  1. I haven't noticed NPC's repeating themselves much on my SW, other than the alien gibberish. I find it far more jarring when the gibberish speaker spits out a handful of syllables, and I'm assaulted by a wall of quest text. Sometimes I think they do it intentionally.
  2. At light V we should be able to come back as a ghost after dying, to advise our apprentice to "trust his feelings".
  3. Or a clicky item that makes you yell for a full half hour, then turns you blonde.
  4. Emergency fleet pass> free shuttle to newbie zone> 10 minutes slaughtering mobs> ???> Profit!
  5. If you really want something, a number of the animated emotes will loop until you move. /gloat for instance. Nothing that kicks in automatically though. In my experience all we usually get from auto file animations is a yawn, stretch, look around, or foot tap.
  6. Force users will occasionally twirl their sabers, if drawn.
  7. Caveat emptor. Bioware provides exactly what is advertised by what I read. The subjective value of what is provided is on the purchaser to determine. If one allowed hype to override their due diligence in researching their purchase, it is their own fault. But don't go complaining the Yugo you bought doesn't perform like a Ferrari, especially when no such claims are made by the seller, and expect me to be sympathetic.
  8. Exactly. I think those looking for a meaningful advantage should direct themselves to the f2p micro transaction fleece fests all over the interwebs.
  9. And then when internal testing shows they've somehow managed to force every UI to render in one pixel by one pixel in late March and have to go back to square one, the face the "you promised this in April!!!11!¡¡one!!" rage. It's safer to stay vague.
  10. If you're expecting answers like "Same gender romances will be implemented in patch 1.2.4.6.1.1.1 at approximately 12:45 CST Tuesday June 12, 2012." I think you're going to be sorely disappointed. Of course it's going to be a ton of "We're working on that." and "We plan to." Even if they knew precisely when something was going to be implemented, unless the answer is "as we speak" they're better of staying vague.
  11. 70 ish, by fuzzy memory. Are you saying you feel buyer's remorse? That the other included physical items aren't worth what you've spent? Purchasing a collectors edition with the sole expectation of some huge in-game advantage seems a bit silly to me in any game short of those micro transaction fleecing operations. What we get in-game with the DD and CE does a fine job of rewarding the added expense in game without making the purchases must-have, IMO.
  12. NODROP items were in at launch, there just weren't a ton of them. And virtually nothing bound to the character on use.
  13. Yep, way worse than my guild wars collectors, which came with a bound book of concept art and a music CD. And that's it. /sarcasm
  14. Yep. Blue, purple, green, or tie dye paisley on neon plaid. There's going to be some level of gear that has the mean stat budget, with grades both above and below.
  15. I remember when the only thing to differentiate item quality was whether it could be traded or not, and the actual stats of the item.
  16. Unless one is masochistic enough to snub all but orange or higher quests, the rewards are going to be less than what crafting will get you (at least until very near the level cap).
  17. There's also /mark 1-6 as a shortcut to using the right-click menus.
  18. Huh, who knew my soon-as-I-hit-the-level-to-use-them purple hilt upgrades were sub par? I certainly haven't come across any drops or quest rewards that rivaled what I was using at the time. And back OT, at 25 the 8k saved meant I got a speeder and all my class skills with my with warrior (who has slicing), instead of having to pick or choose.
  19. Yes! The hate is swelling in you now. Use it. He is unarmed. Strike him down with all your anger and your journey to the dark side will be complete. Hey, it saves about 17% of the cost of the first speeder, at a point in the game where credits can be tight. It's a much better in game perk than many collector editions include.
  20. Was the "(put your tin hats on)" in the thread title not enough clue?
  21. I'd have to agree that this game is lacking in full immersion. The deepest water I've found only comes to my character's belt.
