  1. Both ideas sound good. Would be a nice QoL change. Probably a simple tweek i would hope. Ashur
  2. Not sure this is the best suggestion but id support it as a route to acquire currently unavailable rep tokens for cartel market items. I can get certs, contraband slot machine access, but currently no way to get the rep for the other vendors. I am and will always support players having access to all content in a game they support. I am opposed to "exclusivity" and the mind set it generates... Ashur
  3. Just a suggestion. In other mmo's that i have played that utilize in game shops with shop currency, several run specials on the currency sales. X2 double coins and x3 triple coin incentives. Usually not that frequent, maybe 2-3 × per year on double coins and 1-2 x per year with triple coins. Maybe something to consider with SWTORS cartel market? Ashur
  4. I goofed around and didnt keep track of my cost at first. I did read the onl8ne guides. Think i ended up spending between 12-20 million. I probably wasted 3-5 mill on king pin tokens before i read the strat. When i settled down and got serious, i played smugglers until i had 300 king pins then went to town- using the buff trick/strat. Think with all the time and credits i wasted, i got 20ish mounts, enough certs for 12 rancors and all the other (multiples) decos n items....and only 1 pig...which is why i played so long. Dam pig luck was horrible. Think i started wearing the double unlucky titles about halfway through... Ashur
  5. Pretty sharp m8.....might have to "borrow" that look Ashur
  6. Dont get me wrong, if its doable then i support it. My implication was simply that Manaan is a water world correct? You could have structurelike areas to work through but there is no swimming in the game? First thought is that it could be limiting and not do the planet and the experience justice. I vaguely remember kotor's manaan area. The surface platforms, some under sea base and walking in a diving suite to heal or keel a fish thingy. Dont remember the details at this moment. Like i said, i could be surprised. Ashur
  7. Ive only run the manaan fp a few times. Not sure its watery environment is condusive to an actual daily area. I could be surprised. I agree that certain areas would benefit from expansion with more heroics and or dailies. Quesh and Ilum come to mind. Especially with ilum being part of the conquest rotation. Would like more heroics to advance conquest goals than the one "weekly" heroic. Ashur
  8. You know, im not a fan of the nautolan species, however, i recognize that for a lot of players it is. It seems like a good candidate due to what you posted. Im really kind of curious why bioware hasnt made this happen yet. Maybe complications with outfitting around their head/ tendrils? Kind of lines up similar to twileks and togruta we already have. Hope you get your wish, my choices have been deemed unfeasable.... specifically wookies Ashur
  9. You know Ratajack, most of your post in these topics include a lot of hyperbole and unsubstatiated claims. Usually indicating or implying some sort of catastrophic level of response my "hordes" of players that would "destroy" the game should bioware choose to make subscriber rewards obtainable again. It seems to be your way of pushing your agenda which anyone with a brain would see is to keep your precious shinies to yourself, health of the game and enjoyment of current players be damned. Thats fine. I *dont* know what, if any, fallout would occur. I *speculate* that it would be minimal at worst case scenario. And yes, only bioware knows the metrics and their intintions. And yes, we know their *pattern* to this point. However, money talks, and either bioware or EA has listened and according to several locations, they are *at the least* considering the idea. Whether it comes to fruition or not remains to be seen. If it does, there will be some tears, *maybe* some will take their marbles to another sandbox, but rest assured, there will also be much rejoicing and continued support by those that find SWTOR an enjoyable escape into the star wars fantasy... Ashur out..
