As a solo player, why cant i buy the Class Buffs?

How can i enjoy them if i never have access to them? Secondly, we dont have smuggler in our guild, and that buff would be great! Are you stating that the buff does not apply group wide? You seem to know how it works, if you can confirm that would be great!

Thats my point really ... BW stated that they would like to make it as fair as possible for people who have no interest in levelling alts. But going through All of the perks that can be purchased, i dont really see anything of interest. Sure i can buy a new race - how does that help me? I can set up a family tree - yay, one person! The only unlocks i can see any benefit in are the ship unlocks - Repair droid – 1 million and Legacy Level 7 to unlock Ship Mailbox – 500 k and Legacy level 10 to unlock Operations training dummy – 500 k and Legacy Level 10 to unlock Warzone training dummy – 500 k and Legacy level 10 to unlock Galactic Market Kiosk – 5 million and Legacy level 25 to unlock The more i look at it, the less i find appealing. I just want the other class buffs, how hard is that to understand?

I have just discovered that we will be required to complete chapter 2 of class quests to gain class specific buffs for our characters (though legacy – screenshot here http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/6_thumb4.jpg). This was one of the only things I was really looking forward to from the legacy system - but as I do not have an interest in levelling alts, its looks like this will be unavailable for me. I’m not concerned too much about heroic moment buffs or class skills – just the class buff also applied when I buff myself. Can anyone confirm that this is not the case, or has conflicting info? I would be really disappointed if this was true. I thought BW stated that they would not be gimping people who chose to play single characters or like solo content. What are people’s thoughts on this?

I posted about the exact issue with Rakat gear the other day. They need to identify "foreign" mods / enhancements and place them in your bags, then upgrade the gear to whatever is happening with it during the patch. I have replaced too many enhancements to know what the hell goes where (im not even sure ive kept all the stuff i pulled out). Honestly, these guys couldnt organise a pissup in a brewery ....

This is what worries me, 1.2 does not look as big as they are making it out to be. I give it 2 months MAX before we are back at the same point we are at now. It better be good, and it better keep me engaged in the content or i see myself leaving and just playing D3 (which i dont really want, because i want SWTOR to succeed!!)

Nightmare OPS bosses drop Armoring / Mods / enhancements that are BOE.

From the latest patch notes - "The War Hero (Rated) chest, head, legs, hands, and feet items now come with empty modification slots. They can be purchased for Ranked Warzone Commendations. The wrist and belt items are still purchased by trading in the equivalent non-ranked item and spending Ranked Warzone Commendations, and cases of non-equivalent stats have been corrected" not sure if also applies to weapons, but i wouldnt be surprised.

You're doing it wrong - thats as blunt as it can be said (im going to pretend you are not trolling here). By 25ish you should have mostly orange gear in your main slots. Keep it, dont get of it or sell it. Now when you level through the planets, select the commendations as quest rewards. Once you are finished with the planet, head over to the commendations vendor and upgrade hilts and armoring. Any quests that give just items that you dont need, gear up doc. This will help with your gear. Im not going to provide feedback on specs etc, you will need to figure that out - there are plenty of guides around (check youtube). Maybe at the end of the day, you should just face the facts - you are not a very skilled player.

I have removed that many enhancements from the rakata gear i have no idea which are originals anymore. Why in gods name cant they just restore all the gear to its original itemised state and place any "foreign" mods / enhancement in your bags?

No, im not bad ... its the classes being OP and the imba gear ... wait, what? oh thats right, ive been a sentinel from day one. Its been interesting to watch the sent / mara forums. It kinda started off as a whine about the changes from beta on release. Tnen it went to "when are we getting a buff". Then it moved to "hey guyths, go watchman / anni its loltacular". We are in the closing stages of the full circle, as we have hit the nerf stage.

Get the illum quest from fleet and head over there. The prereq's + daily's are close to half a level ...

Yes, "Boss" has just become the term used for encounter - encompasing all mobs within the fight. Im wondering where all the loot will come from if there is only 4. Looks like Black Hole comms are going to be used to purchase a lot of the items. This is a little concerning, considering one of the patch notes stated that they will also drop from NMM EV and KP - are they really expecting us to keep running these places to progress our gear at a decent rate? May 15th cant come fast enough by the sounds....

You fail to realise ADULTS play this game (im not claiming you are not an adult, so dont sulk), and this is one of the only days i get to play. I have kids, and i can generally play after 9pm when they go to bed. No work saturday means game night Friday (and sometimes saturday). This is very frustrating, they need to sort out different maintenance times for different zones. I play on an oceanic server, why the hell would it go down at what most here would consider prime time. Yes QQ moar i know ... and sure ill cop it on the chin, but if these maint times continue i might aswell not play at all ...

The only fight id like it to work on bugs when you use it - so i specd out of it (SOA NMM lightning orbs) its really not a requirement, and any uptime arguments people want to try and bring are welcome ....

Im with you dude, i avoid them like the plague .... if i see one, i move along like nothing ever occured - sins can be a pain also .... One query i have to the OP though - you stated that people will be wearing crit augmented craftables, are we all going to be wearing crafted gear or something? In all seriousness, i dont mind a few oranges being BiS (like belt and bracers atm), but crafting a full set of "ugly orange" gear sounds terrible. gee i hope not ...

This still isnt very clear. Im only concerned about class buffs, can they be purchased? Id be a little dissapointed if i HAD to play more than 1 or two chars just to gain a better buff.

I dont think we will see many issues in Ald or Hutball, as backup in ald tends to take a little time and its easy to seperate players with knockbacks in hutball. Voidstar on the other hand is going to be a long and drwn out grind fest, this is undeniable. As for the OP, i like your shield change but disagree with the taunt suggestion.
