  1. Actually, most of the species would be on the Republic considering the Empire is anti-alien races. They can tolerate most near-human races but I don't think they'd even consider having a Mon Calamari or a Rodian in their ranks.
  2. Rodian, Mon Calamari, Trandoshan, Wookie, Sullustan, Bothan, and Nikto would be cool additions to see. I would love to see some Trandoshan Bounty Hunters or Rodian Smuggler running around. Bothan would defiantly be cool to see as well, as far as I know Bothan can speak basic too.
  3. Was there any real point t you posting then? Seriously if your just going to make unfunny comments then you can leave. Anyways, I'm appreciating the opinions you guys are posting, kind of getting me to see it from a different perspective. I agree with people saying the dialogue is immersive and interesting which it is, but how many times can you listen to the same thing over and over (referring to class quests, the dialogue rarely changes). Beyond the small issues with immersion it is a great game though as mentioned before hand the lightsaber does feel like a baseball bat that glows in the dark.
  4. Yeah but that was 1941. There wasn't any probes to map out things like we have in SWTOR. There's no way you can compare 1940s warfare to that of a technologically advanced futuristic (er, past I suppose) society. Seriously, we have Google Maps now, you'd think a society that can achieve fast than light speed would have maps of their planets.
  5. I can't be the only one who realizes the lack of immersion in this game can I? I feel like I'm not really part of the universe, just a purposeless soul doing quests to level and eventually get to an unsatisfying end, and when I get to that end I'll have very little to do. I don't feel like I'm a smuggler who's trying to secretly carry his/her goods past customs and to the dealer to get a little pocket change. I don't feel like my smuggler is undergoing and unique adventures that I can talk about with friends because almost EVERY smuggler will have the same experience (beyond the consequences for moral choices) Now, I hate to compare but take SWG for example. When you were a BH you felt like one. You hunted down Jedi,Smugglers, and all kinds of scum and you could really immerse yourself in the feeling. Same goes for the Jedi of SWG. When you saw a Jedi in that game you respected them becuase they went through a good amount of work to get their saber and hone their skills. In TOR you see a Jedi and think "Look somebody was able to mash buttons for a good 45 minutes to an hour." It just doesn't feel like an breathing Universe. It feels like your living the same live as sum hundred thousand other people. What makes my smuggler all that different? Nothing, the next smuggler after me will star on Ord Mantell and go through the same quest with the same experiences. Then after that they will go to Coruscant and go through the same quests and experiences. Finally, there's a separate issue I'd like to address: The Theme-Park style design which sort of ties into immersion. In a Theme park style game you have people living the same lives as each other. Nobody is really having a unique experience no matter how many "choices" the game gives you. You have no real incentive to go back and explore planets you've already been to (well beyond datacrons and other little bonus things). Again, I hate to compare but in Galaxies you could easily wander Tat. for hours and enjoy the wide open dunes. Maybe wander over to Jabba's palace and become an accepted member of his court. Or do something quite the opposite and join the Imperial Military and crack down on criminal scum. Or just head to the cantina and socialize. Really it all comes down to this, how long can we ride this cookie cutter theme park before we all get bored and head home? Now I'm not saying we should just change the entire game to a sandbox type (That would be a massive risk and knowing EA they'd never do it) but maybe implement some sandbox ideas so we're not all stuck on the same carnival rides for eternity. I hope I'm not the only one thinking like this. If you have an suggestions, comments, criticism, ect. feel free to post.
  6. Alright, I'm getting tired of these people wining about customer service and over dramatizing everything. Bioware is tying their best, they had a very high amount of people to attend to at the same time. The didn't expect the number of subscribers to be this massive and as such they didn't hire enough CS. Honestly, cut them a break it's not like this is the first game to ever come out with a few bugs. Sitting behind your computer and taking out your rage on a company who is doing their best at the moment will change nothing.
