I'm only level 25 on a character that cares about FPs (Knight Tank) and with my time during the week I don't feel like setting aside time for a NM FP (only an hour, but meh). Last weekend I ran 3, one each day, and only had one issue where someone quit/DC'd for no apparent reason. I understand that in the HMs and OPs it's a completely different experience, but in getting to those I'm having largely positive experiences with the LFG Tool and the community of players (Jedi Sentinel).

Not the kits, the actual augments. Who makes the armoring mods, enhancements, and item mods? I'm just wondering what I need to hook up an alt with.

Whilst I wear the orange gear if i can, I buy my mods and such with planetary commendations. If I find a random drop or quest reward that's better than what I've got on, even though I'm wearing orange, I'll wear the better gear until I'm 50 and can then work on crafting or buying some better mods and augs. I'm of the opinion that they should have just had an appearance tab as well, but they didn't so we have orange gear. *shrug* I'll make due. It does require wither spending a small fortune on the market to get the pieces you want that look good to you, or finding a good guild full of crafters and spending a smaller fortune (crafters need to cover expenses too). Unfortunately SWtOR doesn't really let you look how you want gear-wise, unless you spend the vast sums of credits to do so, and never at all if you're PvP focused (IIRC).

This. Also, I don't use the tool for Heroics simply because at that level it seems useless. Then again, I might ask once or twice a day and if I don't get a whisper or see someone else asking for the same Heroic, I'll just carry on and get it when I get it.

I'm constantly trying to keep chest pieces that HAVE a hood for both myself and Kira. Right now she's in a modable prototype that doesn't have a hood, I need to get her a modable torso bit that has one.

Actually, until NGE it was still doing quite well. Well, CU hurt a lot of folks.

I'm still learning to tank in SWtOR, so at the beginning of every FP and some heroics I make that known up front and say that advice is welcome. After we're done I ask for feedback again. By the time I start doing HM's I want to be a good tank that healers like. The kind that make them breathe a sigh of relief after the first real fight.

I just dropped into Nar Shaddaa after Taris with my Guardian and it's good to hear that the story picks up. I've enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but I've just come off the Act 3 of the Inquisitor so of course going back to the beginning seems a little anti-climactic.

I consider the ladies to be my Knight's kryptonite. Thus far I've taken every flirt option, even on Tython with the Matriarch's daughter.

Hrm. I see the OPs point, and while I don't see the "gogogo" mentality I also kind of see the "this is what I do" point of view. I have 3 characters total. I made an Inquisitor and went assassin (deception spec). I have a little bit of off-CC, but otherwise all I've got is DPS. A character I've had for awhile that came from my old server is a heal spec'd BH. Now a Merc can throw a little DPS into the mix to wipe the trash out, fair enough, but if I'm billing myself as a healer that takes priority. My 3rd character is a Jedi Guardian (hybrid spec eventually), and while it can be argued (successfully IMHO) that they are off-DPS I generally find that I'm focusing more on my threat generating skills and keeping the hate on me.

Had a few hours over the weekend and needed a break from the quests on Taris so I popped into the queue and within a minute I was in an Athiss FP. The next day did the same and got my Hammer Station done. I hadn't done either of those previously so I'm still seeing the LFG Tool as win.

If a drop is better than what I currently have equipped on the toon I'm on, and I can use it, I will "need" for it. Everything else is greed or breakdown.

So ignore stats, just focus on color. Gotcha.

My FP queue in less than a minute begs to differ. EDIT: I admit that the LFG tool has flaws when looking for groups for Heroics, so I still use /1 for that. For FP's though...? Love the tool. Use the tool. Hehehe, tool.

Thus why they are not queued in the LFG tool, cross server or not. I'll eventually be one of the tanks in the LFG queue simple because I don't have a guild, all my friends quit months ago, and while I'm playing a lot now I might vanish for 2-3 months at any time if I get bored (so why get in a guild).

Well, I won't ever be a loot ninja so I'm clear there. I've done 3 FPs total. BT and Ess and then whichever the 2nd Imp one is. That's it. My original server was dead to the point where I was the only person on Voss most of the time, and fleet was hovering around 15. I hesitate to say "most" but "most" people should take guidance (not screaming txting format capslock) well and fall in line for OPs and FPs. I know I try to. I might question it as the tank if someone with experience in the instance says "jump into that group of 4 elites, the healer's got you", but I'll shrug and do it anyway since I don't have the experience and the person leading says they do. EDIT: Oh, and for some people this is their first or maybe second MMO and they don't know the acronyms. I only knew CC from my WAR days, as I never raided in WoW and most CC in CoX doesn't break on damage. When in doubt type it out. All of that said though, some people are just douchebags.

Got a FP (only Esseles at my level) within a minute. The planetary one is the bit that confuses me. I still use /1 for heroic teams otherwise I don't really need PUG's. *shrug* Still, I love the dang tool.

Actual cosmetic slot items would have been nice. I understand how it impacts PvP (kind of) but it's still my preferred method of customizing appearances.
