  1. +1 for all of the info. Thanks much for digging for all of that. And now, I'm sad...
  2. Not sure if this was even the slightest bit serious, but if so a url to anything confirming that one is on the way (soon or not) would be appreciated. I just worry that we're all under some illusion/hope that a new op is on the horizon, when there isn't one.
  3. In one of their developer posts prior to KOTFE launch, BW stated "We know that many players love our Operations and look forward to the introduction of new challenges, however with Knights of the Fallen Empire there will not be any new Operations." Obviously, at launch this was true, but does anyone know if this is true for the entire expansion? There are a couple of folks on my raid team who seem to think that a new operation is on the way, or was at least hinted at, but I haven't been able to find anything on that. Does anyone know of anything?
  4. I'm a recently returning member who's maining a sniper for the first time. My question is this - aside from pre-casting it in your opener, is it ever worth using orbital strike, or is suppressive fire spam better for aoe? Our ops team is working on torque HM, and of course I'm on turret duty. I feel that sniper volley + suppressive fire is doing really well in hitting 3 turrets plus the boss, but wondered if using an orbital strike in there as well would be a gain or loss. Thanks in advance for the help.
  5. I've recently returned to the game and am looking for a solid operations team for the end of this expansion and into the new one. Ideally, I'd like to find a team of (mostly) mature players that runs 2/week, with one of those days on Fri/Sat/Sun. As for me, I joined SWTOR at launch, founded a guild and put together an ops team. I led the team and we were fairly successful in Eternity Vault (Soa bugs and all), Karagga's Palace, Explosive Conflict, and Terror from Beyond. I left shortly after we completed TFB. I've yet to run any of the operations from either the Cartel or Revan xpacs. I currently have a MM sniper and a Darkness sorc at level 60. I prefer the sniper over the sorc, but can heal if needed. Both are in mostly 190 gear with a few 192's. Sniper is a little better geared. I have level 50s of most advanced classes, and will be leveling them up as well. While my gear and current ops experience may be lacking, I consider myself a skilled player and think I'd be a helpful addition to just about any operations team. I've led successful operations/raid teams in SWTOR and WoW for several years now, and while I'm not interested in leading this time around, I think that demonstrates what to expect from me. I come prepared, know my class(es), know the fights, and follow mechanics well. If interested, please respond to this post or message me in-game. All of my toon names start with "pain", so if you see one, it's likely me. Here are the toons I've been playing recently. painmaster - 60 sorc painmuffin - 60 sniper paindora - 55 merc -pain
  6. It's still the same - you're doing the math wrong. To see how much damage a point of power or main stat adds, you divide the bonus damage by the power or main stat. What you did was divide the main stat or power by the bonus damage, which tells you how much of that stat will give you 1 point of bonus damage. For example, I have 2178 aim , which contributes 435.6 damage 876 power., which contributes 201.5 damage The way you did it, 2178 aim / 435.6 bonus dmg = 5 (5 points of aim = 1 point of bonus damage) 876 power / 201.5 bonus dmg = 4.34 (4.34 points of power = 1 point of bonus damage) The way you need to do it to see how much each stat contributes to damage: 435.6 bonus dmg / 2178 aim = .2 (1 point of aim = .2 point of bonus damage) 201.5 bonus dmg / 876 power = .23 (1 point of power = .23 point of bonus damage) Easy mistake. Have fun. -pain
  7. I hardly think I was being belligerent. I was replying to a post that said something to the effect that we should all *know* when the JC guilds used to run NmP, and it obviously upset me a bit. My reply was perhaps a bit of a poke, but a far cry from belligerent. That said, I agree with the posts above that say we just need to work together, and play nice. I don't want to rock the boat at all after all... You and me. We're in this together now. Nothing's gonna stop us now. We can make it through somehow. Have fun. -ninfan
  8. Wrong-o. There are a lot of servers that just got merged, so none of us know when anyone runs this thing, unless you were on the same server. And if you think you rate higher if you were already on JC, then wrong again. This is a brand new server that happens to have the same name as the old one, so we've all been on this server the exact same amount of time. That said, I don't really care if there's a schedule or not. I just wanted to reply to this rather narrow-minded and unhelpful post.
  9. This last post got me thinking - why would we limit ourselves to just one other guild? What if that guild is busy the night we want to run, or what if NmP is down when we agreed to join up and try it, so we have to do it on an off-night? So, instead of trying to join up with one other specific guild, I'm thinking we could create a new channel on JC, and use it to try to find 8m guild partners for 16m content. We could call it /8LF16 or something like that. What I DON'T want this channel to be used for is for guild recruitment or for pugs trying to find NmP groups. That's what /1 is for. I'd like this to be used only for 8m guilds that want to group up with another guild for a night to do 16m content. This sound like a legit idea? If so, I'll go ahead and create the channel tonight, and we can see how it goes. -pain
  10. Thanks for the responses folks. I logged in last night, and none of my toon names needed to change, so i'll list them here. You'll notice a common theme... From the replies I've seen, it looks like LEGION is the best fit for what I'm looking for. I don't want to merge guilds or anything like that - I just want to be able to run some of the 16m content without having to pug half of it. When 1.4 drops, they're reducing the NmP re-spawn timer from 2 hours to 30 minutes. With all of the additional folks on JC now, I'm thinking we'll wait until then to try to put it together. I'll reach out to you guys in LEGION and we can try to work out a night that works well for both of us. My imp toon names are below. In short, if you see someone with a name that starts with "pain", chances are it's me. paindora (50 merc dps) painmaster (50 sorc healer) painkillah (50 op dps) painpanzer (50 jugg tank) painmuffin (45 sniper dps) painapalooza (21 mara dps) -pain
  11. Greetings new server! My guild <Darklight> from Canderous Ordo is on the Imperial-side, and we're 4/4 Denova EC HM. We're a relatively small, tight-knit and laid back guild. I want to keep our operations team as 8 members, but would like to try to find a "partner" guild on JC so we can run some 16m content. Most notably, I'd like us to be able to do Nightmare Pilgrim, but maybe some 16m ops would be fun as well. I don't mind pugging for a few spots, but not half of a 16m operation. So, I'd rather find another small guild on the server that's in the same boat as us.and would like to collaborate on some larger operations. Preferably one that has some decent gear and progression, but that's not absolutely necessary. If you're a GM or officer of a guild that's interested, please reply to this thread with your toon name, and I'll look for you in-game. I have yet to log in, so i'm not sure if my names are being changed or not. I'll update this thread with my main's name once I confirm it.
  12. Isn't that a different issue? There was a login issue, which Amber is addressing, but then the lag spike/mail not working issue that has plagued CO for a few weeks, and appears to be affecting some other servers now (as well as still affecting CO). Maybe they're related, but they seem to be different issues.
  13. You're right. It's a German server. Never heard of that one, so I didn't even notice. My apologies for my over-excitement. At this point, any hint of anything new to do is causing me to FTFO.
