 minute speeder flight or the marathon run back to the bosses. Cases in point: Explosive Conflict: After a wipe on tanks you are required to run from the beginning of the instance past toth and zorn arena through the cave, up the hill, over the log, up the hill more, across the river, and we are finally back to the boss. Why is there no speeder up to the door once you get to the door for the first time? Kephess is even worse. Taking a 6 minute speeder right to puzzle, followed by 2 caves, a zone shift, and then a 1/2 mile run up the hill is just silly. Lost Island: pretty much every boss you wipe on requires you to run 1/2 way through the zone to get back to the fight. Eternity Vault: Speeder from the start of the zone to get all the way to the last boss? its like a 6 minute trip. I haven't wipe in EV for a long time but i remember how annoying it was when we were still trying to get nightmare worked out. Both Ilum HM: EPIC long runs to get back to bosses. Some of them include zoning 5 times before finally getting back to the fighting. Where are the instant teleporting speeders that we got in KP? I for one could care less to see the zone from speederback and would rather have more time to kill bosses. We have even seen an AWESOME alternative to the speeders on belsavis with the teleporters. On a slightly different note. I have seen the star wars movies, and I am 100% sure that speeders don't travel at 45 miles an hour. So whats the deal with 110% mount speed. I was imagining Motion blur i was moving so fast on these things. Even if you don't give us faster mounts for the love of god speed up the preset travel points. You are not fooling anyone with your useless time-sinks bioware. Giving us stupid long travel times in a galaxy that is supposed to be highly advanced is a total contradiction. For a company that is so dedicated to immersing us in the wars galaxy you have certainly dropped the ball on this one.
  4. I read through the first few pages of this post, and have a few things to say. I was able to run through all of LI in under 45 minutes today with some guildies. it was tough the first few times as we learned the new mechanics and how to counter them, but i think that is a good thing. I like many enjoy the challenge. That being said I 100% agree with the OP about speeders. THIS is a HUGE problem in almost every zone. EC is a great example of this. No speeder until after tanks? this seems really stupid choice to me. Wiping on tanks means you have a minimum 5 minute walk back and usually more depending on the machines that your raid is running on. For progression content that most guilds wipe many time son before learning this means you could be wasting more than 1/2 your raid time running back to bosses. Also why are we not using Teleporters Biowae? we clearly see the technology is possible on belsavis. Or even use the speeder style used in KP, click the speeder isnta teleported to where you need to be instead of watching the scenic route for the 700th time.

  6. I am a Sage healer, so this is purely from a healing perspective. I do have a Raid geared guard tank, but i do not claim to be an expert on that subject. Tanks They really don't matter honestly. All 3 tanks are very good atm. That being said, i prefer Vanguard/Guardian Combo. The vangaurds ranged attacks, though limited, make him better for kiting a boss while still maintaining agro. Main: Vangaurd Off: Guardian Healers Once again all 3 are really strong now and any combo could work for 8 man ops. Sage: Bubbles are beast, and so is Rescue. Their AoE heals i find people grossly overestimate. it crit heals for around 700-800 a tick. The commando's kolto grenade can crit for 4k on its first hit. so it almost does all the healing in one go vs over time. so well timed co-oridinated bombs are HUGE. Commando/Operative: Based on test that myself and a commando friend have run. no other class can keep up as much single target throughput as a commando. They are AMAZING tank healers. Operatives have some great util, stealth rez is boss. Deeps I see you went with 2 melee dps and let me just say, they are great dps but pretty much every fight in this game is unforgiving for melee, and can be more easily accomplished by ranged dps classes. that out of the way my favorite combo is like this. 2 Gunslingers: yeah 2, their shields are Invaluable and having 2 of them is sick. 1 Sentinel: a good sentinal can pull some amazing dps and in a pinch if he can keep himself up on the threat he can off tank for a good 5-8 seconds with good cd's, while you rez a gibbed tank. 1 Sage: Sorc dps right now is broken strong, and this helps balance your raid with 2 of each class. If loot ever goes back to pre EC style loot then this is a big benefit. So condensed list: 2 Knights, 2 Consulars, 2 Troopers, 2 Smugglers. Tanks: MT: Vanguard OT: Guardian Heals: Sage: Utility is unmatched Commando: Great sustained tank heals Dps: 2 Gunslingers 1 Sentinel 1 Sage
  7. 7 PM server time, and 8 people on my fleet. 38 people on the whole server. Yeah there are definitely enough people.
  8. Thanks for your insights. I am gonna have the tank dig through his logs to see what is going on. We have has this happen with the boss at about 20% hp so it can't possibly be the Dot tick that is doing the damage. also its not cleaves that is killing the tanks. Well let me rephrase that, the boss is not just attacking one tank and the other tank dies off in the distance. The boss is 'teleporting' instantaneously to the other thank and hitting him for 30+k damage.

