  1. >Nobody hitting you >Allowed to attack without any pressure whatsoever >You did damage >Congratulations. Same thing with the Tracer Missile video - nobody touches him the entire time.
  2. Pretty much all that needs to be said. Gabe Jiggalo has proven that he is a complete moron with WAR, I don't need him to ruin another game to realize that.
  3. >implying you can't do better with any other DPS class out there. We are fine in a vacuum. When looked at compared to the other classes in all but a few very specific situations, we are less than exceptional. We are useless as of the last nerf to appease the baddies. My sub is running out tomorrow due to this and me getting 1-30 FPS all the time, even when just running around. 8GB DDR2+ RAM, Radeon 2GB 6870, Phenom 955 BE @ 3.25 GHZ, etc etc. I'll be back once this is fixed unless DMO releases (Q1 2013 presumably)
  4. I don't even play Sentinel or Marauder, but I do know that they are far and ahead the most complicated and difficult class to play to its full potential.
  5. It doesn't matter if they kept tagging it to deny it to them - they don't want them getting an advantage over them. Like, seriously, its a PVP server. If you don't want to PVP, don't roll a character on a PVP server. This can't happen on a PVE server, so go on one. If the Republic couldn't kill the Empire players WHILE they had the world boss on them as well, then they don't deserve to kill the world boss on a PVP server. Kill the players, then kill the world boss.
  6. Sounds like a bunch of ******** to me. If you don't want to PVP and be harassed in the OPEN WORLD, don't go on a PLAYER-VERSUS-PLAYER server. That's the exact distinction between a PVE and a PVP server. PVE is for those who want to choose when to PVP when they are questing our just running around, PVP is for those who want it all the time. This happened all the time when I played WoW when it first came out on PVP servers - Blizzard did nothing, rightfully so. The faction who eventually killed the world boss demon in Blasted Lands was the one who had won the fight and driven off the other faction.
  7. EA rushed the game to be released several months ahead of time so they could milk the extra sales they could get if it was released around Christmas time. EA did the same thing to Warhammer Online so it could be released in tandem with WOTLK. The PvP team at Warhammer Online was full of *********** morons - they redid endgame PvP around 7 times and made it worse every single time. The lead man for that, Gabe Jiggalo is here now. Play the game for the story and leveling - the part Bioware does well.
  8. >Gabe was PVP designer for Warhammer. >PVP for Warhammer was *********** terrible, remade endgame PVP 7 times - got worse every time. >Warhammer had the most potential of any recent MMO, EA rushing the game to arrive in tandem with WOTLK and incompetent developers at Mythic ****ed it up. >**** Gabe.
  9. Enjoyment? That is kind of the point of the entire game...
  10. This. If you are an Operative or Scoundrel, you aren't using Charged Burst or Snipe to do maximum damage regardless if you are Lethality or Concealment. Morons will just say "We both pay $15, i do wut i wunt", but they are the reason games die and are the same people that cry for nerfs all over the forums.
  11. One of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I don't even like WoW, but OP is clearly a 12 year old looking for attention and people to agree with him.
  12. Cover is buggy. Abilities in cover have delay at points, including when going in and out of cover.
  13. I believe you are talking about this class called the Sorcerer/Sage. They do everything exceptionally well, and have no downsides.
  14. Is mentioned in every thread. The trolls post their uber damage in a warzone to disregard it, proving their morons. Operatives do nothing that another class can't do better.
  15. I love how people miss the point entirely. We can do well on our own, yes. We bring nothing to the table that other classes don't do better, as another thread pointed out. We're just weak overall - we don't do anything that exceptionally when compared to other classes.
  16. Indeed. Going from playing a class that does everything exceptionally to a class that does nothing exceptionally when compared to other classes should be quite interesting.
  17. That was when WoW was a lot smaller and that kind of thing could be accomplished. The more people, the less of a "server community" there is. And seriously - I don't give two ***** about WoW. The PvP in that game is worse than the PvP in this game..and that is saying a lot.
  18. >Join Guild >Make "friends" >Group with "Friends" >Community intact Server communities aren't a thing. Guild communities are a thing. Cross-Server is necessary to ensure server population vitality in events of off-peak hours or a lower-population server.
  19. You get RB in the Advanced Prototype tree (the middle one) if you spec into it. It will be available by level 20 if you put all your points into AP.
  20. This really is an important distinction that people aren't grasping. We can be good right now and be useful on our own. However, when the role of our class is compared to that of another class, we just fall short in comparison.
  21. Buddytonto: When you made the blog post about the balancing act of what to fix, what to balance, and when; got me thinking about how the items are prioritized, as it didn't really explain that? Daniel Erickson: How we prioritize bugs is a complicated question and one that can be maddening from a player point of view. The answer is as complicated as the question but I can give a high level view. First comes anything that blocks the critical path of a class story for any reason. If you can’t progress, your game comes to a screeching halt so that always takes precedence. Next is the question: how many people are being affected and what is the damage being done? Half the population being slightly irritated loses in priority to ten percent of the population having their game crippled, for example. The last consideration, and the most opaque to players, is how hard the bug is to fix. There are fixes that look complicated and are nothing more than a database entry that went rogue. There are fixes that look easy and take months of untangling code. What we can promise is that we never ignore bugs or decide something is good enough as-is ------------------------------------------- I love this paragraph. The bolded part in specific. It is essentially saying "If half the population (Sages/Sorcerers) whine enough, we will be forced to remove the relevance of the Scoundrel/Operative. They aren't even 10%."
  22. Instanced PVP is expected, its obvious, you know its happening. World PVP is unexpected unless you are the one hunting, its sudden, it gets the adrenaline pumping. If you haven't experienced chasing someone through an entire continent on WoW or EQ2, you wouldn't understand. You can use the natural environment as cover, LOS. Every battlefield is different, has its little quirks depending on where you are. Alderaan(the planet, not the WZ) is a site of great OPVP - that's pretty much the only place I've experienced "good" OPVP in SWTOR.
