  1. What I wish is that we could turn ON level sync for loot. I would love to get planet appropriate gear again! I have so many partial sets of heroic gear I would like to finish off. And I could farm for rare drops again too! Oo even better if they put the pre-4.0 heroic and flashpoint gear into the syned loot profile! I know it's a pipe-dream, but looting is just so boring and pointless now.
  2. The only thing I can think of is trying the EA help board. I have heard they are better than the poo show that CS has become. https://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-The-Old-Republic/ct-p/star-wars-the-old-republic-en
  3. Follow up the ticket with another and link the official announcement that clearly shows you had until today to log in. Your first ticket proves you had logged in on time. Maybe send Jackie a pm too.
  4. Using a customization is a workaround, not a fix, and not a very good one at that. I prefer original Scourge and original Vector over any of the customizations. Unless they stealth fixed his skin, your bodyguard will have a unitard and bra under any revealing outfit, just like default Vector and Scrouge. Try it. It's pretty funny.
  5. How long has it been? The log in window doesn't end until tomorrow, but I got mine within minutes of logging in. Probably wouldn't hurt to submit a ticket right now. That way she will have proof of logging in during the time-frame if she needs to push the issue.
  6. Most of what I'm for would take too long to implement in 7 months. So little things I think would be doable with the current team in 7 months: - Letters from all of our companions, or at the very lest, letters from potential love interests. - Put all Cartel Market items back on the market until the end of the year. - Give more species access to the new hair styles. Every species that can have hair should have access to all of the hair styles. - Restore the conquest points and objectives that got reduced or removed, and return xp to conquest rewards. Return harvesting node rewards too. Conquest right now is a boring, non-rewarding slog, especially for non-max characters. Things that should be doable, but would probably take more time (new content is a given): - Make solo options for the flashpoints that don't have them, and for uprisings. -Refresh the rewards for all of the older events and reputation tracks. Don't remove old rewards though, just add some new ones. - New character creation options. We need everything from new skin colors to new face structures. A full revamp would be better, but I think beyond what the current programmers are capable of. - New companion customizations for all companions. Ones that are noticeably different from what we already have. The GS2 customizations are so similar to the original, there is no point. And give the remaining companions that have standard bodies but don't have gear slots gear slots. The excuse for why they don't already have gear slots is absolutely BS. - Strongholds need attention. More layouts with overlapping hook sizes. Add rooms to older strongholds (looking at you underwater Manaan!) Decoration scaling. Increase movement range. Add z-axis. Full room carpets & wall coverings. Ambient sound machines default on. Toggle for holo/non-holo mode for companion decorations. - Upgrade weapons in outfit designer so each outfit can have different weapons depending on loadout. - Hood toggle! (To be clear, I want them gone, not hood down!) - Revamp the dye system so primary and secondary can be dyed separately and add a tertiary dye slot. - New tier for crafting, and don't make it dependent on NiM raids and Ranked PvP. Add a lot of new craftable decorations and cosmetic items. (Stop making crafting worse with each iteration!) - Enough content with Theron Shan to put him back on par with Lana. His role should NEVER have been drastically reduced if hers wasn't as well. The players shouldn't have to suffer for bad writing decisions.
  7. I have 59 alts and haven't bothered with adding a second combat style yet. If they come out with new combat styles, I'll make more. Replaying vanilla story is the best part of the game.
  8. Me too! I kept melting and my low level character had no cc or dc's to help.
  9. I was on the fence about resubbing anyway. You just gave me the final nudge. I've started doing GS on other servers, but leveling to 50 to qualify for the reputation hand in objective is slow going as preferred.
  10. Well now I feel like a doofus. The forums only showed me the first two replies, so I hunted down your girdle and re-subed so I could tell you the results. Then I saw the newer comments when I came back to post The girdle you used is a reskin of the Ardent Warrior, not actually part of the Ardent Warrior set. It is a world drop for lvl 75. To be specific, it the the heavy, force style of armor. For the past few expansions (not this one, this one has no world drop armor) world drop armor had generic names. For the heavy style armor the belt is just called "girdle". The "unidentified" portion is just the way outfit stamps treat modifier names. Since there are no stats on outfit stamps, modifier names are useless, so they simplified things by calling it "unidentified". In other words, your girdle really is just called "girdle". I am not surprised that CS didn't know what to tell you, not many people understand recent world drop naming conventions.
  11. Well Steve, it's only taken over half a year, but people are finally seeing your point.
  12. There are several problems with this. One is that the newer story flashpoints are grindy bores. They are too long and the story inside them isn't engaging enough to compensate. I group the Ilum flashpoints in that category. Too long and not enough interesting story. Two is that once you've done the newer flashpoints for the story, the story isn't repeatable, only the endless trash killing. So the "story mode" version has no actual story. (I think that started with Umbara) Three is that most of the newer flashpoints don't have interesting environments. Nathema has a couple of interesting spots. That's about it. They are pretty generic. There are too few cool nooks and crannies to explore. I would love, love, love it if Kaon and LI had story modes! The best flashpoint experiences I had was back in the day when you could over-level them and explore the spooky environments on your own! I really wish they'd release story versions of all of the old flashpoints. Four is that everyone likes to get at least some rewards for their time spent. Over the past few years, Bioware has been systematically removing any and every reward for repeating story flashpoints. If they take anything else away, we might as well just save some time and watch the cutscenes on Youtube.