During the Kephess fight, In the instnace Denova, we are experience a teleportation bug from kephess during the second phase of him being the ground. we refer to is as the 5th phase.. 1st phase is 3 robots, 2nd phase is mob packs 3rd phase pulsar droids. 4th phase kephess 100%-60% 5th phase Kephess 60-0% <---- THIS IS WHERE THE BUG IS OCCURING After he channels gift of the masters and pulls everyone in. Our Tank 2 taunts off Tank 1, as he is low hp from the giant purple channeld skill. Kephess is a giant purple monster at this point. After he punts tank 2, Tank 1 Taunts back so that tank 2 can go drop purple pools. THIS is where the problem is arising. So lets recap Tank 1 has the boss at this point tanking Kephess. Tank 2 is currently dropping purple pools. Randomly Kephess is INSTANTLY teleporting to tank 2 (the tank dropping pools), and hitting him for 30k with "Savage Arching Slash". This happens anywhere from 2-10 seconds after tank 1 taunts off him. After teleporting to tank 2 he just starts running back at tank 1 as if nothing happened. We are 100% sure that he is not leaping as one moment he is on tank 1 30 meters away and the next moment he is ontop of the corpse of tank 2. The raid make-up is as folows 2 Sage healers 1 Guardian Tank 1 Vanguard tank 1 Sentinal DPS 2 Gunslinger DPS 1 Commando DPS Not sure that it matters but i think that the tanks are guarding the slingers.
  10. "Top Dev priority".. and yet it still isn't coming until "summer". Given biowares timetables to date summer probably means august just before fall. This is WAY to long for those of us on server wtih maybe 60 active players. as of noon there is currently 38 people on my server.. not on the fleet the entire server.
  11. Oh another suggestion. I think it would be CRAZY awesome if we could send out the companions of all of our characters from one ui. IE I have my main who is an artifice/archeo/treasure, and an alt who is biochem/bio analysis/diplomacy. From one window i can see all 12 of my companions. but the companions can still only work in respec to character they belong to. Also you can't summon other characters alts. I think this would be really neat. I for one hate logging back and forth all day to keep my companions on missions.
  12. I would love to see a title for getting all the datacrons. it was a lot of work and i think it is title worthy. "the puzzle master" would be sweet .
  13. Can you use the Group name to connect as well as the key? or do you have to use the key?
  14. I am sorry that you have so many people on your server that must REALLY suck... please make a real complaint or go to the help desk.. i was the only person on my fleet at 10pm last ngiht. .. as of this post there are 11 people on my fleet. and 53 people on the whole server.

  17. It's funny how you think the cd's would have made THAT big a difference in the end.
  18. look at the timing.... the second hit comes .296 seconds after the first.. figure 60-100 ms server lag. that gives you about .200 ms to react the human reaction time is slower than that. +he is coming out of invis so figure .25 seconds for the animation for him to even show up. don't know about you but i kinda doubt i am gonna catch a skill that is .3 seconds apart.   21. I rarely see people post actually number.. all i see is "oh no a marauder stole my lunch money". followed by FOTM players "we aren't that op just use all of your cd's and live for 7 more seconds".
  22. this right here is what is wrong. "life-prolongers". lets say i did have my abilities up.. Stun him after first hit.. still took 5.4k dmg. Force speed, oh yeah sentinal has a nice little counter for that.. Force choke. Force leap resume ****** me.
  23. also. show me one log of anotehr class doing 15k+ damage in 5 seconds.
