Unfortunately it's not always easy to get your money back.... So its not as simple as saying "Don't like it? Don't play it" No I'm not complaining cause I have nothing else to play... A lot of people have legitimate complaints about a product they paid for, and would rather have fixed then just write off completely. And anyone with even below average intelligence can do 2 minutes of research on the web and discover that they really did misrepresent the graphics and overall quality of the game and there is no arguing against it. If you don't like to read those threads? don't read them?

Come on, where are all the people with "no issues"?? tell me how wrong I am? or is "no issues" to you just being able to play the game at all? and your eyes/brain don't notice dips in fps?

Some kind of actual human response would be awsome...Seriously is there not one person in the bioware office that see's these forums that just wants to shout out and say SORRY BROS! Such misrepresentation would not be tolerated in ANY other situation.

Every time the discussion of the High Rez texures debacle comes up on this forum. There is a certain section of people that attack you, if you consider good graphics an important and defining part of a game experience...Why is that? Has anyone ever heard that cooking is __% presentation? Anyone who cares about cars, knows its very important to not just have muscle under the hood, but to have a nice coat of paint and beautiful lines. How many people where taught growing up that your resume must me formatted and presented nicely and that is way more important then whatever little experience you may have? Visual Presentation is key in SO MANY FACETS OF LIFE. WHY IN SUCH A VISUAL ART AS VIDEO GAMES, IS IT SO WRONG TO EXPECT THE GRAPHICS TO LOOK GOOD. Is it that I am not a true fan of the medium? and I don't appreciate good gameplay? Or is it that I understand and appreciate this art SO MUCH and have seen SO MUCH of it, That when something is as poorly PRESENTED as Swotor is in this day and age, I am disgusted and disappointed. ESPECIALLY when even now, if I were to research this game in the hopes of buying it. I would be greeted by beautiful High rez screenshots nicely cleaned up on there website. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS??? BECAUSE GRAPHICS ARE IMPORTANT!!!! I would not have reason to be disappointed if every bit of OFFICIAL footage of the game and screenshots I viewed leading up to me buying this game, looked anything like what is shown in the final product.

The more I read on biowares explanation of this issue the more it seems like they are sweeping it under the rug? If you know your engine is poorly optomized then simply tell the truth. How can this company have the disgusting audacity to claim in interviews that only 5% of the player population experiences below average performance, and would just call them simply "bugs" that are more prominent on low end systems. Is it really that hard for you to just plainly say, "Yea our engine needs a lot of work at its very core, and you aren't crazy for thinking this." I would fully accept that explanation. Why is it preferred to be so shady?

Lol what? are you implying that I said, I use water cooling on my laptop? I use a Coolermaster stand. You can place the fans wherever you want and it actually works, unlike a lot of laptop coolers. Who knows how long it will last but...Overclocking a laptop with no extra cooling of any kind is a bad idea. You have to look where your vents are placed on the laptop to make the right decision. Not just drop your laptop on flat surface with a big central fan.

I play the game on a laptop that is not considered high end anymore but, too my understanding kills the recommended specs. Why is it that I was able to play battlefield bad company 2, Witcher 2, Deus Ex human revolution. All on High settings. But this game jumps all over the place between 100+ fps during cut scenes down to 20-40fps in fleet, and depending on the warzone as low 20 and below. I play on an Acer Aspire Timeline X Intel I5 processor 460M with turbo boost Graphics Card = Radeon HD5650 1GiG Overclocked to 650mhz core 1000mhz memory (instead of 550/850 or watever the stock speed is) Dont worry it is not overheating as I have an aftermarket cooling solution as well and I monitor my temps. I have the latest Catalyst drivers even though they do not release official drivers for laptops with switchable graphics. Don't dare try to tell me its my hacked drivers. I upgraded my laptop from 4 gigs, to 8 gigs of the fastest ram this thing can run. my operating system is windows 7 64 bit How in the heck can people scoff at these performance issues and say it's just people with crappy systems. My system is no beast but it runs beastly games on high settings. This laptop although it only cost me about 1k after shipping and taxes, about a year and a half ago. has served me well in every situation. Let me also add that I am playing with shadows OFF, Bloom OFF, and only 2x anti aliasing forced through the catalyst control centre. I get the same fps issues with anti aliasing off but the game looks so much worse. I have also Reformatted very recently and reloaded with all the latest drivers. my computer is fresh as a daisy. Edit: I am also playing at 1366x768 Resolution (max resolution for the laptops screen)...so THE GAME DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO PRODUCE 1080P!!! and it still RUNS LIKE GARBAGE Edit2: Let me also add that I have tried many forum tweaks, and even disable all of windows 7's bells and whistles to scrape every bit of performance I can out of this thing.

I don't understand why this is such a debate with people. Expertise makes you tough as ****...and if you are level 50, you have a full range of all your skills which DUH MAKES YOU MORE POWERFUL THEN YOUR OPPONENT. GRANTED.... OF COURSE I can effectively PVP at any level range and even fight a 50 and come out on top under the right circumstances and overcome those odds. I do it regularly and have enjoyed my PVP experience thus far. But I am still OVERCOMING a DISADVANTAGE... The fact is if you are level 50 you have a huge advantage. Brackets really only hurt players who cannot win on a more even playing field... It is really that black and white. The bolster system is not completely terrible. Just flawed.

I play on Shadowtown as well. I have Queued for Warzones scince I hit the minimum level. At level 33 i am lvl 20ish valor and have won/lost I would say an even number of matches... I have Experienced getting trounced by the Empire and also vice versa.
