  1. They seriously, for one moment, considered making ranked WZs solo queue? Really? Today I had a guy, had no idea what to do with the ball, ran in the wrong direction, got lost, stood there. I patiently explained to him where he was supposed to be going and by the end of the game he understood how to play huttball. Now if this guy had been in a ranked WZ which everyone would choose for the ranked WZ comms, I would have flipped my sh*t. With every win/loss going on your "permanent record" why would anyone want to PUG that? Don't PUGs get stomped enough in regular WZ? Do you really want the PvP ranking of "Constantly Facerolled"?
  2. Yeah Mercs and Ops are completely different animals. I play both, though I'm dps on both. If you are specced for healing you aren't gonna out dps another class. Tracer Missle makes a huge difference in merc dps, I thought I was super weak until I got it at 20. As for healing, a major difference between a merc and a op is you have a huge range as a merc. Take advantage of that, you never want to be in the thick of things, you want to be off to the side, behind a pillar, on top of something, make your would-be murderer have to find you to kill you. Now once you are found, given how long it takes to cast a heal, that can and will be interrupted you aren't going to heal yourself while dps is pounding on you. Stun, bubble, run cowardly to the others for protection.
  3. Well a lower weapon would have lower stats too, but yeah, you'd probably drop in damage like 2 points, if you did it that way. I upgrade my gear when I start having trouble beating content, at 31 I couldn't kill a 32 elite, so I looked at my gear for myself and my pet, I was in low 20s gear and some of her gear was still in the teens. Just spent most of today updating it.
  4. 1. Never said the Guardian class or it's trees were "bad". Actually I said the opposite, that I enjoy playing it. 2. Never debated the utility of Force Leap, someone brought up how useful it is and I agreed. For some reason you seem determined to be angry with me and are twisting my words and intentions to justify your rage. Do I think Guards and Juggs could use a bit more tweaking, yes. I like the OPs idea of a self-heal. Do I think they are bad or weak, no.
  5. It's already implemented, transfers have been available for the Asian servers for awhile now, I think they are just getting prepared to do mergers instead of just allowing transfers because it won't be enough.
  6. Yep, crafting is a time and credit sink. Enjoy. (also even if their had been metal on the GTN it would have been very expensive because of the whole time sink issue)
  7. Take a deep breath and calm down. I'm a troll when I disagree, a troll when I agree. Wow, can't win. Of course melee needs a gap closer, but that doesn't mean it's all we need. You are talking about how useful force leap is to guards, no argument there, I'm talking about what else do we have that's useful compared to other classes.
  8. So I'm supposed to kill my guildies because you can't win matches? I don't think so. We aren't even on vent, we just group as not to kill each other. But I'm sure when we win people see the same guild tag and blame it on that, and not that they are disorganized and played poorly.
  9. All apprentices are tools for their master. That's why we bow our head, do our duty and wait for the first opportunity to kill them so we can be our own masters.

    Undying Rage

If there is a healer there taking them from ZOMGABOUTTODIE! to perfectly okay in five seconds then that's called good teamwork. A class shouldn't be nerfed because their defensive CD keeps them alive, IF a healer is nearby and paying attention. That's just silly.
  11. Nope, not trolling, and don't dislike guard. I was just saying I empathized with the OP. As for your response to my question, fair enough, force leap does give us some utility. I've used it quite a few times to score in hutball when the baddies are nice enough to stand where I need to go. Though it's not nearly as useful in the other WZs.
  12. Well share your wisdom, if a guard doesn't have a healer keeping them up, if they hit the guard button what all can they do other than stand there and die? Other tanks do get the ability to abandon ship if things go south.
  13. 1. Uh no, you'd have to expend a huge amount of mats to crit gear that wouldn't even be 50, it would be in it's 40s, so the moment you started doing some flashpoints you'd find better gear than what you spent days crafting. I strongly recommend you don't pick up Armormech for level 50 purple gear, you will hit 50 and make a shocked, outraged post in the forums. But it is useful for staying geared while leveling up. And 1.3 is introducing the ability to add augments to any gear drying up the profit from critted oranges (if there was any considering how many mats it can take to get an orange crit). 2. Same thing, the purples you'd be able to make stop at 49, but it is useful for making money and leveling up, just like armormech. 3. Good idea but Diplo mats don't earn that much, and this plan also relies on the mods and such being on sell, however it's pretty easy to level up in quest greens, and commendation blues so you don't really NEED to buy blue gear. 4. Better idea. Good profit from the mission quests you get from Slicing. 5. Stims and med kits are good for leveling, the implants sell well at low levels and the reusables are an excellent buff for endgame. There is a reason so many people pick this as their craft skill.
  14. Uh nope, not really. Cause you can also use a focus if you are dpsing as a Jugg. The real difference in dps comes from the abilities, not the offhand, things like Berserk and the Affliction tree ensure that a Marauder will out dps a Jugg even if the Marauder had a stuffed bunny in his offhand.
  15. I'd be in Droumand Kaas as it's the only other place that has everything, GTN, crafting trainers, etc. But then I'd have to go from planet to planet to spend commendations and there would be no pvp area anywhere for quests and gear, that would kinda suck.
  16. Eh, usually if no one is crying about your class needing a nerf in the forums, it's cause your class needs a buff. That's my policy.
  17. Actually what we said isn't that different when you keep in mind that at 42 my offhand damage is 47-87 with the same weapon in both hands, while my mainhand damage is 358-492. I know the mainhand damage is part of the tool tip, you can see this simply by changing barrels or hilts and watching all your gun or sword abilities go up in damage more than can be accounted for by the added stats. Since offhand damage is so low I can't say if it's already part of the tool tip. Plus the tool tips tell you the amount before it hits the person, they have damage reduction so it's rarely the amount you see on the tool tip unless you crit. If you are trying to decide between a Jugg and a Mara then dual wield isn't the deciding factor for dps. I've played both and a Jugg is not going to touch Mara damage on it's best day. All things being equal a Mara would do slightly more damage dual wielding than a Jugg would with a shield/focus, but all things are not equal. They are far from equal, because of the different abilities and trees a Mara does more damage than a dps specced Jugg. But of course as a Jugg you get the ability to tank, and until Mara's get to like 35 they die helplessly and horribly in pvp. Though at 50 Mara is considered overpowered because of their high dps coupled with survivability, while Jugg is reduced to suiciding so that others may live. That being said, I like Jugg better, I more about helping the team then basking in the stack of dead bodies at my feet.
  18. It means that after you hit mainhand + ability, you then also hit offhand. If you watch closely powers like that you see a big number and then a little number, the second number is your offhand damage.
  19. Don't feel bad, once I didn't realize I had the bag until I tried to sell it and the game wouldn't let me. LOL
  20. If you are using a healing pet then you are the one being hit so your pet would need more cunning than endurance.
  21. It wasn't so much they got buffed, it was that healing got nerfed into the ground. And you notice dps far more when healers can't keep you up.
  22. WZ exp was far too high when we started, I got the fleet, got the pvp quest that said play a pvp match, the other that said win a pvp match, plus the exp from pvp matches. Think it took me three matches to get a win, and when I got to Coruscant it was green, lol.

    Undying Rage

/signed I'm fine with Undying Rage as long as when you press it, it deals 10k damage to the marauder.
