  1. Also just wanted to point out to everyone, Bolster is irrelevant once you have on actual pvp gear or at least all the mods for it. If you are wearing say all pvp pieces in every slot the only major difference is if all the gear is augmented. Augments make the gear better by simply having it and if you are completely geared out correctly, regardless of what it appears, your ACTUAL useable stats bypass what Bolster might show you so long as it is at the highest possible performance level. your skills may say one thing, but they ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY deal the damage they are supposed to in pvp zones. This means that to see what kind of actual stats you will have you can see what the effective stats are outside of bolster zones while wearing true pvp gear. the only difference is between non-ranked and ranked gear. if you are wearing full non-ranked gear you will get a slight bonus to just under ranked stats. Once you are in full current ranked gear including best possible augments you will have THOSE stats applied regardless of what Bolster shows you. TLDR; Get PVP gear, wear it (including weapons and ear pieces and what not). Wearing Full PVP gear gives the BEST POSSIBLE results despite what Bolster pretends to give you while wearing it.
  2. Then its a good thing you aren't a dev cause the people who actually play this game notice how incredibly stupid some of the classes are. Hatred not only puts out WAY too much damage with WAY to powerful dot spreading but it can also heal, become invisible, has some of the best defensive cooldowns and can take on multiple targets solo. Sure a few other classes can do this but that's saying about half of the classes while the other half sit below the bar. Ops for example may have survivability with the roll and stealth while they dish out massive damage, but that's only when ALL the targets cooldowns are gone. They rely on stealth to maintain survivability else they have to be healers. Sorcs are WAY OP right now too but apparently "they aren't" according to the sorc population. But i still have yet to read a Jug thread saying "man we got nerfed so hard".
  3. Not always the issue. Although it's clearly not hacking, class abilities are completely insane sometimes. Average to pro healers, for instance, are a major pain and usually kill any non healer one-on-one for the simple fact they have literally unlimited hit points. If every time you hit someone they heal THAT amount back or better but they can whittle you down with a ranged attack or a dot or small hits that you can't heal from, they will win 100% of the time if they have two hands and press buttons. While it clearly isn't cheating it also isn't NOT just a knowing-the-class issue. I play an Op. SURE I can hit you like a mac truck, but one on one i cant kill jugs, sorcs or healers due to the fact that no matter how much damage i dish out there is always a way to either prevent or recover from our damage. Not to mention the knock downs that have very minimal resolve trigger and last WAY longer than they should. Yes I know my class, my spec and my enemy. It's not always about knowledge so much as mechanics. I KNOW my enemies, but when you have say a sorc guarding a node in pvp it takes at least two people to kill that 1 sorc due to class skills and game mechanics OF that class. No matter how much you KNOW your enemy it doesn't mean you have an option to do anything about it. I dont attack sorcs on-on-one unless i KNOW their shield is down because its pointless. I WILL LOSE every single time, they have too much CC and can dish out ranged damage and heal more than i can. Granted on the same token, if i don't have two people chain stunning me i can nearly 99% of the time get away as long as i don't let my HP drop too low to get burst down, but AGAIN its mechanics not lack of skill or opponent knowledge or lag or how old or new your computer is. Try to do some ACTUAL research before posting again, because all it does is make YOU look like the fool instead of the person you were trying to insult.
  4. Cant be sure who you were talking to but since you posted after i did i'm responding for both of us since i know what he meant. It has ALWAYS done what you just said. No one is disputing that. What you missed is that it does LESS damage than before. The point was to bring back the same damage that it did before. In my post i fixed that by adding some armor pen to corrosive dart but ONLY for the Op so as not to make it OP while adding very little utility. The added armor pen would increase weapon damage attacks such as toxic blast and the weapon damage portion of corrosive assault by roughly 5-10% depending on the target (7% for heavily armored players 5% for lighter armored players, 10% for Operation Boss armor). The rest of what he said made perfect sense and definitely is doable without making the class broken at all. I doubt you can find another Op player make a legitimate reply to speak against it.