  10. You know, admittedly i allowed myself to get upset enough to post an ugly thread in another similar post. But one thing that can be counted on is your persistent condesending and outright rude post. You and several other loud persona's that post over and over and over in the same thread. Obviously your intentions are to scream so loud and attempt to make bioware scared of potential fallout should they "cave to the whiners." I hope bioware isnt at all intimidated by youd "claims" and continued persistence to keep your status as "special." Question is, how much true fallout would bioware see if they followed through and.made.available these rewards again? How many lost subscriptions would actually occur. Who would pick up their marbles and move to another sandbox.... Ashur
  11. So, your claiming that your "true" motivation is to protect Biowares integritity/credibility? Sorry, not buying it. Ashur
  12. This "veteran" reward system sounds very similar to the one implemented in star wars galaxies (swg). All rewards were available but the longer term subscribers were always ahead gaining access to the rewards requiring longer times subscribed. Im sure their design is out on the net for those curious. Ashur
  13. There was another thread of similar topic where a dev responded. Maybe someone knows which one. He said something about "lets not do that again" regarding the contrsband slot machine but indicated he would ask the team about it. I meant to post a question asking him why "lets not do that again" to understand what issues made them want to avoid it "again." Ashur
  14. Thank you for explaining some of the pvp issuez Eshvara ( hope i spelled it right). Im not a pvper, and i do understand that pvping for some players is as important to them as pve is to me. I am sympathetic to that idea. I guess what im trying to understand, and im sure bioware would never provide information about the health of the game, is that BW motivation is to ensure longevity. Players that have little to work towards tend to move on to other games. Of course = v revenue= v funding= v staffing= v content = v things for players to do, ie no new content or slower release of content which starts the cycle over. The death of a game. As such, developers must find "creative ways" to keep players working towards in game goals.....at a slower rate to effectively "buy time" so they can generate more content with reduced resources to keep players paying/playing to...."keep the lights on." Id love to hear about the challenges and frustrations developers have to address/ solve to keep their project out of the red and ...keep their paychecks coming. Id bet there are some common "problems" all mmo's have to overcome. Another thread perhaps. Ashur
  15. Isnt they only way to get certs is from old packs and the contraband slot machine currently? Packs being rare these days not to mention pretty pricey? The slot machine having abysmal drop rates. Also, while allowing access to some items from 1-2 vendors, there is currently no way to increase rep with the other cartel vendors making them useless unless you already have their reputation maxed back when you could earn rep (currently unavailable as well). Think there is another post somewhere discussing this stuff. Ashur
  16. I would probably pay real dollars to the cartel market for senya's pike. Would have to be pretty soon tho, getting closer to being able to shell out the ridiculous gtn prices (200 mill +/-) for it now. I would definately buy a black-white crystal set. Black core, white outline that is..... aka the force unleashed. Would be a nice platinium crystalset for a future cartel pack...hint hint nudge nudge.. Might have to endure pvp for the black silver crystal if its even still available although i loath pvp and resent being "forced" into an activity for a specific reward.. Ashur
  17. Im sorry, forgot about this post. Not sure what you mean by avg weight in data. Im not familiar with any technical aspect of video capture. I appreciate the OBS suggestion and have beeb looking into it. I dont necessarily require the software to be free but if i pay for it, i want it to do what i need/want. Right now im just timing my various activities and would like video records showing how long it takes to accomplish my objectives, hence wanting software with a keybind stopwatch shown in the video. Again, thank you for responding. Ashur
  18. Never have agreed with the instant gratification mindset. I dont believe command rank should be legacy wide. Bioware has provided several means to increase cxp through the legacy perk and 2-3 hour 100% cxp buffs you can purchase with tokens or cartel coins. Two questions.... what do people realistically expect the amount of time it should take to bring a character to rank 300 and then to complete BiS gearing? And is anyone willing to try to understand why Bioware set the cxp gearing as it is currently? Why do you think they set the system to its current timing/state. I guess a third question, what aspects of the game really require complete BiS to be successful at this time? NiM raiding? PvP? I honestly dont know as i dont pvp and my team hasnt moved into NIM raiding yet. Ashur
  19. I actually enjoyed rogue one a lot. I liked the darker side of the rebels (cassian murdering his informant etc.) Kind of reminded me of the han solo shot first issue and solo's questionable morality. I enjoyed the story more than force awakens. Ashur
  20. Yeah, i noticed that. I would agree that the effects being the same color as the crystal would probably be more appealing aesthetically (sp)?! Ashur
  21. I agree... i avoid the "skinny jeans" look at all cost... Ashur
  22. Im curious, is there a site that has a list of all the "removed" quest? Just curious whats missing. Ashur
  23. Senya's lightsaber pike...only real whale item from the cartel market im interested in at this point. Ashur
