You people are insane, you're getting gear (possibly endgame gear) for doing something as mundane as dailys (which is all i do btw) and still ***** about it. Astounding.

We got a response with a eta on a fix - good enough, though talking of restarts i have feeling this game could do with more regular restarts but i guess the cost is high? There are MMO's that do server restarts on a regualar basis (think EvE does everyday?) & those restarts seem to quash most issues.

Spot on OP - though Bioware tend to have adopted head in sand policy for actual game breaking issues and too busy sucking off a more vocal crowd.

This is a well thought idea - i love the scope of it, sadly no developer wants to do this, the effort to change this game into something segmented like that would be too much work, they can just milk the players with what they have for the moment and keep throwing fluff content at a whim.

looking at server locations i guess this isnt a local issue - ah well, I had my PvP gameface on & everthing.

just restarted my pc and another application launched when i started the swtor launcher (bit raider i assume) said something along the lines of "could not initalize with external UI" but still allowed me to launch. I guess they just realised a patch or a quick fix?

as the title says, came home booted swtor - goes to the splash screen and keeps loading for (longest i waited) 15 mins, the sound starts then cuts off after 20 secs. Anyone have the same issue? more importantly know of a workaround?

Cmon man, while I agree a lot of other games seem to pull of group content better than this, you know it needs to be a staple for a game which advertises itself as an MMO. (lets not get into the semantics of this) Group content/challenging content which requires some sort of skill which lead to exclusive rewards will always motivate people to play on in the hopes that they get to do this.

So i complete the storyline - then hit unsubscribe, am I doing this right?

The Kinght Errant books showed how things were because somewhere down the line the sith pull off a big win , republic lockdown what they can & go into isolation - tech goes downhill fast. **However with the new SW lore this has all been disregarded

As the title says, i have sent out a few invites to some friends & they interested in starting up, now while these guys turn their nose up at subs, they blow stupid amounts of money on things like LoL skins. (cosmetic purchases) When they are up and running, without going "omg sub its the best" what initial cartel packs should i recommend & how would they achieve this "preferred status" which seems to be a step down from being sub based?

Hi people, I ve got to that stage of altcohisim where i feel the urge to start afresh with no main characters supplying me with credits, where my eventual level 20 toon will be still be pretty ghetto instead of having a stupidly powerful gear. I would like to start this venture off on the Progenitor & would love to do the whole level with a group thing. I am usually online from 19:00 GMT to 23:30GMT Monday to Thursday. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but could we take an idea of wow's hunter class and implement it for mercs/commandos - Looking at the combat cylinder/cell as the same as the wow hunters aspects, make one based off aspect of the fox i dont know call it Ardrenaline injector or something, make it a 15% dmg reduction on all abilities but remove the need to stand still for any ability with a cast time/channel. So you kite a chap till they use all their leaps and charges, while still doing moderate dmg, get some distance and switch to the Arp cell and do full dmg. This wont affect pve as the dmg reduction will only apply while using that cylinder so no need to worry about being shafted cause of that.

Hmm but from what you are saying - buffing this class to be identical to PT, what will we lose for that damage? Reason i ask is Bioware wouldnt let this class have it all (strong consitent dmg, high dmg bursts with short cd's & off healing when needed) A mobilty buff (something like WoW disengage), even something like a flashbang aoe cc would give said commando/merc options - while this high burst scenario would leave them borderline op & susceptible to nerfs.

How useful will more damage be if said merc is never in a position to use it?

Nice video man - never got into playing a melee class (in this game) yet but i can deff see the appeal. Also great music choice, left me wanting to play EVE online for some reason tho.

Look at this poor guy Bioware, LOOK AT HIM! look at what no dual spec has done to him, he...I shall name him dave for the purpose of this post, Dave doesnt need this **** when he just wants to have a quick game, kill/heal/protect things in a game & call it a day. Yet he doesnt have the chance to do that instead he is lumbered with the responsibility of taking the blame for your SELFISH actions Bioware! Please think of what your doing Bioware, add dual spec... because Dave deserves better.

Will there be free stuff? Maybe, I am still pissed that i missed the EVE meetup a few weeks back.