  13. That is because the vast majority of people know that all content that isn't pvp is pve and don't try to use the term pve when they mean raiders. So no, no one is blaming solo and small group players for the current gearing system, but the raiders who constantly whined about non-raiders having access to good gear and who were too weak to resist HS farming might well bear at least some of the blame.
  14. They are only fixing a small fraction of what is wrong with 7.0. While I appreciate what they are fixing, they have a long, long way to go. With the fixes they are planning, the proof will be in the pudding. Bioware often says they are going to fix something, either for it to end up a partial fix, remain completely broken, or break something else in the process.
  15. I want to know why my points are so much lower than his. I have a fully maxed out stronghold bonus, but I get 15k a day less on those two objectives. Is there something else that boosts conquest points that aren't in the guides I've read? That extra 15k a day would really help speed things up! "Increasing a reputation grants 49k Leveling a companion grants 27k ish" I get Less than 44k for increasing reputation, that's a 5k difference. (Sadly a character has to be 50+ for this to show up, so the other servers I started characters on for conquest don't get this.) Companion influencer gives me less that 17k, and higher level characters don't seem to get the piddly little companion benefactor. So that's another 10k less that I am getting.
  16. Since the only Old Republic keyboard on ebay is listing at 900 dollars, I think I'll try the manual way. Thanks for the input. I think this issue it too important to not test thoroughly!
  17. I'm hoping more gear from different sources end up in collections and account unlockable! When I am designing an outfit, having everything in one place would be priceless. I rarely hunt through my alts for outfits that are being muled, or run to different vendors on the off chance a piece there would be just the right one, so even though there is a lot of cool stuff out there, I rarely make use of it.
  18. I'm going to add one too! 10. Raise the limit on all decorations to be at the very minimum the same number as the maximum number of strongholds we can have. I see no reason why some flashpoint drops are one per legacy. Why can't I have a Vinn Atrius in every stronghold? I have zero motivation to ever run Crisis on Umbara ever again since I have one of each deco.
  19. I did read your post. I am trying to sort out exactly what is being effected on live so I can work out a solid strategy for testing it on the PTS when the next iteration is uploaded. Being able to compare live to PTS can be invaluable. Clearly I am not the only one confused by exactly what is part of the base and what is part of the bonus. Thanks to Real_Dark_Lord and DWho I have a clearer idea what to look for. It does not sound like tracking presence will be able to show if the bugs have been fixed, since the character screen number is accurate, but the bugs are in how the stats are applied. How can we, as player-testers, test companions accurately once the fix is loaded onto the pts since it is not a simple matter of double checking the presence score? I would like to contribute more to the testing than saying if I "feel" like they are performing where they should. I have never done any parsing. Is there something like Star Parse that will give me performance numbers for companions or are they just for players?
  20. Damn it! I thought what I wanted most was a little ski chalet on Hoth, but now I really want an underground volcano lair. I would settle for a few more underwater rooms added to Manaan. Ones with big windows and lots of fish.
  21. People seem to be missing the point here. The OP is not saying "don't let raiders have exclusive access to BiS gear", they are saying, "let raiders have the best gear, but make it adaptable so it is only the best in the content that needs it to be." It's a win/win. The raiders get the gear that they need for their clears, but they don't get a stat advantage over other types of content's gear. BiS raid gear would become identical to BiS pvp gear in pvp matches. BiS raid gear and pvp gear would become identical to BiS story gear in open world and story content (that would include lvl 80 areas that don't have level sync).
  22. This is why I'm baffled about why they left the huge tech fragment cost for Kai Zykken's random box of cosmetic gear instead of converting it into a credit sink. Ditto the Command Crate cosmetic sets. Why the huge tech fragment cost, when it's credit inflation we are having trouble with? I have billions to throw at cosmetic vendors, but I don't have the tech fragments that would allow me to do that throwing, so my credits just keep piling up.
  23. If feels to me like they vastly over-estimated what they were capable of accomplishing in one patch. They decided to change just about everything in major ways when they have known, for a fact, that every little change causes a ripple effect and can break numerous seemingly unrelated things. That just isn't smart planning. A team that hasn't been able to add new colors to Twi'leks because the database for those colors wasn't flexible had no business trying to totally revamp numerous core systems at once.
  24. Is SWtOR worth playing? For me yes, but less of it than before. I still enjoy playing through the older stories, and I still enjoy collecting gear. I don't understand the reason they trashed all of the rewards for everything. It just killed my motivation to do anything outside of the stories now. Have they made the game better? No. To borrow from Moon Knight, poorly implemented qol changes (loadouts, combat styles and future weapon in outfit designer) does not tip the scales to positive. Even if you take all of the bugs out of the equation, there are just too many horrible changes on the negative side. Are we getting value for our money? Absolutely not and that is why my sub runs out shortly. I'll pay for another month when I feel like there is significant new content and a genuine tempering of the hostile changes. (Well, I might sub for a month if I need to change up which alts I have access to.)
