  1. I would love to change my Merc to a Powertech, and I figured this out around like 26 (I'm 29 right now IIRC) so I can't really go back at this point. I would really like a one time only per character of switching your advanced class. I don't see any downside to this, and it will only make people happier.
  2. We can hope that they will do this, but you never know. I really hope they do, and they should.
  3. Nope, not buying anything anymore. I was funding the crafters, but I have to save and just settle for gear with my commendations/flashpoints. Still waiting, Bioware...
  4. Indeed, this has always been a profitable way to make money with slicing. The problem is that people have less money to buy them with the slicing nerfs, and that is the ONLY way to make a profit with slicing. Slicing still needs its nerf % reduced by quite a bit to remain viable as a profession.
  5. THIS. Slicing NEEDED A NERF. Bioware nerfed it TOO MUCH. The nerf was something ridiculous like 70%, and it completely obliterated the profession as viable. Slicing is only valuable if you want to waste time and lose money doing it.
  6. Its useless right now.... They overnerfed it, and they need to fix it.
  7. You guys defending this nerf are pathetic. Its obvious that it went too far. Even on the best missions you barely make any profit, if at all, and most of the time you lose money.
  8. We all know that Slicing was overnerfed by A LOT, and we need a statement by Bioware acknowledging this.
  9. The nerf was really 70%? I can't believe Bioware would be that careless in doing this. Slicing definitely is useless. I hope for a hotfix, but would be more than content for this to be fixed in next week's patch. Please give us some information, Bioware.
  10. Did two more tests. Two abundant and two Rich yield mission. 27-33 minutes and all 2-2.2k in cost. One failed, two had an overall profit of 600 credits, and one lost me 400 credits. I'm just losing money at this point. Doing slicing missions are taking money away. Its clear that Bioware overdid the adjustment that was about 25% to 30% more than what it needed to be. I really hope they realize this.
  11. Why are you people defending a nerf that made Slicing entirely useless? Please answer this question. It wasn't an adjustment that made it balanced, it made it so that you lose money or don't make any profit the majority of the time.
  12. I am only choosing Bountiful/Rich Yield missions. bro. Simply put, there is not enough profit when you factor in that 1/3 of the time your mission just fails, 1/3 of the time you just lose money, and then 1/3 of the time you get a profit that is not very large. That doesn't count the rare critical proc, however. The above is not acceptable when I am investing 30 minutes in one mission.
  13. I just ran another two missions, both 27-30 minute missions. They both costed me roughly 2k to start. One failed, the other jeweled lockbox gave me 1600 credits. Its just absolutely useless right now. I am losing money doing these missions.
  14. THIS. You anti-slicing people need to stop and think what this change did. It didn't just nerf Slicing into balance, it made it USELESS. I am not arguing that Slicing should be brought back to its pre-nerf power. I am saying that the amount it was nerfed by was too much. Reduce the nerfed % by half, and we can go from there. Its unfathomable to me how you people can say that Slicing is fine now and the nerf was good. Whenever you make a profession entirely useless, you did something wrong.
  15. Slicing is absolutely useless right now. I feared this the moment I picked up slicing and noticed how many credits I was getting proportional to the amount of effort I used in getting said currency. I have been running slicing missions all day, well over a dozen of max level 50 ones (My character is level 26, I have around 345 slicing) and I have lost money. Half the time you lose money just in general, others your mission just outright fails, and then sometimes you get a profit of not very much unless you get a critical proc. I realized that it needed a nerf, but not as drastic as this. Cut the reduction that was implemented in this patch in half, and I think it will be fine. I've seen 50% thrown around, which seems somewhat accurate, so a 25% or 20% reduction would be a good place to start.
