  1. Well, players will always complain even though things aren't half as bad as in other games I won't name right now... But I do see your point. The whole problem is that in order to keep the common player interested, he needs to see some kind of progression in his gear and that basically means he is going to be better geared sooner or later. And thus destroy anyone with lesser gear. The only possible solution coming to my mind right now would be to take the total gear quality average of everyone in the current WZ. And those under the average would get bolstered up to the average level. That would effectively still give the WHs some of their gear advantage and make recruits a worthy teammate as well as opponent. (the numbers might need to be tweaked, but I suppose you get the general idea)
  2. Let's ignore the part where you devote your time to playing the objectives game. It's also necessary to compare the damage vs amount of kills vs delivered killing blows (and possibly the solo kills as well to some extent). Basically what we're looking at is the 'wasted damage' factor. You may deliver a lot of damage spread over multiple targets but still fail to kill a single one of them, resulting in them simply getting healed. Then there is the kills that you participated in vs killing blows - as in who makes the actual killing really happen. Amount of solo kills can also be some measurement to how well can one deal with the enemy, but in current warzones it's kidna rare to get a clean duels, let alone more of them. As a 40+ SA I average anywhere between 75 to 200+k damage in a warzone. Really comes down to what do I focus on during that match (which has never been doing the most damage). I do howerver usually come close to 50% killing blows out of all the kills. I would dare say that doing 500k damage in a warzone barely leaves one space to do anything else apart from epeening over his own numbers...
  3. It did. Undisturbed healer will outheal your damage. If the healer just tries to keep himself alive and thus doesn't heal anybody else, it's mission accomplished.
  4. It's a little bit of both actually. If I jump him with nobody else interferring, it usually goes my way. But if he gets the first shot or for whatever reason you're unable to interrupt, you're toast very quickly. Now you can always go try and LOS or just run away, but the screenshot in the OP kinda tells you that you wouldn't really have anywhere to LOS... And if all you can do is (unsuccessfully) run away, then there's a problem. Look, the sympthoms are all there. People are rolling the class just coz it's easy-mode. Spamming the one I-win-button nets you great results even if you have no clue what's going on. And when you get that class stacked in a warzone they literally annihilate the opposition. I just can't see some changes not happening.
  5. Yes yes, of couse it would be foolish not to try to simply discredit the whole post. Your problem is that warzones do not comprise of 1v1 or guarantee even matches at all times. The whole deal is about how one tracer/grav round button-happy kid is able to light you up like a merry *********** christmas tree with ridiculous ease and speed. If spamming that one button has impacted your comprehension capabilities, it simply delivers great dps with no effort required what-so-ever. And I hope we don't need to explain the topic of how can this whole thing get stupidly magnified in Hutball
  6. I suppose everyone with brains will interrupt tracer missile. The problem with this strategy appears as soon as there's more targets to be interrupted. Facing 2 or more mercs you simply WILL die before you're able to kill even one of them regardless of the class you play (that's assuming they're not afk/comatose/lobotomized/etc). I for one can imagine quite vividly how 'fun' that match must have been indeed.
  7. The fundamental flaw in your pseudo-argument is that in PvE you have a choice of doing the easier ops first, making the gearing process a smooth and possibly enjoyble transition. In PvP you do not choose the opponents you get, meaning you are literally going to get destroyed for a long time. Any other bright ideas?
  8. There are many ways to be Sith, yet only one way to be a Jedi. On her way she already makes choices that do not go with the Jedi code. So if she's not a Jedi anymore, she is on one of the 'other' paths. Also I do not agree with the hardcore Sith community that violence, cruelty and no remorse is the only 'right' way to be a Sith. There is no such thing. You are supposed to embrace all your emotions, not just become a blind murderous egomaniac.
  9. How's your argument valid if all they gotta do is to pretty much press just 1 button?
  10. Hopefully you'll take comfort in knowing that as an SI I make it my little personal goal to go and annoy the living **** out of any grav round/tracer button happy nerd with my stuns, interrupts, mind control and the like. He's basically done DPSing with me on him > This whole strategy goes to hell as soon as there's two or more BHs/commandos though -_-
  11. Didn't read all tips, but the way I did was: - get stims that heal you and your pet - take turns with Khem on who tanks her (so u gotta manually control the taunt and switch off the tanking stance on him) - Dark Charge's Discharge worked wonderfuly on the adds That way both me and Khem ended up about ~20% hp. Point of all that is to use both your and Khem's hp pool without any of you dying. If you let him die midfight, you alone won't have enough dps to bring her down before she tears you into little ugly pieces You simply need to use Khem's HPs as much as you can while keeping him dpsing the whole time.
  12. This. Do not interrupt the full auto. Wait for the grav round spam. If you're fighting somewhere near a corner or anything you can run around of, do it. If you ain't got interrupt and you get caught in the open, well, odds are you're getting toasted. It's just how it is, deal with it. The class has otherwise poor abilities to dps with, so it's not like they have a lot of options to choose from...
  13. I don't know what are you people complaining about. Only problem is that 50 still don't have their own bracketthus expertise does not need to be on low-lvl pvp gear. It's absolutely natural that players that have been investing time into their gear have an advantage. How would you feel if a fresh 50 was on par with your pipmed character? It's normal process that you start up weak and build up your gear with time. I hope you guys don't expect to melt faces just like that. (and fyi, I do not have a single lvl 50 character yet, tya)
  14. I don't really find all this banter that relevant. As a Commando I still use half the combat-necessary keybinds I was previously used to from another game (which was around 50-60). The point is, this game is new. We're not yet used to all the new stuff. Having 50 keybind is one thing, knowing which are the ones you don't really need to have on the nicely accessible R, T or F bind is another story. With time we'll all find out that some abilities' usefuless is limited, thus [sarcasm] CTRL+P keybind shall fit them nicely [/sarcasm]. Also some abilites tend to replace another as they do the same function, just in a better way. All in all I find it actually pretty balanced. It doesn't feel bloated, nor do I find myself having too little options of buttons to mash.
  15. I can safely say that I'd prefer to spend an hour or two in one longer instance than spend the same time repeating several instances over and over... and over... again... Given there's a limited number of instances, I'd prefer to do a different one every day as opposed to having short instances, that are all doable every day resulting in me getting nightmares after a few days of farming them all
