  1. If I am reading that correctly, all it says is that you will have access to the level 65 SM operations through a bolstered groupfinder starting when you reach level 50. That doesn't mean its any easier than it was at level, just that you can be bolstered to 65 for groupfinder sort of like how you are currently bolstered for Kuat but the minimum level to q is 50. Does not necessarily mean its becoming irrelevant, nor was something like EV SM irrelevant for a great many players when the game launched. As we see now, people still have trouble with the older operations when they are over-levelled not to mention those that are at level.
  2. I have no problem with them "dumbing down" the solo content as you say in the rest of your post, my point is the contrast between them making it so solo focused and "dumbed down" contrasted with the fact that those players who take advantage of that change are also going to be faced with correspondingly harder ops which makes the groupfinder failure rate potentially drastically increase at level 65. With a level increase of the old ops, they are effectively being "undumbed" which is the reverse of having the more difficult content stay at a lower level rating than max level which enables people who couldn't clear the content at an equal level have that option open to them on a much easier scale when only half the boss attacks actually hit you because of the level gap.
  3. Is anyone else just waiting to see the complaint threads about the content being to hard for casuals similar to threads like nerf underlurker in story mode already. If you don't think you will start seeing a lot of that when everything is at level cap then you are probably just insane. Sure this will be good for the people who are progression players that have wanted to go back and do these instances at level, but its also bad for those people who did progress through those instances at level and have therefore done them ad nauseum already. Then there are the casual people who for whatever reason can't produce the sustained dps to defeat bosses or have the understanding of their classes to survive hard hitting mechanics, whatever the issue may be e.g. not putting in the time, not really reading their skill trees, not understanding a rotation, or learning an operations boss mechanics to in turn get the most out. What this means for those casual people is that they most likely wont be able to go on a run for that Nigtmare EC tank or title, or get Wings of the Architect which has been the good side of over-levelling and over-gearing those previous operations. I am not criticizing those people or calling them terrible or telling them L2P, my goal of this post is to point out the inconsistency of Bioware making this game easier for the solo player to the point where one doesn't need to learn every nuance of a dps/tanking/healing rotation are now going to be told that the endgame content available to them is a large step up in difficulty and that the great majority of people going into those operations. Depending on if you watch player streams or not, I have seen groups in a groupfinder bolstered DF wipe, they are wiping on SM with already being 5 levels higher than the operation and bolstered to something like 6 tiers of gear higher. How does that translate to all the operations being at level 65.
  4. So you landed on the invisible platform where the boss goes during one point of his stair phase. Not really a bug, just a place where players aren't supposed to go because they should be following the mechanics.
  5. I recently leveled a toon on bastion and didn't actually see an imp till yavin. I was leaving well enough alone and was lined up to kill a gold mob in the second area. Tab target and tell my companion to attack, obviously the enemy 20 meters away from me is who the tab target should have selected. Imagine my surprise when Nadia goes charging past the gold mob without engaging. I quickly order her to disengage and then look at my target... some imperial character 80 meters away is what was selected by my tab target... are you ******* kidding me!
  6. Are the operations boards bugged for ToS? I know people who have been uploading their logs but the parses do not appear.
  7. You do realize that you objected to what he said and then wrote the same exact thing he did but with the tone of an ***hole instead of a friendly helpful person.
  8. Lol if you think anything is easier than either malaphar or sparky.
  9. Ooooooo I can't wait till this thread gets shut down like the Happy Independence Day one usually does because some people have an issue with a celebration of independence. Happy Canada Day!
  10. Lol brings back memories. Pug tfb sm, we get to operator 9 and the fight is explained in detail down to clicking on your console when it's your color. We get to the yellow time period and a sentinel is supposed to be clicking the console. He gets rescued to it and everyone is typing in ops chat that he needs to click, can you guess the result we get from the sentinel now standing next to the console? Force smash!
  11. Read full posts before you post and perhaps even read the full amount of what you quoted.
  12. Or it might possibly have more to do with the fact that no one wants to do a quest at the end of a very long mini game that has sub par rewards. Did it once and that was far more than enough.
