  1. Armstech is the only crew skill whose schematics (purchased with Basic Comm's) are BoP, what gives? Not to mention they are horrible Offhands to begin with that mostly can only be used by Companions... Every other Crew Skill's Schem's are BoE and can be sold on the GTN. At a minimum PLEASE make the Armstech schematics BoE. Thank You.
  2. For Open World PvP I almost always use Talos for heals. I do spend alot of time on Belsavis farming materials for crafting and resale on GTN. Since I am in Fully Augmented War Hero gear and easily kill any pubs I come across while farming, I like to keep Andronikos out for Ranged DPS to keep the pubs from escaping >
  3. ^This, remove the class requirement. If you obtain orange legacy gear on a character, any companion of yours or of your alts who have the mainstat that the gear was intended for SHOULD BE ABLE TO EQUIP IT. I have an IA and an Inquisitor. I want my IA's (willpower) companion to wear the inquisitor legacy gear and I wont my Inquisitors (cunning) companion to wear the IA's legacy gear. As of now, no companions can wear the orange legacy gear period.
  4. You are talking about Inheritance/Birthright Gear. I am talking about the empty Orange Shell Set of Legacy gear. It has no stats just the shell, there are 2 different sets one set is purchasable at legacy level 10 the other purchasable at legacy level 20.
  5. I disagree: I mainly pvp (valor 83), the tioneses crystals helped me round out my pve set (assassin-stalker)and also I was able to get the 2nd pve (assassin-force mystic) set for my class. Additionally, I am only 2 pieces shy of the tank set. Yes, the stats are garbage, but I I replace the mods/armoring/enhancements and have full rakata with set bonus (only tionese color). Also it can be helpful for gearing companions.
  6. Customer Service told me to post this here so I am... I spent nearly a million credits on my inquisitor to buy all 7 slots of Inquisitor legacy gear and filled them with all my lvl 49+ Willpower mods with the intention of gearing my fresh 50 Operative alt's companion Vector (DPS using willpower). Also the Role Playing side of me was to pretend my MAIN inquisitor was questing with my Operative as they are allies in my Family Tree. So imagine my dismay when I mail the gear filled with mods to my Operative to put on Vector and am told only a Sith Inquitior can use it. As a result I then had to pay the extraction costs for all my mods to take them out of the legacy gear and then buy 7 slots of orange gear for Vector to be able to use my inquisitors old mods. All in all this whole snafu costs me around 1.5M credits. I never would have bought the entire set of legacy gear had I known this. IF ALL LEGACY GEAR is only usable by the main character purchasing it, then why even make it bound to legacy?! (Yes, obviously if you've been paying attention I know the main benefit is transferring mods to alts.) I mean seriously its not like most people roll 2 of the same class on the same faction. I want to be able to put Inquisitor legacy gear on my Alt companions whose mainstat is willpower and I want to be able to use Imperial Agent Legacy gear on alt companions whose mainstat is cunning. BioWare PLEASE PLEASE allow companions to wear legacy gear!! My fellow SWTOR players please /sign if you would like to see this implemented!
  7. yeah I get streaky with UT and Slicing also. I will have severaldays of getting like 1 crit on 15 missions. Then all of a sudden I have a day or 2 where every other mission is giving me exactly what i want. I have a lot of ups and downs
  8. I have made and continue to make hella cash from (Cybertech) Spaceship Upgrades and Earpieces. I dont bother with the Armor/Mods except for giving to companions and alts (material costs are too high). I sell purple ship upgrades on the regular for 50K each. Costs me about 8 - 10K to make and I spent decent amount of time learning purple schematics for all 4 mainstats on earpieces covering levels 26, 34, 43 and 49 selling Endowment/Expert/Veractity/Rampart Earpieces. I charge 50K each for the level 49's, 42 - 45K each for level 43's and 28 - 32K each for level 34's and 22 - 25k each for 26's. they sell regularly and Im making hella profit. Crafting offer very little in endgame unless your Biochem. I think the main purpose for crafting is alts, money making/money saving. I can tell you that I have never farmed dailies for credits and THAT is what i love about crafting. I am not somebody that can do the same mission over and over again day after day. And I feel no need to switch to Biochem because I have so much money I am able to buy all the Stim's and Adrenals I need from Biochem Crafters. Everybody has the ability to use what Biochem uses @ Endgame the benefit of being Biochem is they save credits by not having it be a consumable. Correct me if im wrong but I think Biochems reusable's are on a 3 minute cooldown as opposed to the same consumable which is on a 1.5 minute cooldown?
