  1. God now i feel old in this game too... Back in the day, as stated earlier Illum owpvp was it (unless you were on a PVP server, which i'll cover later) but with that many people on, you would get debilitating lag...and then came the complaints and the nerf... There also were multiple servers that "suited" your needs (PVP, PVE, RP, ever RP PVP). I actually liked to level on PVP servers while i don't PVP very much, in my opinion it was more immersive "IMPS AT THORAZAN!". (RIP Bastion, Fatman/ Pot5, Jung Ma) On PVE servers you could flag yourself to be attacked by another faction, but there was a 'bug' where you could unintentionally get flagged...and then the complaints came and then the nerf...(this is an ability that i wish they'd bring back personally after fixing the unintentional flag) Like Trixxie said, i'll level on PVP servers but i like to see people too. It is interesting that the PVP community levels on the PVE side or maybe they are so anti PVE they just don't do it...
  2. Yeah i notice that too...lol...But the lore is convenient enough to trickle in
  3. This is interesting. I always thought Lucasfilm Games was dead w/the acquisition. I read a couple of things from this release. 1. EA couldn't seal the deal to continue to have sole rights to Star Wars games (or didn't want to continue to be the sole dev) &/or 2. Disney finally realized hey there's money in this gaming industry, maybe we should expand. I just remembered, "Oh yeah, Indiana Jones is owned by Disney too". It's one of those things that's always out there but i just didn't realize because my 'universe' revolves around Star Wars. That's IP that is ripe for development too. Well, hopefully this is good news for SWTOR. I'm cautiously hopeful (especially with all the cryptic messaging going on..."We have something big to tell you but can't yet...") Plus it appears that they're adding headcount/investing (looking at you Jackie ), so hopefully Lucasfilm realize they got something here
  4. almost seems like you're promoting... Report...Ignore...move on
  5. During the scene where JK's get their lightsaber, "Jedi's Fury" would be playing in the background. This track provided context to the moment when you were getting your first saber. Now the scene is just....meh Please bring back the original track.
  6. This isn't a specific bug, but the game seems very 'laggy' after the patch. Odessan was a mess last night.
  7. There is something to be said, being "middle class" in this game w/a grand total of 300MM in my legacy.
  8. “The celebration continues” Achievement: during the Life Day event, find 200 Snow-Covered Parcels by using the Life Day Snowball Bomb
  9. Said this on another thread, but can't wait to see all the forum complaints about the new snowball cannon achievement.
  10. Can't wait to see the forum complaints about the new snowball cannon achievement...
  11. Errmagerd!!! a kindred spirit! 9 years and I have 1 toon through Onslaught. (I'm currently carrying 41 on SS) My biggest problem is staying on toons during the week after they've made conquest. A voice in my head keeps telling me "This is not an efficient use of your time..."
  12. Welcome! The best moment i remember was 9 years ago looking up this game on Dec. 23rd, realizing it had just launched. As we had just finished moving into our current house, i decided to give myself a treat and subbed. This was my 1st MMO so like others mentioned didn't know anything. Anyway that best moment was taking my 1st Jedi Sentinel over the hill after beating The Gnarls and seeing the Temple for the 1st time.
  13. SpecHash goes great with eggs, preferably over hard. and your choice of ham or sausage.
  14. But Disney does have control over LucasArts... The Sequels are a clear example of in to deep...granted they tried to produce something with great pressure...but they didn't have the time to make that diamond.
  15. Just like the title says. A variation of the Freelance Hunter helmet/headpiece but where you can see your face.
  16. I have said this in chat and in other places, It is my opinion that the SWTOR team dropped the ball by not making Trapjaw a Krayt. Back to topic, definitely seeing some design elements...can't say if intentional or not.
  17. Nice to hear from Allison again. She was great when she was on the Community team!
  18. The White Gray sells well too Also I just learned the White Pink from the Bounty Hunter rep...it seems to be more hot and cold thought marketwise
  19. i for one appreciate that Fez Burba was brought back....sort of.
  20. One thing i've recently discovered (I know, late to the party) is cashing in jawa junk on 'maintenance' and 'delicacies' and give to those comps that like them.
  21. Not too shabby...i like the mudhorn mount and the BBQ
  22. Nawww....that thicc boi needs to be (and is in my case ) body type 4
  23. Pretty much like the title says... I'm in a little bit of a funk that when i get a toon up to Lvl. 75 i stop doing as much of the story. I think this is related to the fact that i also stop progress for the week once i hit conquest, but that's not the question. So do you stop at 75 or finish the story up through Onslaught? (Don't care if you skip Knights or not.)
  24. And...??? Now let me preface that there are comments that the augments won't make that much difference and to quote my guild's conquest/PVP officer, "the jury is still out...the numbers aren't jiving..." But if you have to get them... You have two primary ways to source the mats to make the augments. You'll grind ranked and/MM ops w/ your guildies to farm the mats (forget the drop rate) or you'll buy the mats of GTN... "But I don't have that many creds and the drop rate sucks!!!" So you now have 4 paths: (Including up above) 1. You make stuff and sell on GTN to afford the mats on GTN 2. You buy stuff at a low price and upcharge on GTN (Its a thing, i do it...just not the Gordon Gekko numbers people are quoting here on the forums) to earn the creds to buy the mats on GTN 3. You buy CCs and buy items and then sell on GTN. (IMO this is silly as you're spending hard currency for 'Space Barbie'. Don't get me wrong, i have bought CCs and will again but that's for me and me alone as i play 'Space Barbie") Again to earn the creds to buy on GTN 4. Gold Sellers. Creds/GTN We get it...but we all know the inherent risks with that. To summarize a refresh... And...??? For the people that want to do this 'grind' for augments that again i quote, "...the numbers don't jive" , that's their choice no one is making them/you do it especially since the gain isn't very apparent. So to the OP and anyone else that want to jump on that hamster wheel... And....??? No one is making you do it . The gains don't appear to be that relevant. If you feel the need to go down paths #3 and #4 that's on you to accept the risks of yes very expensive and yes dealing w/Gold sellers, but at the end of the day no one is making you do it. The decision is with you alone.