  13. Why restrict this to dancers bottoms. There are so many trooper chest pieces that are awesome. But they all have the butt curtain....
  14. That is quite the list. I mean it's astounding the number of memorable npcs that left such profound impressions on you that you don't even remember their names...
  15. All hail the every 90 days click a referral link and get all the story up to that point lol.
  16. Wait, is it seriously being argued that ToS is an essential part of the story and that it can't be completed without doing the operation? I mean, this thread was dumb before but now... NEWS FLASH: they made the solo revan fight so everyone could see the full story! If you consider random npcs additions of, "oh look another big boss to kill!" and "yay, you killed that big bad boss!" story well then... yeah, its still a foolish argument. Bottom line for killing underlurker is knowing your left from your right and being able to figure it out in less than 6 seconds or so, I hope everyone is capable of that even if they need to hold their hand up to see which one forms an L. and secondly get behind an object to avoid damage and stand in the green square. Neither of those are very taxing and I would find it difficult to believe that so many people have such an issue.
  17. Well lets think about this, The two most basic and helpful guidelines for any DPS are: 1. Do Not Die 2. Kill Order: Weak > Strong > Elite Now, lets review what these two items entail. 1. Do Not Die: if you are dead you are not doing damage, fairly obvious 2. Kill Order: Weak > Strong > Elite To investigate this we have to look at each part individually. Lets look at a basic pull in star wars, there are a couple weak mobs (both melee and ranged), two silvers (these typically deal the most damage), and one gold (takes the longest time to kill). In this pull we will assume the tank knows what they are doing i.e. maintains aggro on the enemies which deal the most damage and attempt to keep the others out of harms way by taunting the enemies who cant be reached but is focused on keeping those strong/elites away from the others. If there are any the tank can't hit, after six seconds they will be free to hit whomever they please (probably healer) Weaks: kill these before the taunt drops off and they either hit you or the healer. If you don't hit and then kill them they will go and have fun with the healer Thus killing weaks assuming a competent tank will accomplish those things in the OP and allow the tank to build aggro on the higher damage mobs, strongs/elites. Strongs: These do the most individual damage(terminate anyone?) but also can be killed quickly. Removing anything doing a not insignificant amount of damage will make both the healer's and tank's jobs easier and these can be killed faster than the gold thereby reducing the length of time where there is increased damage. If you killed weaks first, the assumed competent tank should have a large enough lead in aggro that you will not rip from him and you can still kill the silver without taking any damage from them. Oh, and interrupts are also amazing with silvers. So what are you doing at this point? Elites: At this point the group should be pretty relaxed and there should be a minimal amount of damage going out as there is only one enemy left, enjoy a relaxed final kill of the pull! If a dps follows the "focus the tank's target" then aggro has the potential to be all over the place with mobs that should be dead still dealing damage and possibly dealing damage to people who it would be helpful to not take damage thus making the healer frantically This will probably end badly more often than not, especially in a pug.
  18. Sure let's stretch it out to something rediculous... you should be nuking the adds that can heal in that situation rather than the tank targets btw.
  19. Can these please be made to stack to 99. The absorb adrenals are still used by tanks since they are better than the +absorb rating that the newer ones have given and having 20 stacks of 10 in your inventory or legacy bank rather than 2 stacks of 99 is somewhat ridiculous. Thanks!
  20. Everyone got their Conqueror title and then either stopped playing or returned toons to original guilds.
  21. Please learn actual dps kill order before posting about it. Weak > Strong > Elites On Boss fights, unless mechanics of the fight say otherwise, dps kill adds then back to boss. Love watching those fantastic dps that stay on the boss while the healer gets murdered because the adds aren't getting killed.
  22. Lol ranking =/= valid statistics of whether something is "better," thats an aggregate based on opinions of people who bother to go to a website and vote, a minority of the population in any game. I can just as easily say that Secret World isn't even on the list of most popular games today while SWtOR is 3rd therefore swtor is better. Taking a minute to look at your mmorpg.com makes it even more laughable its and average number based on opinions held by a few people who do ratings of games. If your likes are similar to theirs, thats great for you go play what they tell you to play. Still doesn't make it a valid objective fact.
