  1. I don't like it, or not for WZ at least. People will become scared to stop dpsing and do whatever is required for the objective - however short that interruption may be - because they don't want to lower this avg value.
  2. Yes. But that doesn't change anything about what @DougTheNoob said regarding his experience or other solo players. That's nice for you. But I don't care about GSF. Nor do I care about other things for CQ. I only PvP. Then what? I'm a paying customer and I have to resort to such bs as creating a backup f2p account? That sounds ridiculous to be honest. I think explains a lot of your remarks above and in your previous reply as well - it's nice you're being honest about it. For you, PvP is not the main focus of the game. Please realize that for others, it is. Or at least, they want it to be, but 7.2 is making it very hard.
  3. Unfortunately, that's not the only functional issue with the scoreboard: https://forums.swtor.com/topic/926577-pvp-scoreboard-bugs/. There are even more issues from a usability point of view. This is indeed very annoying and has been happening just as frequent as it did before for me. This is also not just a visual glitch without consequences; it can actually impact the results of the match when people assume it's still up. Agreed on a bunch of your other points as well. Although lots of them have already been mentioned in other threads, maybe BW is more inclined to accept it from you. Guess it's not bad to have it all summarized in a less hostile and more easy to consume list in any case...
  4. Assume: Feature A: some unclean hackish only half working feature (which is the suggestion here). Feature B: any clean non-hackish well designed feature. Feature A adds comparatively lesser value to their product than B. Now they have to choose which one to add. It's perpetually either A or B. The "cost more" would be the value not added by going for A instead of B.
  5. You're right, and in reality OP agrees with you I would assume. He's simply trolling. The issue is, IMO at least, currently you can choose between grouping up (which is not always an option) and having a good time, or not grouping up and playing with clueless players and having a bad time. Admittedly I'm generalizing somewhat now, but this is no fun way of having competition. Maybe as dps, people just like to deathmatch to entertain themselves when they notice it's a lost cause. But I main a support class. Supporting a bunch of clueless players is not my idea of having fun competition. I'm sounding hostile towards new PvP players now. While actually I like this new influx of players, it's good for the community of course. But please, for example, don't (EDIT: consistently) put me at valor 100 (yes yes I know, you can be valor 100 and still be rubbish, but at least it's an indicator) in a team which practically is running around naked at what I can only assume is valor <10, which can't count enemy players and woefully overcommits, which doesn't seem to know about CC but only about pieuw pieuw, which even when they should do pieuw pieuw their dps is abysmal, which can't call inc, which calls "run orbs!" when down hundreds of points, for which holding mid is an incomprehensible matter, etc. etc., versus a premade which does take care properly of the aforementioned and more. Anyway, I guess this turned into more of a rant than a relevant reply 😅
  6. Not bad. But I found a far better solution this evening. I was becoming somewhat annoyed by my teammates', let's say, less than optimal decisions. This leads to toxic behavior from my end. I came to the realization that if I simply stop playing, this gets rid of the toxic behavior, and doesn't leave me fuming. Then I thought, this only solves my own toxicity, but not others'. The ultimate logical step, would be to remove pvp altogether. I have now started playing vet fp. No need to know anything, everyone can smash whatever buttons they want, or not, and we still win, which makes me feel good without toxicity. I think we should just remove pvp, and only keep vet fp. Anything more difficult brings toxicity. In all seriousness, pvp is simply no longer enjoyable. I was looking forward to a fun evening, what I ended up with is the thought I should have just joined the wife instead of wasting time on this pile of crap which it became mainly or even more so after 7.2. After another "sorry don't want to be here, just here for the weekly" in <320 gear because of this influx of insufferable pve players (not all of them, and also matchmaking issue, not their fault I guess), my finger is simply hovering over the uninstall button. If I have another look at the W/L ratio because of the aforementioned, I think I might just click on it.
  7. I have to commend you for keeping your calm while explaining. I'm being triggered and I'm not even involved in the discussion. But then again, I'm easily triggered.
  8. It would be the perfect ploy. - People complain about 4-man premade - BW increases to 8 - Even more complaints - BW decreases to 4 again - People happy 😁
