  1. While I would personally not put those particular two at the very top of my list, they're damn close. I very much support the OP.
  2. With 8 ACs and two factions it's a bit messy. Dual spec across ACs would solve this problem for me.
  3. That's probably the single biggest gripe WoW players have about the game. To be fair, the TOR UI is leagues ahead on the WoW default UI. But it's missing many very important things, as well. Like Recount and a threat meter, or any sort of decent button customization. I also miss Quartz.
  4. WoW has been designed from the ground up to look better on far worse hardware. On the other hand, it's showing its age - the character models among other things look pretty atrocious. TOR sets the bar much higher for minimum, however at its best it's certainly more beautiful than anything WoW can manage. Of course, if you're playing WoW to showcase your graphics card you are doing something seriously wrong. Right now, my computer is pretty old, so I'd trade some of the pretty for a bit more playability. I realize that my computer is about the bottom end of what's expected, however. And I'm planning on upgrading soon anyway.
  5. Considering how much of their system blatantly ripped off WoW, it's not surprising. I think you're discounting all the areas that they've clearly improved, though. The leveling experience is vastly superior to WoW, even post-cataclysm, for example.
  6. No more than having a PVP system forces you to PVP, from what I gather. If someone gave you Farmville points, would that force you to play Farmville? God, I hope not. It certainly doesn't seem like there will be single-character bonuses to running with multiple characters, beyond what currently exist.
  7. I agree with most of these points. The big issue is that it is impossible to differentiate abilities that are off cooldown with abilities that are almost off cooldown. I try to hit Master Strike and Force Stasis while they are on cooldown regularly and it forces me to spend even more time staring at my bars. Make this crap configurable. If you don't like it, squirrel away some "advanced options" panel somewhere. If you're not letting in addons, you need to have a very customizable UI. This isn't cutting it for operations.
  8. It takes about 50 REs to get a purple. It takes about three purples to get the one that actually has tank stats on it. That's where I was pulling those numbers. Mind you, if you want to use a shield with alacrity on it, you won't have to wait nearly as long.
  9. I assume he's still busted for everyone else, too, right? Nobody has completed Crazy Talk? If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't sweat it.
  10. Not true. The first guy you rescue on Tython, you never had a chance to kill. I'm kind of curious who the NPCs you rescue are for DS. For LS, it's
  11. yo dawg I heard you liked offtopic posts Let 'em whine it out. It's no worse that that other MMO.
  12. Correction - We go to Dromund Kas, the imperial Coruscant. Korriban is the Sith equivalent of Tython.
  13. That happens; it's a code thing. It just means that they were tinkering with Slicing and the wrong code got put in. On the plus side, it does mean that they were tinkering with Slicing. Though if I were one of you, I'd just drop it at this point.
  14. I was actually referring to the fully RE'd ones, which require about 150 blue REs to get by the way. There are drop schematics that require level 50 and are higher rating (Ultratech), and there are certainly FP and operation drops that are better.
  15. To be fair, the shields off the crafter are pretty lousy anyway. You're not missing out on much.
  16. I think Quesh could be most accurately described by the passing of gas. ... Oh come on, I heard at least one of you chuckle.
  17. The hill, the fight, the very fires that burned Anakin, all of them are a story weaved by the Force, written in stone long before they happened. It's a decent metaphor and one of the better parts of the prequels. Possibly because it was written years before the prequels were ever announced, not that I have a source for that. Some old interview during the original trilogy rerelease. *edit* Wait, what, Obi-Wan was a tank?
  18. Oooh, yeah I like that one. I mean, past rank six or seven the lines get a good deal fuzzier, but I like it. Bear in mind the IRL fights are heavy on the RNG. I really doubt that in every major fight between Jedi and Sith that the most powerful combatant won.
  19. Actually, I find it quite likely that a new Star Wars trilogy will be released in about thirty years. It'll probably be pretty good, too, since it will be made by Star Wars fans rather than the people who made Star Wars.
  20. An official statement one way or another (whether it is a bug) would be really appreciated. I really hope it's a bug. On the other hand, I can't understand why they would make this sort of change without making it configurable. Without numbers on the bar, the game is hard enough. I spend half of my time staring at my totally unconfigurable bars as it is.
  21. They are the tier three epic Treasure Hunting reward. Your price sounds about right. If you want more, I recommend buying mid-level (24-ish, so around 200 skill) Treasure Hunting crafting missions and running them.
  22. Here's one trick. Harvest your materials by day, and queue up sets of five blues at night. Five blue items will craft while you sleep, reducing your crew's downtime considerably.
  23. By Voss you mean Corellia and by Bastilla you mean Satele, I assume. Get your imaginary space-words straight. I assume that there are different characters on Corellia.
  24. There's a WoW addon named OmniCC which I desperately wish was available for this game. It puts numbers on countdown over buttons. It's much easier to handle a complex rotation with that.
