  1. This has always been the case. And since the gtn on my server NEVER has electrum, I made an alt with scavenging just so i could send it to my main. Augments are not that big a deal to me since the gtn is typically well stocked.
  2. Same here. Is this a bug or working as intended? If a bug, please fix. If intended, please get new intentions. There is no reason to have set bonuses stick to some armorings and not others.
  3. Your second point is a good one. I showed up on the winning side of a 5-0 Huttball and yelled Dont score, I just got here! But we did score and I got full rewards because the team won quickly. Nice for me but very stupid mechanics. I probably still won't quit because of the play 10 and play 50 daily and weekly quests, but i will go "defend" our one cap point a lot earlier now and I bet a lot of other players will too.
  4. -Space dailies -Nar Shadaa Bonus series - oddly opens up at level 31ish for some reason. You have to go back there to do it. -pvp grind ( ) Make sure to log out in a rest area: your ship, cantina, fleet. You will get rest xp and get double xp for killing mobs.
  5. An easy solution would be to cap the number of champion commendations you can have at 300, like they did with WZ and merc comms at 1000 That said, I do agree that the number for tradein needs to be a lot higher, like 200. Yes i really did rez this thread. This system is really annoying to me
  6. If you want to transfer you have to accept that your name may be taken. I think everyone understands this and it is a small price to pay for getting to play on a server that is actually populated. I have a level 50 parked on a low pop server just waiting for transfers. My plan is to transfer him to my heavier server asap and I actually hope I can change his name. I want it to be a variation on the name I am using in my new guild. If not, oh well. Trust me, people are chomping at the bit for transfers, and will gladly accept minor inconveniences in exchange for avoiding the major inconvenience of having to reroll. I also think most of us would gladly pay a reasonable fee for the priviledge. (Mergers are another issue entirely. On the one hand, naming issues are much more complicated. On the other hand, just allowing transfers can strand reluctant players on a severely underpopulated server, all but forcing them to transfer too)
  7. To your first question: Good question. This happens when queue pops and people opt out or when the queue pop expires on afkers. I have joined 8v3 matches. This is honestly very easy to remedy and /yell NO RANKED WZ SHOULD START WITH LESS THAN 16 PLAYERS (did you hear me BW?) To your second question: if it bothers you, queue premade with a good mix. Otherwise just remember it can happen to the other side just as easily. I am also curious about what happens when you queue a group of 5. Is it filled out with a group of 3 or three scrubs?
  8. I have mixed feelings about giving up in gotta-3-cap situations but sometimes prefer to do so. It really bugs me when we are down 400-190 and someone caps mid and the other team turtles at right. Long, slow loss. Ugh. ( needing mid for the three cap is slightly different becaus of the longer speeder ride and you should still try! ) Huttball is different. The time investment of trying to score a goal is pretty minimal especially against a good team that has you 5-0. Voidstar is getting fixed, thankfully. Ultimately I feel the problem is how well we are rewarded for losing. You get way better rewards for losing quickly than for winning slowly. According to some.
  9. I didn't read all the posts but I do want to point out that server mergers will not satisfy many of us. Right now I have a level 50 parked on a low pop server. Once the pop really tanked I took the time to find a better server and rolled there. Now I'm in a guild, have an alt, etc. THIS is the server I want my parked 50 moving to. And I would gladly pay a reasonable fee for the priviledge.
  10. You are still giving too much free resolve out, period, end of story. A lot of top players don't even spec into Force Clap for this reason. I think all we really want is for the devs to come out and say, "Oops, sorry, we goofed, this is a case of unintended consequences" OR "This was an intentional nerf"
  11. I think a lot of players feel there is too much cc across the board. Unless you are trying to plant a voidstar bomb or prevent a huttball score, in which case there is not enough. Losing control of your character is not fun, but neither is being interrupted by the guy you just killed. The real question is whether the players who want less cc are generally mediocre or if good players are proportionally represented in the group that want less cc. And i honestly don't have a guess.
  12. are you saying you've done D7 without it bugging? Lucky! Also I agree it is lame that set bonuses on my current stuff won't carry over when I want to put the mods in my orange set. I am getting the mats and schematics ready to start crit crafting oranges now. Kind of a silly decision bioware since I think a lot of players want to customize their look but will ultimately choose the set bonus instead. Is there tricky coding involved or this an intentional ploy to get us to spend playtime grinding new gear?
  13. Indeed, they say WZ rewards will be reduced for players who get few or no medals. Not very specific, I wonder what the threshold is.

