  1. Nice word twisting. In a nutshell, I think what he is saying is: A. Other classes can do what mara/sent does, but better, as in even non pure DPS classes (other then group buff ofc). and B. Mara/sent is shut down by CC way more then any other class, the problem is not just mara/sent but the fact CC can be thrown around at a whim instead of tactically (and the resolve system doesnt help). Who cares if you can kill someone in 4s when the stars align and when you are NOT CCed/ the opponent doesnt use a DCD / Egress etc etc etc. If that 4s kill happens 5% of the time you engage a target you can't balance off stars align and beyond scenarios and it shows Mara/sent needs a fix in this regard and you also can't let the trolls fool you, they try to derail mara/sent related, you know the ones that will claim they can 100-0 any class all the time in 3-4s, yet cannot provide video evidence.... even though its "all the time". best thing is to just put them on ignore and move on.
  2. no the problem is healing being too powerful (mainly while guarded) is a big topic right now. I would love to see Sorc/Sage heals get a buff in multiple departments but I don't think its feasible balance wise until scouperative heals are nerfed, and so is guard or there are more hard counters added for both.
  3. Just as people say " blah blah L2P get better at DPS" Well same can be said right back at you: If as a healer, you don't feel like your survival is over the top, then you need to L2P. See how that works?

Maybe the following= Stagger renamed to Blademaster's Resolve: While in Ataru form, Force leap has a [50/100]% chance to grant Blademaster's Resolve which grants immunity to knockback and sleep effects for [1/2]s Addition to Contemplation: Reduces the cooldown of Awe by [7.5 / 15] seconds. In addition, you build up to [15 / 30] Centering over the course of using Introspection. This effect cannot occur more than once every 30 seconds. Whenever you have 30 centering your force stasis no longer needs to be channeled, applying it's full effect over 3s.

  6. You get more deeps and run the risk of running DPS gear being too good or hybrid too good. People should be able to steamroll in a sense. A Tank and healer should only be there to temporarily prolong the fight (in PVP) with varied tactics otherwise. However, it SHOULD be viable to be full blown tank (spec and gear) in pvp, but the guarding a target should be a lot more detrimental to the tank itself. Taunts in PVP should also be a tactical choice and not something to spam. Hard part is finding a middle ground.
  7. tank healer combo is just too good. You won't see anything buffed tank related until you see healing and guard nerfs, or harder counters to healing and/or guard. (like making crippling throw do 60% healing debuff) or a debuff that causes damage everytime an ability is casted.. or something that backlashes a tank if they are guarding your target.

  9. Main problem is Scouperatives. It is already a blatantly stupid game design to make a stealth class able to spec tank, but healer? really? Stealth + the set bonus + HoTs + major escape tools + etc ...... Healers and more-so healer+tank will also be a balance issue until they institute harder counters Like if Cripp throw did 60% healing debuff, or if there was an ability that if used on a guarded target the tank doing the guarding took X extra damage or was CCed
  10. Combat/Carnage just needs some version of unstoppable even if its just knockback and sleep protection for a few seconds on leap and nothing else. Focus/Rage seems to be in a good spot, but I never really played it for more then a game here and there even when it was the big thing. Anni/Watchmen well..... doesn't really need *uncleanseable* Dots, what it really needs is something more creative/intuitive, like a talent that does damage to the target instantly for each DoT cleansed. Like "Cleansed Backlash" Each time one of your damage over time effects are cleansed the target who was cleansed receives *Cleansed backlash* for X seconds, causing X amount of damage to them every time they cast an ability. or Each time one of your Damage over time effects is cleansed, the cleanser and the target cleansed each take X damage instantly and have all healing received reduced by X % for X seconds As for the class as a whole. Undying Rage/GBTF needs a rework or have the health taken as soon as you pop it and give it some sort of CC break on use.

