There is a "horrid FPS thread" that is thousands upon thousands of posts long. Bioware went on record as saying "Only 5% of players experience performance issues" But then at the same time, Disable High res textures for us all.... hmmm interesting. Almost as if everyone would have performance issues with this game to some extent? yea... game engine is horrible. Add yourself to the list. Wait till you get to lvl 50 and fight in Ilum.. even with a mid-high end pc you will get like 5fps...

They do it deliberately so you have to spend more time playing the game duh...

Is that confirmed? With my Tactics vanguard, Gut is a main part of my rotation, pretty much everyone I fight is recieving damage over time... I have never once seen it Tick and have an invisible person reappear. I always have to use my stealth robot detector things...

I can understand being able to invis in combat, It really should break from Dot though. If I have the wherewithal to DoT somone just before they try to Invis and run away, I should be rewarded with breaking there stealth, and being able to finish them. Works like that in every other game I have played of this nature.

Can anyone recommend a good recording program that wont kill my FPS? I really need to make a PVP vid with no editing... Just straight up beginning to end BG. If you cut to yourself killing various people, It doesnt really give a sense of what your skill level is at all. and correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think I saw a single scoreboard on there? (I admittedly did not watch the whole thing)

Well that's wonderful that you think it is "The best game out there", how cute. As you admitted you are a "casual gamer" so I guess you don't really know better. To each his own I guess, I too enjoy the game to a certain extent but... best game ever? I wont try to understand... people are just different... Some people also like olives? can you believe that ****? olives...? **** olives... and also **** this broken game... Edit: Also you really should broaden your horizons.. As one poster already has said.. Witcher 2 is excellent. One of the few games that has given me goosebumps over its coolness at points. Very hard to produce that effect in me as I am the opposite of casual.... Hardcore and extremely jaded.

Why does anyone believe that it is really a deeper issue like "gluttonous consumers" or "people used to wow" The heroic quests offer no real benefits long term, And are in essence very similar to every other quest in the game... just with harder monsters, or some kind of "boss" (which is basically a Larger version of some other kind of monster we have already seen). THERE IS NO POINT IN DOING THEM PERIOD!! THAT'S WHY MOST PEOPLE DON'T BOTHER. Really it's that simple.... There is no deeper reasoning... No its not because we are used to WoW or are lazy... It's *********** pointless to do them at all unless its really convenient.. seriously think about it. Some people who haven't played enough video games to be desensitised to pointless tripe, may be stimulated by those quests and find them fun... But really... There is no reason to bother guys... Just skip them... Do a flashpoint... It is not at all a matter of not wanting to group. Playing in a group to me is wayyy more fun... No denying it. That's why I enjoy flashpoints. Heroic quests? Pain in the butt to get a group together and when you consider the time it takes vs the reward you receive.. Its common sense... DUH DON'T BOTHER IT'S POINTLESS DERP? Does that mean I'm lazy and anti social and should go back to WoW? **** no it doesn't. EVERY SINGLE THING YOU DO IN THIS GAME IS IN THE HOPES OF ACCUMULATING WEALTH.. IT DEFINES THE MMO GENRE. IF YOU DON'T THROW SOMETHING SHINY AT ME... AT LEAST MAKE IT INTERESTING.

Yea I second this, I thought Sentinel was supposed to be bad based on everything I have heard from not only the forums, but general chat in the game. I said **** it and made one last night (Wanted 2 lightsabers..), at level 13 I got the screenshots to prove it (yes we are talking number 1 dmg in a warzone at lvl 13... If you complain about me being in your warzone without sprint you are a noob and I pwn you)... class kicks a lot of ***, and hits harder then any other char I have. It even seems to have pretty good survivability If you play it right and use all your abilities... Lets keep this a secret though, perhaps sentinels will get a buff if people think they suck so bad...

Throw doesn't stun... it also slows... at least it does on my sage. (If you put points into a talent, it has a chance to also throw a larger chunk of rock, that I think can stun.) The classes really are mirrors as far as I can tell. Sage/sorc is extremely easy to play effectively as anyone can see by that video... Add a full bar of all your abilities and it has to be the most effective class in the game overall. (DPS/CC/Heals/utility) Also you have no way of knowing with any degree of certainty which one does more damage (FL vs TK throw), as there are no combat logs. Please refrain from talking out of your bumhole

I think it's because there isn't really any point for a player to bother with those heroic quests. You can glaze over them and not miss out on anything really. The only time I ever bother is if I am right next door to the quest area, or I notice someone say "PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE GROUP WITH ME"

I have never seen a match decided that early purely as a result of people taking those shortcuts. Most noobs don't know they can even do that and even the ones that see me do it, don't care to try. You are grossly over exaggerating the benefit of jumping that wall instead of running around it... That being the case.. I don't care if they change it... which they probably wont because if anything it just makes the map more interesting. I do not understand your logic as to how such a simple change as this would make that map more unpredictable or interesting at all. If anything it will further increase instances of the imperials on my server storming mid and then easily going back and forth between the other points the normal way.

