  1. By "nameplate" I do not mean "operations unit frame". I mean "the name and health bar floating a foot above a player's head", which you cannot click on to target (notably quite unlike every other MMO).
  2. Ah yes, the oh-so-convenient 'home' and 'end' keybinds that you CAN"T ACTUALLY REBIND TO (for example) ALT OR SHIFT. Awesome.
  3. Bump-slash-necro for my unyielding hatred of the awfulness of tab-target. Seriously--how is it SO BAD. It's not even a question of adapting to a different system (though a system in which tab prioritizes targets IN FRONT OF YOU would be nice), it's that the existing tab system just feels bafflingly random and unintuitive.
  4. This is the main reason I stopped playing the space combat missions. Mindblowing incompetence that you can't keybind independently. It's almost as if the game was designed by keyboard turning clickers
  5. From the character select screen, it enrages me that I can't hit "enter" to select a character and load into the world, and instead have to double-click on the character portrait or click on 'play'
  6. Are you going to improve the targeting system? Tab-target ("target next enemy") behaves completely un-intuitively, and often selects targets behind you instead of in front of you. It's very difficult to manually click-target someone because of how the targeting hitboxes are, and because you can't target by nameplate/healthbar.
  7. I enjoy discussing things that don't exist in threads that don't have new information.
  8. Oh? What's that you say, enough Republic are actually in Ilum to be able to get some kills and maybe completely my weekly? Why I"ll just take the shuttle directly there and help my brethren out! It sure was nice of BioWare to take a page out of WoW's Wintergrasp mechanics by burrowing the idea for an instant port right into the battle area, instead of having to run from the fleet to my ship, use the nav console to go to Ilum, load into the planet, go through an airlock, go through an orbital station, take the shuttle down, and then take a 5 minute speeder ride over to the PvP area! That would be such an annoyance, after all...and it would probably make Ilum less popular, simply because it takes so long to get to! Yup, it's a good thing that there's this direct shuttle now so I can just get right to the battle....
  9. I keep ctrl-F5'ing the main community page to see if it's there, too =(
  10. Whatever. They're *********** spells. Deal with it. Bonus: Some force abilities are actually called Sith Magic
  11. Dark V Sage here. Going full darkside on every class quest makes the story really really *********** silly. Basically, every jedi you see dies. So the Republic is down like 15 or something of their top Jedi Masters if you go Dark compared to Light. It pretty much completely ruins the credibility of the character. But on the other hand, killing people is kinda fun?
  12. I think that healing in general is probably too powerful in WZ, especially because (for players of equal gear) expertise washes out in terms of damage done vs damage taken...except that expertise also benefits healing. So at the end of the day, healers ~10%+ more effective (with champion level gear) than their equally geared DPS or Tank counterparts.
  13. I would do very bad things for WoW's macro system in this game, especially as a healer. Mouseovers are just so much more natural feeling, in addition to being faster and more reliable. Harm-vs-help contexts would help cut down on so much of the ability bloat, especially for hybrid classes. Hell, even modifier macros would be amazing, for things like self-target and focus-target. All of these, obviously, are what any serious, competitive player should expect from an MMO to begin with.
  14. Perhaps it hasn't occurred to you that (a) Blizzard actually knows what they're doing (b) 64-bit clients vs 32-bit isn't as bad as you make it out to be © they're investing in technology for their next MMO (Project Titan) to be natively 64-bit from the beginning. Oh, and Vista wasn't bad because it was 64-bit, anyways.
  15. Target of Target will help in some ways. It would fix or alleviate the problem with tab-target, though. Or the inability to target by clicking on nameplates/healthbars above character's heads.
  16. I just wish they were remove some of the ridiculous animation-based delays...changes which should be very simple. The most notable to me (as a Sage) is Force Wave // Overload, which has a second-long cast time (despite being an "instant" cast) that can be interrupted by other people's stuns and knockbacks. It's *********** stupid.
  17. Cause more than any other ability in the game, I find myself raging hardest at seeing 20 people (plus myself) all simultaneously knocked down and stunned in Ilum. I'm not even saying it's overpowered, it's just annoying and rage-inducing... Which classes have that, anyway?
  18. I'm not sure I've ever really had target next enemy target a party member.... Nonetheless, tab-target in PvE for DPS classes is still a very problematic in this game. It's not quite as bad as tab-target in PvP, simply because stuff moves a little more deterministically and generally has bigger targeting 'hitboxes', but it's still an issue that needs to be fixed.
  19. You know what would decrease the number of buttons? WoW's Macro system. Specifically, [harm] vs [help] contexts and [modifier] contexts.
  20. This. Resolve bar as all-or-nothing instead of diminishing returns is an awful design
  21. Yeah, totally agree. But the targeting should be a much easier 'fix' than an entire engine, right ?
  22. It sounds like you've somehow managed to always hit "tab" (target nearest enemy, the worst-implemented targeting function I've ever seen in any game ever) when you force leap.