I tried to compile all the pvp gear progression changes in the hopes of understanding them better. I'm still not really sure. It looks like you really need to save up 2000 WZ comms (and maybe the merc ones as well) for when you hit 50, since the Champion bags are getting totally deprecated. You can snag a BM ear piece and implants right away and pay for the entry-level set. It also looks like there is no way to get Centurion and Champion gear; I wonder if they are getting removed from the game? Since you can't get BM gear until valor 60 it looks like you will have to play rated zones to get the new War Hero stuff. The alternative, as it has always been, is to use PVE gear instead. Please feel free to correct errors in reasoning. Hopefully this will get us ahead of the curve in understanding the new changes. That Guide for Fresh 50s thread will need to be updated asap as it was very useful.
  15. Came into the pvp forum to ask about champ bags and what do I see: everyone raging that a class is being nerfed: why? because they play that class. Honestly people, the changes look pretty subtle to me. It looks a lot more like a balance adjustment to me than the "big rebalance" they were talking about. Chill out and a remember that the changes affect both sides of a match equally.
  16. This happens to me a lot. I think it's people who forgot they were queued and clicked cancel when it popped. I sometimes feel guilty when I click cancel, even in the middle of a boss fight, because I know I might be gimping up to 7 other people. There is a very easy solution: +30 seconds to the begin WZ timer if someone drops their queue. Also, I to the OP, I must remind you that people are idiots. Most of the time, if you play 10 WZs for the Ilum daily, odds are 3 of those will be wins, even on a tough server. And by the time it's clear you can't win, is it really that a big of a deal to stick it out for your loss rewards? No.
  17. Ive used force push to do something similar when the opposing team was deliberately trying to prolong a really one-sided match. Wouldn't have done it if it wasn't 5-0 and the sorc just standing there.

    Best post of the thread by far. Different resolve mechanics for different classes. /issue Also want to agree full resolve needs to be extended another couple of seconds. It is too easy to slam someone with yet another cc the second you notice their resolve meter budge.
  19. Yeah I am mostly just annoyed at them for making the WZ speed buff and Force Speed the same amount. If the buff was 200% you could have plenty of 1 way jumps I think the gap should be crossable in both directions by all available means EXCEPT unassisted force speed jump. Why? Because it is just so lame and game over when it gets pulled off. You just should not have a whole warzone hinging on one class being able to jump one gap.
  20. Then I will explain. In most of those cases, there was someone on either side. If I leap to you as an attacker it's a 1v1 and you have a chance. But consulars/inqs can get there all by themselves with all the defenders stuck on the other side or behind the spawn door. And that's exactly what some folks are doing: typing /stuck to respawn as soon as the first door goes. You should never have to do that in a well-designed WZ. It was a nifty idea to allow defenders back across but the attacking team speed jump is clearly a mistake. Hint, Bioware: just raise the platform on the defending side by 1 meter.
  21. Are you serious? Do you want no one to PVP? Do you want to exacerbate the faction imbalance? All this will do is encourage people to only go looking for open world PVP when they have a giant Zerg behind them. And now a big Thank You to Professor Walsh who did an awesome job layout out the issues with PVP and what good PVP looks like (hint: not everyone had played Dark Age of Camelot or knows what daoc stands for). By far the best post in this thread and filled with the most interesting suggestions. They may borrow heavily from another game but why fix what isn't broken? This post should be required reading for all the devs.
  22. I had no idea that was how that worked. I've only left one warzone, just to see what happens, and I probably entered it from the fleet. Know what else I've seen: people popping the warzone queue in hopes of getting out of a losing battle when you interrupt their armament farming on Ilum. To be honest my own queue popped in the middle of a 1v1 fight. I was doing okay and watching the timer, then another imp arrived, cced me, so I just hit join!
  23. I used to be a fan of holding the 2 sides. This is back when i was dying a lot! It's so easy to take the speeder to the side that needs help. But if you don't die and need to get all the way to the other side quickly, that can be a problem. Mid and 1 side gives you the best ability to respond to the enemy's attempts to retake a turret.
  24. As vast as the swtor database is, I'm sure there's room for another column: received_Champ_BM_tokens. I mean, sheesh! You should never get duplicates (except for the implant token, obviously). That is totally unacceptable. Chance for a token is bad enough without getting a useless one to boot. Getting a token that matches gear you've purchased is another matter. But I would be rather annoyed if I got a token I didn't need.
