  1. I always, always get enough alac to get 2.2 ravage, and sometimes take 105%, sometimes not, but always the alacrity. Rest is crit up to like 1400, then power. I do ~3k dlps, never under 2k, and highest is 3900 IIRC. You NEED that alacrity, ataru gives you a passive 3%, getting it up just a little brings a bigger benefit, it'd be different without that 3%, but you want at least 350 alacrity (2.3 ravage, not exactly sure if thats the minimum for it)
  2. As a rough estimate, how much dps do you do on average, with carnage? What's the highest you've got in an arena and a reg warzone?
  3. tier 1: ravage root, Rage on knockbacks and impairment + stunbreak reduc then obviously the fury building. tier 2: ALWAYS the 30 sec predation (hello 10% def chance???? its not a playstyle, its necessary you noobs) then EITHER the 30% slow to its left or the 5%internal/ele + 30% aoe reduction. i get focused a lot and if im playing with a tank and/or healer the cleaves are real. tier 3: undying rage buff + the predation root cleanse. (no, mad dash root cleanse is ****) honestly, its way easier to play fury. the spec somewhat carries you because it's forgiving, on the opposite carnage is absolutely not forgiving. you have to be extremely aggressive, your best defense is offense. as fury.. meh. jump in, leap left and right use slice/burst whenever you can, just use slice before burst. the spec's boring compared to carnage, it feels really, really slow.
  4. OH. Yeah. Don't go max crit. Just enough for 2.2 ravage. So you should be at 2.24 seconds. And get like 1350-1400 crit, then power
  5. Again, carnage is op if you aren't bad. Let me elaborate. If you know mara well enough so that you know to save your cooldowns and have the proper utilities, how to keep your rage up too and assuming you don't use ravage without gore/berserk, it's the best. Rage is very very predictable, because of its buffs, and the way to make your hits crit harder. You need to use berserk or crush, which indicated (most likely) an incoming burst window. Whereas carnage, there's 3 seconds in which you can burst hard as ****, and you can't predict when gore is gonna happen, it's off gcd, and you SHOULD use it when berserk is already up. Even if you were to use force choke, the gcd comes off before its last tick, that alone is enough for anyone to not be able to tell when you'll use gore + deva blast. It's like a 95% garanteed 15-18k crit. Plus if the person breaks your cc... Woot you can use ravage and make sure they don't ****. Or you can use mad dash, turn around and leap to them, in which case they'll probably have the reflex to knock you back.. No stunbreak and no kb? You're most likely at full resolve by then, with a berserk and a gore ready. Enjoy the 2.2 ravage with gore and a 15-18k cri at the end. Then massacre massacre choke gf etc. So yeah. Carnage REQUIRES you to know the class extremely well, and the enemy class. Fury carries you. You want 600-700 alacrity as carnage (enough for 2.2 ravage), rest crit, 5% accuracy. You NEED to know at all times exactly what you'll do the next 4 GCDs, and what'll change if the enemy uses a def cd, a kb, a stun etc.. You have to be constantly on your targets and leap elsewhere as soon as you'll be wasting damage against a pt with hydraulics, for example. Don't chase your targets to the point where you're useless, pick the guys that already used their stunbreak or kb's. Carnage is for killing blows and high burst, don't waste that burst on someone that's mitigating 30% damage. You want to use it on a target that's healing enemies in the back, so that he panics and heal himself, which lets your team kill 1-2 players idealy. Carnage is super personal as to who you'll attack. Use your leaps to stop someone from getting away, stop an innervate, etc. Be smart about your utility, don't waste when it can be used better elsewhere, mistakes cost more as carnage than rage. Also yeah. You have to have really good reflexes and a high level of concentration, don't expecct to global someone just because of gore, it requires a lot of strategy. No, it's not for casuals.
  6. Carnage: fastest paced, medium durability, best burst Anni: medium paced, lowest durability, lowest burst/highest sustained Rage: slowest paced, highest durability, medium burst
  7. Smh never mind just stack it on everything
  8. The tldr: if 5% accuracy helps you, that's because you're lucky. There are too many debuffs from enemies (tanks especially) and defensive cooldowns to justify using accuracy. Especially with the limited stat budget compares to pve full 224 gear. Crit up to 1350-1400 Alacrity if needed (for any class channeling things, mara sniper sorc merc) Then stack power
  9. I'm the guy with over 170 days played on an assassin almost exclusively in pvp, don't get over 40% crit. there. recklessness is only force crit, too, you'd waste stat budget on luck, i'd rather kill my targets ;/
  10. 40% force crit + 60% on recklessness.... 100%? and since it's not auto-crit, it doesn't get "super-crit". I think I stop slightly before 40% total.
  11. 1.5k damage? Not offhealing. Gimped healer and useless dps, that's all.
  12. Pvp get 1446 crit rest power
  13. Assuming you mean pvp, if you go darkness spec get the +1 charge on overload, longer shroud/speed or shroud on cloak, 25% on lacerate, root break on phantom stride.. Full power/crit with power/mastery relics. FULL TANK HAS OPTIONS. 1: if you have a great healer, try dps gear + a shield with dps mods. Obviously guard your healer but focus on being aggressive. Stuns, pulls, knockbacks, debuffs, damage. 2: Hybrid tank. Dps relics, tank ear/implants, MH/OH with defensive stats (shield obv) and high endurance power/crit enhancements. 3. FULL TANK. Dps relics (power/mastery as they have endurance) and every survivor piece. Tank implants, earpiece. A shield gen. Your tank set bonus. BUT. Get the high endurance(low power) mods everywhere. Replace all your enhancements for high endurance, high shield/low absorb (does that exist? Im not home). Basically you replace all your item modifications, costs like 20k comms lol. But, with full 204 and a fortitude stim, properly itemized you have ~87k hp, 90k with full 208. You're unkillable, a *********** pain to the enemy team, and you're very annoying as sins have an aoe slow, aoe accuracy debuff, kb root, you can run away easily, you also have an aoe healing debuff.. But crap damage. Oh well. Sometimes you end up being "too tanky" and nothing dies, hence why hybrid isn't a bad idea either.
  14. Ravage + deva blast is more damage IF AND ONLY IF you have berserk (and blast autocrit obviously) Next highest would be autocrit throw + autocrit blast + massacre Then 2x massacre + dev Gore window dps order from highest to lowest Berserk ravage blast Autocrit throw blast massacre Massacre blast massacre
  15. Darkness dps > deception at this point
  16. Lmfao what. Oh my god ist this 2013 again, let's start rocking level 40 blues for BiS gear in PVP while we're at it
  17. I mean... It was the dream game I might have purposely not interrupted or finished a kill... But still, carnage swag confirmed:rak_03:
  18. http://puu.sh/mJPAu.png Idk *** the noobs are saying, mara is probably the best melee class right now. Carnage is op as hell.
  19. Everyone pls read that last paragraph. If properly played + pocket heals ur a dps machine on shrek duty. http://puu.sh/mJPAu.png Ok my healer didn't really support cause we weren't taking much damage but I'm playing carnage and that jug was playing rage IIRC. In terms of straight damage marauders are terminators. Jugs are more durable, heal to full etc... Under heavy focus, mara wins because of cloak/UR. In a 8v8 reg, jug requires less concentration to do well, less "effort" if you want. The spec kinda carries, whereas an excellent carnage mara can tear through a team if you let him dps.