  9. Sentinels DPS when played right are beastly indeed. However, you definately cannot compare Assassins to Snipers and Mauraders those are pure DPS AC's. Any AC that offers only one option (DPS in this case) for all 3 tree's should perform the best for that function. The game is still very young its not to late to roll a class you would rather play with... Or just go madness and you will do better in PvE. Deception is definately Beast in PvP and perfectly viable in PvE. But it's not Beast in PvE. The opposite is true for Madness IMO.
  10. Like someone said before there are pro's and con's to both. Frankly, I am growing tired of hearing people complain about a "PvP grind". This PvP grind is virtually non-existant unless you are grinding War Hero right now before ranked Warzones are implemented due to having to convert WZ comms. The difference between War Hero and Battlemaster is MINIMAL. As the community seems to agree it is not difficult to get full BM in a week. If you cant deal with getting your butt kicked for a week before playing on an even level then I am surprised you play MMO's at all. The QQ'ing has never been louder and it has never been easier to get battlemaster. And honestly as a voice of reason I still had fun PvP'ing when I first became 50 and I was grinding Gear Bags which took ALOT longer to gear up. PvP is all about adapting, when PvP actually was grinding for gear I still managed to be a positive force on my team (be the turret defender on alderaan), Kite players away from objective points and help finish off players with low health in a group fight and focus on getting into a good passing position in Huttball. If you have protection get out of LoS and SPAM the Hell out of it---that is a great help to your team and you dont need gear to do it and Help with Stuns. All of the above is fun and very helpful to the team. Stop expecting to do what you did and play the same way as levels 40 - 49. Believe it or not that week or so of getting your *** kicked WILL make you a better player and LETS BE HONEST. 50 PvP requires far more skill and tactics as a tea, to be successfull then the low brackets typical everyman just try to smash who is in front of you.
  11. Crafting is not pointless. There are in fact at least 2 POINT's for crafting: 1) Make money reselling goods (I dont know of any rich players with a few million credits that did it without crafting being a main source of income). 2) To provide your player with goods he may not be able to get so easily while LEVELING.
  12. LMAO I hope this was a joke. Did you see the video? That video is the worst op healing I have ever seen!! BY FAR!
  13. How are you having problems leveling if you finished your story quest? If you beat Thanaton and the assassin before him in Correlia how are you struggling with planet side quests?
  14. I kick *** on a Deception in PvP and PvE, it is not an easy class to master and play effectively in PvP however PvE is much simpler since you will pretty much be using VSx2 Shock, Discharge, Maul when duplicity procs all day. That being said I downed Eternity Vault and KP Hardmodes the other night with no DPS problems and did it in Battlemaster Gear. I wasnt running DPS meters so I dont know what my numbers are, but I do know we had no wipes on EV and only 1 on KP on final boss. Some encounters are harder for melee dps because of boss mechanics. The biggest challenge for deception in PvE is not DPS its survivability and I overcome that with a 41+ Endurance crystal in my saber and a Hyperbattle Fortitude Stim + having the "Exceptional" (3,000 - 3,650 HP) Medpacks available. So what if my sustained DPS is lower on the meter (its supposed to be your playing a burst class) it hasn't stopped me or my raid from efficiently downing content and getting gear *SHRUG*
  15. We have several (Dark Embrace) Lead-In with Stealth, 6 seconds later hit Blackout, 6 seconds later Cloak. Thats 18 seconds of 50% regen increase and blackout will be up again in 40 seconds. Anything more than this would come close to even having to manage force resource
  16. Do expertise stats factor into Open World PvP combat encounters? Or is it only relative in Warzones? If so, my companions have expertise on their gear as well, do they benefit from the damage boost/reduction/healing increases afforded by Expertise during a PvP encounter?
  17. Whats comical about that post is BW could do everything he wants done, and people (OP included) will complain about a whole new set of problems...