I use that all the time. I don't see that as being an exploit in any way shape or form... You are just climbing the map a bit. You can still be seen, you are not accessing some special area that makes you invisible or anything. Everyone should do it...

Does anyone else find it strange that you didn't get medals for objectives in the first place? It seems very basic.. Seriously even those of us who know nothing about anything... If you where designing a PVP warzones reward system... First thing you would want rewards for is accomplishing the objectives in the Warzone no? Anyway glad they are working on it... Seems really *********** stupid it's taking this long though.

How is that stupid? Love the game in it's current state? No LFG tool.. Ilum pvp planet does not work by the Development teams own admission... If you say yes you should be stuck with it, because as far as you're concerned this is good enough. You're stupid if you don't understand the question. In its current state it is outdated and terrible... They are furiously trying to add things that most people would expect in a brand new MMO. While also trying really hard to fix things that have been broken since Beta.

In it's current state? NO anyone who said yes should be required to play 1.1.3 or whatever patch we are on, from now until they explode. No fixes for you. Bioware doesn't even like the game in it's current state... that's why they are fixing it...

1: better overall performance/optimization. 2: More WZ's 3: LFG tool.. so I can just do flashpoints and ignore the storylines... except for when I'm required to complete my class "storyline"

I definitely didn't like having 50's in the same bracket as me. But during my lower levels. (11-30) I performed absolutely fine, and was not a detriment to my team at all. I guarantee you... at level 20 ill outperform you on a WZ... How do I know this? Only bad players ever complain about the level makeup of there WZ team. Usually those whiners place wayyyy below me on the scoreboard. Granted... You are at a disadvantage... But seriously... so many level 40+ people I have seen whine about this very thing... Only to be made to look like morons when I dominate them on the scoreboard. lower level? Adapt your playstyle or perish. Edit: ill Take a lvl 20 who hugs the objective and always.. ALWAYS attacks someone attempting to plant, or grab an objective. Over some scrub who is in full pvp gear 40+ who thinks he is hot **** and spends the whole WZ trying to kill whore.

It seems like there is a lot of negativity on the forums and some spread around the internet about SWTOR and obviously, a lot of it for good reason. But there are a group of people who are wholeheartedly content with this game that believe, the majority of the people posting negativity on this forum are just "trolling". I'm just wondering.... Is it really possible? That such a seemingly large number of people would be so dedicated to bringing this game down. Or is it more possible, These people wanted to like it... but the game is pretty bad in a lot of ways.... Seriously.. If the game was actually good... 90% of the funny negative comments and quips wouldn't even be possible... Logic would prevail... and the game would be no worse off. TROLLS CANNOT KILL A TRULY GOOD GAME. Unfortunately though, a lot of the negative comments and responses the game have received are entirely justified. The haters bought this game wanting it to be great... don't you people get that? You don't go out and pay full price for a game at launch just so you can go on the forums and trash it.... I paid over 200$ for the deluxe edition plus some game time... was this game worth that? Seriously look how much **** is broken... Games a solid 6.5 out of 10.... If you honestly have no issues with this game.. You are completely useless because you offer NO constructive criticism for the devs and NO input on ways to improve this broken ****en game.

With how buggy this game is, there are going to be a lot of rage situations over WZ leaving penalties. I have never left a Warzone deliberately.. But I have crashed, disconnected, or been booted from a Warzone for being AFK while I was STUCK. I know I am not alone in that happening too often... Adding a WZ penalty to that will be extremely annoying... There better be a way for the game to know it ****ed up and not give me a penalty.

I like the way my Vanguard plays. I enjoy tanking with a ranged weapon. I really enjoy smashing people in PVP. Not much else. Edit: having a companion that I can gear is nice, which allows me to solo or at least Duo any content I need to.

Sick humor is the best kind... It's not a game review. It is basically just him posting his final comments on what made him finally rage quit. If that was the 1 and only issue he had with an otherwise awesome game that he loved every bit of... That would of course be insane...clearly that is not the case. (but that is just me giving him the benefit of the doubt... and to others, this is not so clear) Edit: perhaps instead of "rage quit" I should have put "Rage unsubcribe and probably come back later?"
