  1. I notice it mostly in FPs. Running level 45 FPs with 86 gear score mods in the saber and comparing it to the stuff that's dropping, I'm doing almost nothing to enemies damage wise.
  2. Why is this not a thing yet? You expect players to pay out the *** to have cool looking weapons, but you can't feasibly use them as you level up, because they need mods to have any stats. Then, flashpoints don't even drop items with mods that you can switch out onto the market weapons. The GTN prices for mods are RIDICULOUS if you can even find any at the appropriate level. So if you want to use the weapons you paid real money for, you either have to grind crafting, grind credits or use the absolutely crap mods from vendors. How does this make sense to anyone? Plenty of other games have cosmetic weapon slots. I don't understand why this game does not after all this time.
  3. Maybe it's too late for this kind of thing but I would greatly appreciate an option that increases the area around me that the game loads assets. It's really annoying riding a speeder down the road at 60 fps, yet the game is stuttering and chugging because it can't load assets fast enough. I know that is the issue because it only exhibits this behavior the first time I go through an area. Whenever I go back to that area, it does not stutter and will only start again if I leave that planet for a while, a day or two IRL time. So having the game load stuff farther ahead of me would mean I'm not outrunning the games loading speed on my speeder. I have the game on an SSD btw.
  4. I just came back after a few years and I was pleasantly surprised with how fast I got sucked back in. I used a 60 day time card so I am currently premium. However that is my one main gripe, I understand having to limit non subscribers but some of the limitations are very heavy handed and make the game so much more of a slog. From every MMO I played that did not start with MTXs then adopted them later, SWTOR is still the only game doing it as close to "right" as it can be. I really like what they did with class and planet story arcs. That is by far the best part of this game and not having to go a day or two between class cutscenes because you're running fetch quests all day does a lot to make things feel more cohesive.
  5. I have always loved pole sabers, but I don't like the double bladed classes. I propose you make a default set of animations and either make different types, main hand, off hand, double bladed or maybe a cosmetic weapon slot. As long ats the abilities do the same damage it doesn't really make a difference if the animations sync up. At least for me. Edit: I realized pole saber was the wrong word. I meant Light sbaer pikes
  6. I think it's kind pretty funny how I didn't have to edit that. I just layed the track over the video and it's almost like it was meant to be. There's a few parts where the actions almost sync with the music, it has to be one of my greatest creations lol.
  7. I went ahead and did everyone a favor. It seems to be the talk of Zakuul and everyone was mentioning the song. So here you go!
  8. Is the game running like garbage for anyone else? I have run the game without issue this whole time but the last week, I can't even play. If I stand still game is 100% smooth, but the second I try to walk it's a slide show, no matter where, or what is going on. Is anyoen else having problems?
  9. Well some of us know from experience that in game stores 99% of the time DO NOT STAY as "fluff items" Nobody is complaining about fluff. People are concerned about items that give an in game advantage, and they should be because that is total ******** to buy your way through the game, and I for one want nothing to do with any player who can't do the same hard work I have to do in order to advance, it's as simple as that. I hope they do add new haircuts and cosmetic clothing, the game needs it, but the second I see an XP booster or a medpack on that store, that's it as far as I am concerned, sub cancelled. Nobody has to agree with me, I'm just trying to relay to you people what I know through experience, that these in game stores are NEVER EVER EVER a GOOD thing for the game. Maybe for the company yes, but for the core gameplay no
  10. No. In game money = better for the game than real money Real Money = In game economy crash When you buy off the GTN you are giving the guy you bought off of more money to harvest more resources to put on the GTN for other people. Thus setting up a sustaining and repeating cycle When it's done with real money nobody wins besides Bioware. Thus leading to a dead stop in GTN prices and supply
  11. Because that's an IN GAME economy. It's different than just saying "Oh screw work, I'm just gonna pay my way to glory with real money and contribute in no way to the economy of the game" Also, I don't see anyone complaining about cosmetic items. That is all well and fine, but it seems many of us know from experience that it will not be the case when they get the store going that all they're gonna have is hair cuts and armor paint.
  12. I'm not trying to argue, but having played LOTRO for at least a year and a half before they added the turbine store, I can say without a shred of doubt that it ruined the game. At least on the server I was on. The economy crashed, you had people leveling from 1 to 65 in a WEEK. A flipping WEEK. If that isn't completely ridiculous I don't know what is. I will say if they never added anything besides cosmetic items (which is what it did start as) much of the damage would not have been done. However when they started adding craft materials, mounts, actual good gear, potions, food, and bassicly every item that you had to WORK to get it just completely destroyed the game. I'm not saying that SWTOR will 100% follow that model, but as I said, I have seen the exact same scenario unfold in 3 MMOs that all said the exact same thing.
  13. I'll put money down, that within a month of any real money store being implimented in SWTOR, it will be selling all manner of black core color crystals and high level item mods, along with all kinds of xp boosts, medpacks, mounts, and items that you currently have to work your balls off to get. I've seen it happen in at least 3 MMO's "Oh hey guys we're adding a real money store, BUT DON'T WORRY! We're not gonna have any items that will affect gameplay" and every time it was a broad faced lie
  14. Because it's stupid to be able to just buy your way through the game. Plus it destroys any semblance of an in game economy. People said all the exact same things about LOTRO. Now LOTRO is in the toilet because of greedy executives that probably have no idea what the game is.
