Too bad he isn't here to defend himself, it seems. It's a shame, really. As much as I disagreed with the guy, he was always trying. *sigh*
  2. I would like to see this as a variation/improvement of the Ancient Hypergates WZ, and have it as a WZ. I'm here because of the sarlacc relevance.
  3. ....Much better then the other suggestion. This one has logic behind it. /signed
  4. This, my friends, is the beginning of the "flattening out of PvP skills" I had read a Dev talk about. Get used to it. I just hope they don't go full on "cosmetic gear is leetz" route...
  5. "need help someone lfet" "Someone go left!" "No I ned hlep right" "Soo... you need help on the....right?" "Yea some1 left" /explode
  6. To be fair, this doesn't sound like a "mini-game," but more like a new wz.... but even that's being generous. That truly sounds like a complete overhaul of the current PvP system, warranting it's own season system. Considering how long it's taken BW to get "this far" with PvP as it is, I don't have high hopes for your suggestion (which I don't really understand).
  7. In addition to the pazaak I so dearly want: Things that have weekly/monthly/yearly/all-time High Score lists: -A planet-themed shooting range for the ranged classes.(duh, it's easy to script. The fact that you put a Star Fox clone into this game proves that BW wouldn't be "below this") -A hutt obstacle course OF DOOM (Unbeatable Banzuke/Ninja Warrior/Viking Challenge, anyone?) -Swoop Races -Area-of-Effect(AOE)-A-Mole
  8. No, buzzards and vultures are not the same thing.
  9. ...fair enough, but one cannot deny the fact that the buzzards and vultures were flying around this one waiting.... ...are vultures and buzzards the same thing?*googletime*
  10. I don't see EA playing well with Actiblizz. However, I believe my initial point still stands. Bioware would not have to ask Nintendo for licensing rights. That was my main issue with the post. However, I will concede that you have made a valid point. Here's a Gold Star:                         * You can put it on your Forum "About me," if you want, or even put it in your signature. ...Sarcasm aside (sorry), I really hope that that particular precedent wouldn't interfere with implementing this feature. I think that the fact that Road Rash is a third person violent biker game, while Deathtrack is first person from the car drivers' POV violent driving game makes the two different enough that they don't have to even talk to each other, though. Here's to hoping....
  11. (NOTE: I haven't read though ALL of the posts.Sorry if I have taken your idea, and have not given you credit. Let me know if this is the case, and I will give you a high-five for thinking of awesome things) What I would propose is a six camera system with five stationary cameras, and one following the ball: 3 center cameras- One bird's eye view camera (above the ball spawn point) One stage left of mid-court One stage right of mid-court One at the Rotworms Endzone One at the Frogdogs Endzone. don't forget the camera that is following the ball ...and of course, a toggle to choose between the 6. Rather than 16 mobile individual cameras to track, this six camera system streamlines the viewing experience for the viewers, while keeping the bandwidth interference low. It would have the added benefit of needing less work to implement. If the outlined method was given to us for the mythical "First Season of PvP," I imagine participation (on both sides) would skyrocket. With all of that being said, the ability to toggle between players' POVs would be nice, but I could wait until the "Second Season of PvP(lol)" for that. ...Those are my latest thoughts on the matter. EDIT: I did read one suggestion that I forgot to mention: dropping into the WZ as a un-targetable non-entity, able to click on players and check out their stats and what-not. I like the idea, but that sounds more like a "Season 2(lol)" idea.
  12. Road Rash, owned by Electronic Arts takes the precedent. I really hope you just "kinda forgot" about it, because it was the better game of the two, IMO. Too bad EA killed that franchise, too
  13. Glorthox, you've been here since the beginning, you should know bet.... ...oh. Bad necro is bad
  14. HEY, OP: There are RP servers where you can dance to your heart's content! Also, what you are proposing is a huge change to the game mechanics as they stand, essentially a "RESET" button. SW:TOR players, whether they want this feature or not (I don't), would likely have to wait at least a year for something like this to happen. Also, I took your bait. But I won't say the phrase you want me to say, because "that game" does actually exist as a revived zombie, and I don't want to send players that way.
  15. ...so, how does EA spin this so shareholders won't feel like this game isn't another failed attempt at a perpetual machine? I have a very hard time reconciling the ideals presented (as beautiful as they are) with reality (as harsh as it is).
  16. No, that would be your comment. I feel that this is one of the rare truly unbiased PVP inquiries. This is a legitimate question that doesn't need to be answered, but it would be nice to know.
  17. I agree. Practicality wins out over immersion in this case, I hope.
  18. Merry CHristmas... I thought you already had a thread for this?
  19. You guys are all far too charitable, or far too gullible. Merry Christmas, all.
  20. hey! I have an idea, create a thread outlining your situation, and aggressively shoot down any ideas offered to you! GOLD.
  21. *Welcome to the game and community- these things you are describing have been happening for months, and it is representative of a living, evolving economy. It won't change. And no, I don't have millions of credits, for I am poor in game, despite having 3 chars. I do not advocate any changes to the market. We just have to pull up the bootstraps and MAKE THAT MONEY, because, here in SWTOR, much like real life, money don't come from nowhere. *I only assume you are new, but if I am wrong, I apologize.
