If they make the pvp cross server there is basically no good reason not too allow map exclusion imo. Especially if they aren't going to bother to balance the maps.
Noone wants to answer the question. Do you want to buff certain classes combat capabilities just to make it where they overall have a 50/50% on the rated map pool?
Noone is answering the question. If we assume a magic wand is waved tomorrow that makes 8v8 for all of the classes perfectly balanced, are we willing to change that so that ranked pvp is balanced? If the answer is no, then huttball needs to be fixed.
If they have rated do you think they should balance classes based on the PVP map pool winrate? If so, are you looking forward to classes 1v1 being buffed because of this map?
I like Huttball too. It just needs a little redesign with ramps and such and it will be pretty balanced imo. Namely turning the middle ramps inward I think to reduce the jedi mobility advantage a little.
It doesn't matter what specific class requires buffs.
If they are scoring 40% win rate on huttball then the class needs balance for balanced pvp play. You are basically buffing a class cause a pvp map sucks.
The problem with not 'nerfing huttball' is that if there are ranked queues, they are going to have to unnaturally buff ops and some other classes to make up for this map imba. I'm sure 90% of pvpers think it is a terrible idea to make one class better at 1v1 so that it loses less in ranked queues...
First off people favor sith because everyone is a butthead and is bored by goodie twoshoes plots. Second off there are 12 terrible QQ OPs on the first page so couldn't you just post this in one of those?
I personally think 1v1, 2v2, and 4v4 are the most rewarding pvp. In these smaller groups you can usually find enough friends to make a cohesive group, and don't have anyone but yourself to blame if you lose.
I think SWTOR has a lot to prove in the next couple of patches. If they start to bring some balance to things people will feel very reassured. If they rehash mistakes of WHO I think many are going to bail.