  9. You know you don't have to level their crew skills, right?
  10. That's something we can most definitely agree on. As is this; same to you.
  11. I'm not trying to bait you at all. I even tried giving a gracious way out of "escalating" further, but you decided not to take it. So here we are. You can disagree with my opinion of you instructing the OP to be selfish. Which you obviously do. No I didn't, and no I honestly don't, because that's not what your words were saying. It is I who implied that maybe this is what you meant, just to be nice and offer you a gracious way out. Don't want to pull @Monterone into the discussion even though I guess I am somewhat doing so now, just by mentioning him, but it seems at least he had the same (initial) impression (if not I apologize up front). So it also appears to not just be me. Also, it's not the first time I see you pulling of this kind of spiel when someone calls you out on something to make it look like we are being idiots. Anyway, in the meantime @Samcuu, @Monterone et al. have given more useful responses than both yours and mine combined, so sorry for not being more helpful from the start @Mawi; I tried conveying the PvE path in my initial post, but was admittedly not very clear. Thankfully others have proven to be more useful 😅
  12. Merely the act of PvPing with such a low IR is already being selfish at the expense of teammates IMHO. Although as said maybe OP is unknowingly doing so. From what I understood, you were saying this (running around with such low IR in lvl80 pvp) is fine to do. Therefore, yes, you were urging OP to be selfish. Again, in my opinion. You're free to disagree of course. Now, if the intended message was "take their advice, but don't let this stop you from enjoying pvp", in that case I agree and we don't need the popcorn as mentioned in your edit reason 😉
  13. I'm glad to see new people who are actually interested in PvP itself, and are not just playing for the new reward track. At least, that's what I assume from your post. That being said, I wouldn't call myself an elitist, but I have to say I agree with them. You don't need to run around in 332 from the start of course, but 277 is indeed quite low. Especially as it's easy to get higher (even if it's gear not acquired through pvp initially). See @Nee-Elder's comment, and taking into account the following which came with 7.2: Is quite selfish if you ask me. "Screw my 7 other team mates, as long as I am having fun!" Now, I'm not saying OP is knowingly being selfish, I'm sure he's not, as he's actively seeking out advice on the forums, which is nice.
  14. Honestly not trying to attack or discredit you, but, how do you know for a fact they were premades? Same guild? You encountered the same people more than once? You know these people from previous encounters? ... ?
  15. Answer: Not to start about gearing, the so called "PvP revamp", the half-assed UI changes which came in 7.0, "streamlining" of abilities to "give us more choice" (hint: stop with the deceiving lying bs because it obviously doesn't) and so on and so forth.
  16. I understand what you're saying, there may be truth in it in some cases. However I don't fully agree. Some people are not really afk, but they're so bad they may as well could be (that's what I meant with figuratively afk, which probably wasn't clear - my bad). I can't leave these matches because of lockouts, the matchmaker is garbage. So you're stuck. In those cases I would like it to at least count toward daily/weekly so I'm not completely wasting my time. Some players are so oblivious to anything I think even a loss not being rewarded would not be an incentive to improve. Or they are simply incapable of doing so, which again is fine, but there should be a proper matchmaker to bunch these people together. I would rather not play, than play with a team in 280ir gear which, thinks it's a good idea to defend a node with 3 while losing, doesn't know how to use cc, thinks it's a good idea to run orbs instead of preventing cap when more beneficial, etc. etc..
  17. Had a 80% or so win ratio the other day. Today, it's down to 50% due to clueless pve people who literally or figuratively afk. It's absolutely infuriating to play like this. This is no longer fun to play. It makes me want to punch someone in the face. Then again, maybe I have some anger issues, who knows. These people of course also have a right to play. But throw them all together then. Meaning we arrive again at the matchmaking issue.
  18. Some good news in there (64 bit, ... ), but all in all, you should be ashamed of yourself.
  19. Interesting take. However There's nothing preventing them from keeping MVP votes, without it giving out any additional valor, if they would choose to do so. Currently, I indeed don't even care about the scoreboard. So mission accomplished I guess. It's bugged (made a post about this in the bug reports subforum), don't care at all about the first tab, there's more clicks required, the pop-up is absolute garbage, no MVP, ... At this point they should stop touching anything, as anything they touch they seem to somehow make worse compared to the more OG devs, who at least seemed to know what they were doing on these kind of aspects of the game. The only thing which is a marginal improvement UI-wise in WZs is the new map, IMO.
  20. At this point they should just fire Jackie and hire you as community manager. You're more responsive, you say exactly the things her bosses actually would want her to say, you're working on weekends, you understand their big plans so even no need to ask the boss first what to say. It's perfect! Jackie; please don't be offended, I'm just joking, kind of. Edit: please don't ban me, I'm loving this new forum-PvP. It's more interesting than the in-game one currently.
  21. It became a 100% troll account after 7.2. Though he's doing a good job of keeping it up, so I'm starting to doubt whether he's not an employee after all 😅
  22. - When hovering over a player's row to see the detailed numbers in a badly formated pop-up next to the scoreboard instead of the way it was before (great decision btw /s), the pop-up is disappearing every time a player leaves. EDIT: I'm using the ops frame, if it matters. - When viewing the tab with all players and sorting by e.g. heals desc, the data on the top row (which now coincidentally was my own row) disappears. My name in the row is also gone. It simply shows "NAME". Hovering on the row still shows the pop-up. Same thing for bottom row when sorting asc. EDIT: Also happening when not top/bottom row
  23. Let's say I have to b1te my tongue in-game more often than not, not to be called toxic. lol what is this, I'm not allowed to reply with the word b1te because it means peepee in french I guess? Are we in the French forum? I don't think so.
  24. I can tell you how to solve this right now: set all three to 5 minutes. You're welcome.
