Taking lag out of the equation, it is easy. Maul has a 180º angle you can literally Maul them from side on basically.

You clearly have never fought a good Marauder/Sentinel then. They are probably the best 1v1 class. Operative has less utility but more damage from Stealth. Caught out of Stealth I would prefer to be the Assassin as I have Speed and Knockback and such. Personally, I will level both to 50 and play both as burst DPS. Anyway, for rated WZs, I wouldn't recommend either of these classes if you are starting a new char. Make a Merc or a Sorc or if you really want to melee go with the Marauder.

I've been trying to do this on my server with little to no success. I'll probably be transferring my character but will try to do this on whatever server I go to.

On the rare occasion I go Darkness I always pull snipers. If you think you really can't be pulled I don't know what kind of players you have on your server lol. On topic I don't think it should be removed. Trust me that's not the reason PvP isn't great.

If you want to be able to kill people fast Deception is the only way to go. If you really want to change spec I think the others have given you enough info. Just don't ever expect to do about 16k damage in 6 seconds to anyone.

Find out when they are meeting, take your mates and go smash some people. I make it a mission to stop anyone kill trading on my server if I can. I didn't need it to get Battlemaster. Neither do they. Why are you in full PvE gear..? You can get Champ gear as soon as you hit 50 and Battlemaster gear is barely an upgrade at all.

What a joke. I know for a fact every regular Republic PvPer on my server knows an Operative called Meggles. Every Rep knows to be careful of him and they try to focus fire him and kill him usually with little success. When he specs heals he easily tops WZs as well. All you Operatives/Scoundrels that think you can't perform well are seriously just BAD players. Very very bad. I really should level my Op come to think of it.

You never got 9 medals as Deception..? Well, you're doing it wrong. Sounds like Darkness will be better for you. It's much easier to use. I've had 12 or so medals as Deception quite a few times. Alas, I find Darkness utterly boring. Also Shield is worthless in PvP use a Focus.

Well my premade rarely farms and if we do it is only vs Republic. It is pretty annoying having 4 5 minute huttballs in a row with such pathetic rewards though..

The Imps can't do anything better then the Reps good god. Our classes don't do 'more' dps we can't 'protect people better' I mean hell what the f am I even reading here? Yea some of our animations are faster oh boy. I will trade my Shock for Project anyday as it enables MORE BURST DAMAGE. Your talking about balance then say you are referring to 1v1.. jesus dude this game is not balanced around 1v1. I don't feel like I grinded anything for my gear. I had.. believe it or not, fun killing people. The fact I got ANYTHING for just killing people was a pleasant surprise. Just for the record, when I was in my 20s and 30s we still won some games vs 50 groups which obviously had started getting PvP gear. If you want to PvP you should expect to have to play a decent amount to get the gear. They are making it easier to get as well so honestly put in some effort, get the same gear as everything, then yay it's about skill. Fail post.

First of all. I haven't rolled a Sorc. I'm an Assassin and already have a pretty good idea of what they have. They have slightly more CC then a Sin. Talented Root on KB and a longer Mez.. do they even get anything more? Other then their infamous bubble of course, which I always break in like 1 or 2 GCDs. Are you referring to healing or DPS? Because I dominate DPS Sorcs. Healers just take a long time to kill but they can't do much other then kite. A healing Merc on the other hand hell I usually just ignore it till last because it's 5x harder to take out then a Sorc with their heavy armor and that uninterruptible skill etc. Marauders can also tear them up. Hell, a well played Marauder will more often then not beat me. Oh shush young one. There are those of us who know Sorcs are far from the Godly status you forum dwellers try to make the world believe. They are very good in the hands of a skilled player. Just.. like.. every.. class..
