  1. I don't think you lose anything though. To quote the description "Once collected, the information is automatically transmitted..." Hence leaving "junk"
  2. Not bad, I'll definitely be doing seasons again. Some feedback...can't tell the difference between the boxxer mounts...(looks like you may be fixing it...). And c'mon, couldn't you have the new animal mounts a different vocalization? But like I said i'll still be doing seasons.
  3. Do you mean the 3rd chapter? If you're just doing the purple missions, that sounds about right...If you go back to base game, you're were about the mid to late 40s when you hit Voss. I've never done straight purple missions (all purple + heroics to gear up and favorite exploratory, sprinkled in w/FP here and there) so i'm not the best gauge.
  4. Jeebus...long day at work and i'm only half done... Reading the title I swore there was going to be a hip-hop reference...
  5. I chuckled when I saw the name of the droid...
  6. Not necessarily If you remember, green, blue and even purple static gear would drop randomly while leveling. Every planet had that one specialty vendor that would sell BiS shells that weren't exactly cheap There were still vendors that would sell lesser quality gear for cheap. The issue was with FPs (and OPs) where'd you'd get the really good drops but there was the 'need, greed or pass' dynamic and too many times you'd have a Commando "need" a lightsaber and say "they needed it for an alt" and you'd go to the GTN and it'd be for sale. Then I think it was sometime in the 5.x timeframe I remember Eric outlining how that was all going to change and just play the game the way you want and you'll get all the gear you need. In fact that little decision is what lead to the first jump in inflation. I remember with all the heroic runs, you'd easily net at least 100k by selling all the green/blue drops you didn't need that you got just by running a planet's heroics solo. *edit if memory serves, I think this is when companion influence became a thing as well, not requiring us to gear companions anymore. Personally I'd like to see a return the Specialty vendors and crafting BiS while leveling. That's how I made my first 1MM when 1MM was a thing.
  7. Woof if you thought it was a slog, you should have been around when it first dropped...couldn't take 3 steps without hitting a mob. SoR was fun (IMO)...Rakata prime is still one of my favorite planets, even though we're not on it long. You'll enjoy SoR!
  8. Yeah i don't know what I was thinking about the crates. I've never tried but can you go to Odessan to cash those in prior to KotFE? Honestly i don't see purple gear i forgot about it (at least when leveling up) thanks for pointing that out!
  9. Regarding gearing (and in small part to help w/lvling), I like to do most/all of a planet's heroics that can be at the terminal when you first get to the planet. 1. You get top of the line blue gear, based upon your current equipped gear up to Lvl75. 2. It helps out the leveling a bit too.
  10. While a little disappointed...not surprised. I can imagine the outcry "What about the bugs?!? This is what you call content?!?"
  11. Prior to companion influence, when you had to gear companions, Treek's healer/tank hybrid was beast! When she first came out there was much crying that she was "pay to win" because she was like 1500 cartel coins or the mission for 1.5MM creds, whereas w/HK you had to earn w/a series of missions She was great during ow PVP fights @ Thorazan. She would pull the other players comp to attack her but was strong enough to keep herself and you up. Her tank/healer build was funny because people would complain about her glider attack as distracting. I found Makeb and Oricon and SoR much easier w/her as a comp. But things changed with KOTFE and companion influence. People were so used to using Treek prior to KOTFE that when you couldn't use her for the first few chapters and when you could she wasn't as good anymore. I would even argue that Bioware acknowledges this a little with the cutscene on Odessen when Treek and HK leave to 'explore' So yes Treek and HK were beast back in the day, but they're not anymore. I still get all the comps once i leave the starting planet (or when I get my first comp) because this gets a leg up on crafting but as said prior they're just a gatherer and it is a bit sad.
  12. That actually looks pretty good...not bad It looks like Darth Malgus' Damaged, twisted fang (single and dual saber) and Dark Honor Guard Unstable have the same effect. There looks to be a few dual sabers that will throw the same effect
  13. man this annoys me.. my body 3 female mara is death incarnate...if she chooses not to kill you it's because you are beneath her...but in the heat of battle i hear "Belach"
  14. From a dev standpoint things are done in parallel for both factions, otherwise there would be holy hell from pub side on why they didn't get content... BUT... How about a new flashpoint (think Rogue 1) where you have to fight your way out so you can transmit the data you retrieve from the datacore? Bear with me... Area 1 - Fight your way to Communications room on Voidstar, only to find out it's non functional/not powerful enough whatever. Boss fight w/Spec Op commander chasing you. Area 2 Fight your way back to hanger to commandeer a shuttle to take you to planet/moon Voidstar is orbiting to transmit data. Boss fight is w/ Shuttle commander and or crew. LS/DS choice is whether you wait for Spec Op team supporting you or whether you execute crew (if single boss fight) Area 3 Fight way to transmitter on surface and final boss fight against Jedi/Sith leading retrieval mission. Zone back to fleet. Voidstar is back into story with both factions and the "win" is the data retrieved.
  15. you may want to double check, the mods may still be there. Some blue items are still modifiable, for example the first lightsaber you get. If it's not then off to outfit designer. * Edit- i just ran a toon through to get it...you can still mod it
  16. stupid question, there is not... Yoda.... ummm xxxBBY You know he said it!
  17. point of order... Keith said report the bug...not that it was a bug.
  18. As a jedi padawan and you come over the hill from the gnarls and see the jedi temple for the first time. On Taris on pub side looking across the toxic lake at the broken city scape, has a quiet eerieness On Tatooine, looking over "The Wound" Alderaan...LOL but on the Alsakan lowlands on the coast looking back to the mountains. Rakata Prime on the beach by the Nexus , looking out to the ocean and seeing the thunderstorms build. I think that's about it...
  19. One thing i would like to add is that the Austin area got a lot of ice. I'm seeing accounts of 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch. That brings down power lines. I also read yesterday afternoon that there were still 180k in the Austin area that were without power. I'm sure Austin Energy primary focus right now is to get power to Bioware Studios so they can drop a patch...
  20. I don't know why but this reminds me of a Steven Wright joke..."I like to walk into clothing stores and have the salesperson ask me 'what size?' and I reply, 'Extra medium'"... In regards to projects, i need to finish restomodding a 1950 GMC truck, so i can begin on my daughter's 1953 Chevy truck. Plus i'm realizing i need to renovate/move around my garage/shop. In addition the wife is starting to ping me on replacing our floors...all that plus finding time to play SWTOR
  21. Nope...people have been screaming about that since launch so they could make Boba Fett clones But i guess that supports your point...
  22. Because no one at EA/Bioware is willing to stake their career by saying "if you give me "$X" in development i guarantee Z ROI.." or if that have, its not a number that ultimately EA likes.
  23. God now i feel old in this game too... Back in the day, as stated earlier Illum owpvp was it (unless you were on a PVP server, which i'll cover later) but with that many people on, you would get debilitating lag...and then came the complaints and the nerf... There also were multiple servers that "suited" your needs (PVP, PVE, RP, ever RP PVP). I actually liked to level on PVP servers while i don't PVP very much, in my opinion it was more immersive "IMPS AT THORAZAN!". (RIP Bastion, Fatman/ Pot5, Jung Ma) On PVE servers you could flag yourself to be attacked by another faction, but there was a 'bug' where you could unintentionally get flagged...and then the complaints came and then the nerf...(this is an ability that i wish they'd bring back personally after fixing the unintentional flag) Like Trixxie said, i'll level on PVP servers but i like to see people too. It is interesting that the PVP community levels on the PVE side or maybe they are so anti PVE they just don't do it...