  12. are you asking for 8 man ranked back? just checking Also, people can give a nice little book about how they only premade to play with their guildies/friends whatever. The chances of you playing against another premade are so slim, and everyone knows this, therefore premades are queing for an easy win (at least the larger ones are) and not a challenge. Ofc...this would be solved if Solo que in regs as well was Solo ONLY (So group would be group ONLY, forcing premades to fight premades)
  13. Where did it say removing an ability from the rotation? Sure it won't be as important but you adding one. You also seem to forgot this special ability called reading comprehension. My changes makes it so forcequake is no longer channeled, so you drop it on location and it is doing its whole duration and damage while you are free to cast other abilities during such. Assuming proc has popped, that is basically FREE damage. Forcequake *should* be worked back into importance for TK
  14. 16v16 would be cool... I think a more fluid transition of warzones is more important (Xserver ques being most important) What I mean by this is...... say you que for regs... you get into a Warzone... the warzone finishes... your team and the enemy team is automatically loaded into a new warzone. This could even be an option you check when you que so you are not forced into it, even though there is nothing stopping you from leaving and the team getting a new/backfill player. If anything it would be a band aid fix till xserver ques / server merges happen (or the game is taken down whatever comes first) As far as 16v16. You could take the fluid design like above but make it more real time. Have a large warzone, large enough that when you spawn you will want to take a speeder to the most *front line* outpost. The ground teams would be 10 v 10. Then have a whole Z-axis to the warzone where the other 6v6 takes place in the sky in a GSF fight. The ground portion would have 3 Flak cannons closer to each teams spawn point that would be uncappable. then 3 more in the middle that would be cappable. The uncappable flak cannons would be automated, and the cappable ones would require a single player to man. These flak cannons would do damage and possibly kill any GSF flying too low. The GSF portion of the fight would be TDM, and the GSFs couldn't harm players but can damage and destroy the flak cannons. If a flak cannon is destroyed the point becomes neutral. Goal of the warzone is basically TDM. Reach X amount of kills to win
  15. While I have RANDLE blocked because he is a known troll, what you just said is the most narrow minded crap to ever set foot on a thread. Your philosophy of being able to *eventually* climb the ranks is already made moot by the fact the matchmaking system is broken, not to mention the game throwers, que syncers, win traders and undergeared players. I have no doubt in this season, there is more of a likelihood that a top 10% player ( skill level) is in the < 1300 rating bracket then in the 2k / + bracket.......

I think it would a better idea then the current PTS changes to just give balance *Psychic Projection* in a high tier, and give TK talent that effects Forcequake again, except just make this one give you a proc that makes Forcequake no longer required to be channeled. SO under the right circumstances you could get the proc, place forcequake and it does its 6s while you can continue casting other abilities. Like the Force Grip talent on Juggs.

    Yea..... no, The first part where you mentioned pressure, the whole sentence doesn't even make sense. Scouperative healers ARE successfully keeping themselves and their group up even when the enemy team is applying pressure to the healer AND another at the same time. I also have yet to EVER see a scouperative healer get anywhere even close to low on resources on my team and off it. Any class with casting/channel abilities in the game could make the interupt argument, the difference is scouperative heals that actually have a cast time are not that long and you have the HoTs. Add that to the ability to scamper and vanish.... lol Why make comments like that on a subject of which you clearly have no experience with?

  23. First off, I can see how Mercs/Mandos can feel screwed if it is an all DPS match, however Snipers have no excuse. All I see is snipers ************ and moaning about LoS this and LoS that, as if no other ranged DPS has cast/channel abilities that require them to be stationary and suffer if they are LoSed, and I bet in most cases you have more utility more damage and more escape. Barrier is meaningless in an all DPS match, anyone who knows how to switch targets even minimally means you are insta popped right after barrier ends anyway. Mara/Sent on the other hand have a lot more trouble because there is far too much CC that can be thrown around at a whim with short cooldowns and broken resolve. Also try playing a TK sage in ranked lol. I think with obvious class and CC balance issues aside, The whole idea of Ranked giving ranked comms and regs not is silly to begin with. There is no reason ranked has to be given everything and the world. The rating, the challenge, and the end of season rewards should be way enough. So I say: Step 1: Add X-server ques (very easy to implement BW is just ignorant) Step 2: Remove Solo Ranked Step 3: Solo que in regs is now Solo ONLY Step 4: Let players opt out of 1 gametype when queing for regs (Ex: opt out of Arenas) Step 5: get rid of Bolster in ranked Step 6: Regs now grant Ranked comms at 1/2 the rate of Warzone comms. Step 7: Fix CC, resolve, and class balance issues Profit