  18. Well you cant have everything, I see Cybertech as the moneymaking skill. Ive never farmed dailies for credits, because i have made several million from crafting and selling earpieces/ship parts on the auction house. The reusable grenades are useful in PvP at 50, as useful as reusable adrenals? No. But I have so many credits that buying those is nothing to me. I sell purple ship parts for 50,000/ea and it probably costs me about 8,000/ea and they sell pretty damn well. I also sell about 15 differeant purple earpieces at a time up and down the level 26 - 49 spectrum. Level 49 Endowment (cunning) sells regularly for 50,000 and sell several level 47, 43, for cunning, aim and willpower for 42,000/ea. The key to cybertech is obtaining a nice amount of purple recipes for earpieces across the entire leveling spectrum and doing so for each main stat to increase your market penetration Droid parts dont sell at all on my sever, and unless your making lvl (56) or (61) mods, Mods and Armor are not moneymakers either. However, it is useful in leveling alts.
  19. I have a DPS and I have a Healer. Am I the only person in the world, that thinks just because you play a healer you shouldn't be unkillable by one DPS? I have faced numerous one on one situations in PvP with both characters and this is my view: When I play DPS sometimes I kill a healer 1v1 and sometimes I just cant! I have found that it revolves around the skill level of the healer I am attacking and the my own personal skill level. If I am not making the best use of my abilities and stuns or lacking resources or cooldowns I struggle and cant kill'em. I also play against the same healer(s) enough to see them have ups and downs. I have found the same to be true on my healer character. It mostly comes down to whether I am playing optimally or not versus how well the attacker is playing. EVERY single class in this game is viable, period.
  20. Is there any point in saving green armor I really like the looks of; in hopes of being able to one day turn it into an orange?
  21. I am surprised nobody has mentioned a Deception/Infiltration spec'd Assassin/Shadow. I just rolled an Operative only level 14 now and have to agree with the comments concerning Imperial Agent. However, let me make a few comments about Deception/Infiltration specifically (from a PvP perspective)... Go to the forums and in-game NOBODY wants to play these spec's because there "Squishy" so they spec Darkness/Kinetic Combat or they don't do high enough damage #'s so they spec Madness/Balance... My main is a valor 68 Deception Assassin so I will offer my thoughts in that view. We are spec'd for Burst, but we only have true burst when our 1:30 (1:15 set bonus) CD is up or an enemy is less than 30% and when our CD is up even that is not good enough to take down a healer unless we properly time 2 - 3 interrupts to stop them from healing through it. Not to mention our most damaging moves require execution of previous moves to get situational proc's that are necessary for burst and force cost management to continue a burst sequence. As far as I know Force at least compared to an IA's Energy resource (& Darkness/Madness) is far more difficult to manage for DECEPTION/INFILTRATION. We have the least amount of armor of any class and have to also be selective of our targets. The amount of situational awareness necessary to play this spec effectively is ridiculous. I love it though because it is challenging and hardly anybody play's it. This spec is completely UNFORGIVING, you have bring your "A-game" FTW in each encounter, because your "B-game" or less will result in annihilation/absolute frustration.
  22. I make my own buff cocktail of Hyberbattle Fortitude Stim + available medpacks. Throw-on the Bounty Hunter buff and I PvP with just under 18,000 HP no bounty hunter buff ~17,500 Plus medpacks to heal in combat 3,000 - 3,750 you will find yourself not so squishy. If you get some heals during combat too all the better. Hyperbattle Fortitude Stim + medpacks FTW
  23. What's your point? Your statements are correct, but you draw no conclusions. Are you arguing for No Server Mergers? The active players you refer to who play several hours a day. Are your Crossing Guards at the "Crossroads" who observe the traffic trends. I am one of those active players and can tell you I went from consistently seeing 90 - 130+ during primtime on the fleet and for the last 2 months have been excited to see 40 - 50 players on the fleet during primtime. I have yet to be able to run an Operation or Flashpoint after BP/Foundry due to inability to find players. During the hay-days of 90 - 130+ on the fleet it may not have always been EASY to get a group together for a Flashpoint, but it certainly wasn't impossible. If populations are low enough that doing PvE group content becomes next to impossible that you cant gear up alts on the GTN server merges must happen! I don't care if I have to change character names/legacy name, guild breaks up etc, etc... or if servers will be down for a week. Whatever it takes do it!
  24. I hope Bioware is aware of perception management. Because if players see populations declining to unacceptable levels which is unique from server to server. Players will begin to perpetually unsubscribe. All my server does is Warzones because it is impossible to get an Operations Group together. I haven't even been able to do a Fashpoint since BP/The Foundry! I am missing out on a ton of content because the IMPERIAL fleet is averaging 25 - 45 players during primetime. Server Merges are more important to the player base than any new content or bug fixes at this point in time. I think allowing character transfers before sever mergers will lead to even great population imbalances between servers.
