  1. - "So, we get a 12x EXP boost for preordering?" - *pre-orders* - "WTH! Why am I leveling so fast?!? Bioware better stop what they're doing and fix this NOW!" I don't know. Personally, that scenario seems way more moronic than the people in this thread telling you to deal with it.
  2. A toggle would be fine, but it's not like they forced people to accept the EXP boost. You knew it was automatic before preordering and you did it anyway. Besides, nothing is stopping people from completing all of the quests. If you're a completionist and you want to do every planetary quest, then you're going to be over leveled anyway. What does a few more levels matter? On a personal note, I haven't played this game in over a year and the boost is the only thing that got me to resub. I'm loving the boost a lot. I've done most of the planetary quests multiple times and being able to finish the few class stories that I missed without having to do them again is awesome.
  3. I just resubbed for this too and it's for all characters. Every time you complete a class quest, you get TONS of EXP. I've gotten my Marauder from level 25 to 40 in a few days doing nothing but class quests. I plan on at least finishing the stories I missed the last time I was subbed.
  4. What I can't stand are the little "tricks" people think make a fight easier for whatever reason when they're normally just pointless. For instance, the final boss on Taral V.... uh, taking out the few turrets and then DPSing the few adds that spawn is complete cake. Yet people insist that everyone crams in the little box under the stairs to make it a confusing mess. I've NEVER wiped in that boss doing it the way it was intended, but I've had several wipes because someone didn't hide all the way or the tank didn't pull the boss into the "hidey hole" the right way.
  5. So, if I have the full Phantom armor set on my Sorcerer except for the helmet, but I also have the helmet on my Operative. Will I be able to add the set to my collection? Or will I need to buy the helmet again for my Sorcerer? Thanks.
  6. There are 8 entirely different experiences in this game. You've only played half. As others have suggested, make 4 imperial characters with the opposite advance class as your republic characters. The combat will feel different and you'll be able to experience 4 new class stories. On top of that, your first play through will be completely new as well because all of the planet/side quests are completely different than the republic side.
  7. Ever heard of helping yourself? EA is banking on people like you. It's why packs like this make so much money. Learn to control yourself.
  8. At the time, the cheapest one was being sold for like 2,750,000. So, I'm not really sure what the poster was going for. Personally, when I have a big money item, I like triple check the amount before clicking post and then I even search to make sure it shows up where it's supposed to, haha.
  9. Honestly, I was in such a hurry to purchase it and then obtain it via mail (thinking all the while I'd get the dreaded "bid returned" response) that I didn't even notice who was selling it.
  10. The most I ever gained by buying and selling before that was back when the Thrones were selling for 3 Million or so each. I bought one off the GTN for 1.2 Million and resold it for like 2.9. Other wise, I've had tons of times were weapons and adaptive gear was posted for next to nothing that I'd buy and resale. Most of those transactions only amount to 10K-200K though.
  11. Honestly, I can't believe people are spending 2+ Million for dyes. I love the black on black dye too, but once you use it, it's gone. It would be different if it were removable, so you could keep it forever (like with crystals).
  12. Yes, 5,000 credits. I promptly reposted it for 2.3 Million credits and less than a day later, I'm 2.25 million credits richer. What amazing finds like this have you found on the GTN?
  13. Training dummies are useful at all levels. Especially when trying to master a new spec or tinkering with your rotation. If I'm trying to tank for the first time at level 40, would you rather me work out my rotation on my ship or in a FP with you? Also, I realize the capital worlds have different levels of dummies and since 2.1, that's were I go, but it's still a bad change. Legacy unlocks are supposed to be convenience awards, but the usefulness of these are all but gone.
  14. With adaptive gear and dye, you can make any character look pretty much anyway you want them to. I don't see the problem.
  15. Honestly, I wouldn't care if 50K people thought the developers were fat and ugly and wanted to post about it all day long.... as long as it was kept in one thread. It's annoying that the only threads that ever get attention here are whine threads and on top of that, because there are a bajillion of them, that's all anyone ever sees.
  16. See what I meant about them blowing everything out of proportion? This guy seems to believe that more mods = less game content. I mean...for serious?
  17. Condensing/locking redundant threads =/= falsifying what people are saying.
  18. Honestly, TOR likely has the most whiney/entitled forum base out there. Everything they dislike is blown up like it's the end of the world.
  19. Yep. We really don't need a new thread complaining about the same issues every 4 or 5 minutes. It's crazy.
  20. At least you can make the Cats look hard and gritty. Panda's look fat, cuddly and cartoonish regardless.
  21. Also, chicken littles, and Richard Lewis'
  22. I had enough CC (1400) to unlock the Cathar and change my current Commando (level 25), so I did that instead. I already have all 16 ACs (ranging from 15-55), so making a new character really wasn't an option. Now I just need those character name changes on the GTN to lower in cost. What name do you guys think would fit my Catmando? I'm thinking Pänthro...
