  1. #1 Legacy Surnames: This has irritated me so much I've almost quit over it just cause I find the system so stupidly restrictive. In beta, when they rolled out the legacy plans and announced all characters for a player would share the same last name 70%+ of players (via an actual poll) were against that and wanted it changed. Instead of fixing it, the thread was deleted at the ends of beta as is customary and EA/Bioware went with it as is. So on the first server I played on I got my legacy name, and it really on fit one character, so I didn't bother using it at all for anyone else, and after switching servers, even though I've had the option, I still haven't bothered to select my legacy name because finding one that fits all characters of both factions is an exercise in frustration. I wanted 8 characters with their own unique stories, names and histories, not 8 characters all with the same last name, despite no contact, no sharing of blood, being of different species, factions, etc. The system literally makes no sense! #2 Legacy XP and Bonuses should be account wide: Pretty self explanatory. When I switched servers I was completely frustrated that I had lost everything experience wise and bonus wise that I had worked for on my then dead server at the time. Limiting this to a single server is restrictive and shows a lack of foresight. #3 Can't modify appearance after character creation: Can't change hairstyles, add scars, etc. Such a complete lack of a standard system in most modern MMOs. #4 The appearance system in general. This orange gear stuff and paying hundreds of thousands of credits to switch mods, etc., is just a complete exercise in frustration and tedium. OP has it right that something like DCU, which allowed remembered styles and color customization was far superior. Even a Rift style system with dyes and separate appearance slots would be far superior to what was put in place here. Unify colors to chest piece really is just a boring option in place of actually allowing us to modify colors of items as we see fit. #5 The inability to raise and lower hoods. My first character was a Jedi Guardian. I stopped playing him when every outfit I got had a hood up which blocked his face in cut-scenes and caused his hair to disappear so he looked bald when he wasn't. I still won't play Jedis until that issue is resolved.
  2. How is a double all "All characters on qualifying servers and all destination servers" confusing for some people? All.
  3. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=498671
  4. It says all characters on the destination servers. In other words, those already there. Learn 2 English.
  5. Paid character transfers do not alter server populations. I have 8 characters on Ebon Hawk, but some of those are just place holder characters which will be deleted in order to affect the transfer process, so the amount of characters stays the same, but so does the amount of players as I am already playing there and not on another server. I have 4 characters I'd like to transfer. That's extra $ in EA/Bioware's pocket for a service they already know works and have set up. I simply want to consolidate my characters and resources on to one server. Please allow me to do so!!
  6. Add me to the list of people who want paid character transfers or a more broader base of options. I already transfered all my toons to Jung Ma (RP-PvP), which is a good server, don't get me wrong. Then I saw The Ebon Hawk (RP), which I had pre-made characters on in early start was now a very popular server now too. Looking into the Ebon Hawk a little I found that it had a much broader Roleplaying base, even though it was not a PvP server, but since there was rarely if ever any actual world PvP, I figured I could live without it anyway, so I decided to start playing some new characters on the Ebon Hawk. That said, I do feel like I'm kind of wasting what would otherwise be counted as Legacy XP by not having my high level characters on that server, and I wouldn't mind having their financial resources at my disposal, so I'd like ot have the option to transfer them. This would not effect the population of Jung Ma because I'm already not presently playing there anyway, so that argument really does not hold water.
  7. I hope you guys haven't actually been wasting your time reporting them considering the server description itself says they aren't going to enforce any special naming convention rules for the server. Hell, we had guys named Peanutbutter and Jelly running around.
  8. Nice to see that I have a reason to stay unsubscribed.
  9. If you're gonna have a weekly forum round up post, it should've included the fact that like hundreds of threads about people wanting more information, wanting server mergers or transfers and letting people know they were unsubscribing and/or going to play Diablo 3 because of a development failure of an unfortunately high level has left them frustrated. Also, there should've been a quote under that one about how tons of people, I'm sure, pointed out the fact that they can't even get groups for 4 person flashpoints, let alone 16 man operations. Heck, some servers don't even have 16 people on fleet in primetime!
  10. You completely missed the point, but I'm not surprised. I don't play on the Fatman. My point is that other servers can be made to have Heavy populations if re-rolls were a little more organized among the community. You're incorrect in your false choice logical falacy. There are currently servers almost always in the Standard range with healthy populations. If more people rolled on them as an alternative to Fatman, you'd have Heavy to Very Heavy population servers without any queues, hence you being wrong. Also, as I said, this is not a thread complaining about queues, its a thread about trying to save/populate a wider array of servers.
  11. You're incorrect. In a server meger, everyone from the old server ends up on the same new server. In optional character transfers, presumably to multiple optional destinations, they don't. Also, its pointless to leave the now deader server up with people who stayed now having less people to play with. A server merger is therefore superior.
  12. "Early Summer", which in MMO Dev speak could end up meaning mid to late summer, unfortunately. But, really, it doesn't make sense. They'll allow people to transfer, than leave a hundred or so dead servers just floating there.
  13. You're incorrect. Jedi Covenant, East Coast PvE, is the #2 populated U.S. Server and it is typically Heavy or Very Heavy during prime hours. Here is the point though: At some point in the next few months Bioware will finally allow transfers. We could be saving other servers now that are still healthy and viable and would be even more so when transfers are allowed. If not, then you can always transfer those characters to the Fatman later. Also, it is called the Fatman (for the poster above) because that is the name of the Smuggler's ship, apparently, in the Return trailer for the game.
  14. I wish I could redo my Sith Warrior's looks a little. Just one more basic system most MMO's have that this game doesn't!
  15. Yes, but they haven't said they will do a merge. They just said they are going to allow character transfers. I agree that a targeted merge of servers would be far and away the best thing.
