  1. Every character I've used the early buttons with got to re-recruit Ranos after finishing FE chapter 9 (BEFORE getting Yuun, I'd like to add) and Vizla after 14. That's not universal?
  2. Query: you don't need every achievement to be on the same Legacy for each reward tier, do you?
  3. Does copious amounts of coffee count? 'Cause that's pretty much my default.
  4. 10-22-08, so the 10198 isn't much of a surprise. I wouldn't really describe myself as "active," though. Also, you get to see your avatar and by extension your join order when you preview. Saved me the trouble of guessing.
  5. What motivation would I have to read terrible fanfic about lame characters?
  6. Boba Fett sucked, too. Things that make BHs not like him are to be encouraged.
  7. The point of spending thousands of credits to level up a profession was to make items available to you at commendation-or-better quality as you level, granting you more flexibility with your commendation purchases. There. You've been corrected.
  8. Sure am. And, outside of the 6-figure expenditures and the sheer number of skills you get to top off at 50, I didn't want for credits. Look: commendations have ruined the economy, because they're replaced the economy. Since there's a replacement for the economy, the game isn't dependent on its health. Crafting is not the economy. Crafting is not for the economy. Plan accordingly.
  9. Crafting is hurt by the absence of suitable end-game recipes. This is an actual problem as it completely strips crafting of any actual use past a certain point. Crafting profit is hurt by the existence of readily available commendation gear. This is completely irrelevant because you're self-sufficient.
  10. That how not needing an economy works. Get you some pertinent knowledge. Which needs to change; I've never said otherwise. That, however, is a separate issue.
  11. Market irrelevance=abandoning crafting for profit=pricing intended to offset=lower prices still. You're talking crafting for profit. You're also assuming profit is its purpose.
  12. No it isn't. In the absence of a market, self-sufficient players will continue to be self-sufficient.
  13. I have, and it does. Maxing it lightwise clears it up; I don't see why it wouldn't do the same for dark.
  14. Commendations>credits. Work on getting those. Problem solved.
  15. "I'm self-sufficient; this is an outrage?" I no longer understand people.
  16. What if they don't want any sort of economy in TOR remotely?
  17. You could try missions. I find that the trash mob farming is far less tedious when I get to pretend there's an underlying purpose. And I got a strong "angry" tone from you prior posts, hence the stress comment. It's easily something I can be wrong about.
  18. Skipping a crafting skill is a good idea. The finished product market is really hamstrung by the whole "commendations render the finished product market largely superfluous" thing. Gathering skill that nets coin/mission skill that nets coin/mission skill that feeds the most crafters looks like a solid line-up to me, theme-wise. If Slicing turns out to be a bust, I'd swap it for Bioanalysis. The consumables market is where you'd expect the highest demand for raw materials to be.
  19. My suggestion: Go all "LOL credits" and start treating them as stuff that's really only good for gettin' skills and occasionally bankrolling your crew skills. You don't need stress from a game.
  20. Crafted items have a minimum difficulty. You get you skill high enough over it, you don't get improvement by making it anymore. Find an Artifice trainer; he should have new and better recipes for you. The light side thing is likely just terrible luck on your part. I'd suggest selling the material on the Nar Shadaaa trade network, you're more likely to find lightside buyers there. Nar Shadaa also has crew skill vendors, so you'll be able to take care of the other problem, too.
  21. Given the multiple ways crafting profitability is hindered (the BoP thing you're unhappy with, commendation vendors, etc.,) why do you believe crafting is intended to be a profitable endeavor? I could tell you the BoP thing is a mistake, but I wouldn't be sincere when I did.
  22. Given that I believe commendations are supposed to have the teeth-gnashingly detrimental effect on the player economy they have, I'm going to go with "b" on that one.
  23. The epic stim is a level 48 item that requires a lot of time and credits. The Rataka stim is a level 50 item that requires a lot of time, credits, and having run a Hard Flashpoint or Operation. The one that requires a higher level and more steps to obtain is clearly better. Does that make sense?
  24. I have a better fix. 1.) Drop the quality of the daily rewards from prototype to advanced. Commendations for good gear is fine; commendation for best gear is not. 2.) Make level 23 mod recipes available for crafting, along with unslotted weapon/armor equivalents; the prototype versions of these can have a minimum crafting requirement. General crafting should be on par or better than what you can get with commendations, not unambiguously worse. 3.) Rataka-type clearly-better-than-ANYTHING-else-you-can-get BoP gear recipes for everyone. This one is key. Raiding and crafting needs to be better than either separately. You did both; it needs to show. This way puts crafting in a place on the depth chart that reflects the time and effort involved, which is what it really really needs.
  25. Thanks. Alls I could offer was testimony.