  5. One: Backstab = Lethal Strike - Lethal Strike adds 20% to our dot damage - Still there and adds tremendous damage. Therefore its still in the rotation it just doesn't have a positional requirement anymore. Shiv is still there too for a different reason. Two: I 100% agree with the DoT spread mechanic. * Dot spread Mechanic see below: * Toxic Blast : Deals ACTUAL damage. THAT would be cool. * Cull (Now known as Toxic Assault) : Make the change listed below to add to its damage slightly. * Corrosive Grenade: Leave it how it is as far as the # of targets. Don't tough that at all. Instead read below. * TA to 3 count: Not really needed TBH. I would be happier if they would make Toxic blast deal actually significant damage on hit than get to have another TA. Add to the list: * Lethal Proliferation: If the target of Fragmentation Grenade is affected by Corrosive Dart it spreads it to targets it damages (vs carbine burst). * Lethal Purpose: Remove the Adrenaline probe cooldown reduction and change it to say: >>>> Your Shiv has a 50% chance to inflict a fatal wound, triggering any of your damage over time effects on your target. * Lethal Dose could be added to say: Increase the initial damage Corrosive Grenade and Toxic Blast deal by 100%. * Quickening: Each Roll refreshes your Kolto Probe or Kolto Infusion timer on you. (instead of a one time instant heal - trade off with better results) * Lethal Injectors changed to read: In addition Corrosive Dart weakens the target's armor while its active, granting you 30% armor penetration to affected targets. * Lastly for an AOE gain in any damage spec: Carbine Burst - Same damage. Same energy cost. No TA Cost. Add a 6 second cooldown. Change to a 30 degree cone instead of 10 degree cone of effect. If you have at least 1 Tactical Advantage, damaging at least 1 target will reset the cooldown on Carbine burst and consume a Tactical Advantage. Additionally, killing or assisting in the kill of a target resets the cooldown on Carbine Burst. This does not consume a Tactical Advantage
  6. I'm not replying to the statement you made, just to the post as you replied to it. All he was saying in his post was that other classes received direct buffs to their abilities and then some. We (as concealment specifically) received trade offs. ALL of our abilities we received were simply trade offs from other things and some minor tweeks to compensate for the lack of competition we had before (ill explain a couple). Jarring strike : useless now. A forgotten ability. Before? actually made us potentially a threat. Now a forgotten trash utility. Volatile Substance: Trade off- Better damage type, cheaper cost, still high damage - for shorter range and a quirky timer. Veiled strike: REALLY? Slightly more damage shiv. End of story. Orbital strike: removed from game ranged aoe. Our heroic utilities vs other classes: DEFINITELY not "very good options" by any means. Useful yes, VERY GOOD? no. Roll DOES HAVE A COUNTER: anything that can root you or lock out that spell type removes a wonky defensive cooldown that also can put you in a bad place which is ALSO possibly out of range to keep doing damage vs other classes defensive cooldowns being WAY more useful and lasting longer. I failed to mention in MANY MANY games i have been rooted, slowed and stunned the rooted again only to die before got off a single ability, all while I was stealthed from the start. Did I also fail to mention my resolve bar wasn't even half full when i died? Since i couldn't roll because i was either rooted or stunned it provided me nothing. Neither did my Evasion that only blocks melee/ranged abilities for a whooping 3 seconds after a completely useless cleanse (useless in terms of no immunity and reapplication for whatever was affecting you instantly). Stim boost's damage prevention of 20%? yes that compares to every other classes 25-40%. Not to mention you get them down to 25% only to have EVERY other class break free of CC finally and dash away to heal while we have no way to catch them. sounds fair to me! Simple fix: Give us Baseline Concealment Jarring strike like assassins still get to keep. Doesn't have to knock down or stun, make it like Crippling strike too. I'll ride. Make Countermeasures with counter strike give us a 3 second root/slow immunity instead of just a removal like most other classes have. Give Evasion a similar 25% Tech/Force damage resistance for its ultra long duration like many other classes have (not going to mention some other classes have WAY BETTER - this would be fine with me) Remove the TA cost for Kolto Infusion - Heck raise the energy cost for the trade off I'm fair. Give Volatile substance a 15m range and proc on any damage we deal. On a side note to Fix our Suburb AOE Carbine burst this is an idea: Carbine Burst: Deals same damage. Same Energy Cost, 30 deg cone instead of 10 deg. No Initial TA cost. 6 sec cooldown. Killing or assisting in the kill of a target resets the cooldown of Carbine Burst. If you have at least 1 Tactical Advantage and Carbine Burst damages at least 1 target, its cooldown is reset and consumes a Tactical Advantage. This would fix our AOE damage and be useable in combat instead of entirely useless.
  7. Actually i think we SHOULD get an auto kolto infusion, but on a separate cooldown. When you roll on BOTH ROLLS it should heal you. Since it barely compensates for any damage and compared to other classes getting all of our defensive cooldowns and then some offensive ones (better stuns, better roots, more spammable slows) i don't think its too much to ask for at least the initial heal. Or possibly having this: Both the first AND second roll refresh kolto probe and/or refresh the HoT from Infusion if it's still on you. While it gives us healing it is by NO means OP put next to a melee class (AP PT) hitting you Twice with a 100% armor piercing high damage shot followed by two high explosive burst shots that can either drop you to near death or kill you, ALL while he sits across the map out of melee range. Let Concealment keep Shadow Op Elite's bonus and change Quickening to refresh just probe and infusion hots on you.
  8. Funny how you listed a tank here but said you don't really need any. Not to mention its not the armor but the threat the tank provides keeping one player on focus. Maybe you were high when you posted this?
  9. Yes this makes sense. Twice as many people means the boss should hit twice as hard right? Since there are twice as many people that means I will have twice as many hit points and deal twice as much damage. why would having more people mean he should hit harder? what difference does that make? That's like saying i have the best of the best gear ok... now if i walk in to this 1 man dungeon i will have the proper stats but if i walk into a 4 man i will have 4 times the stats. dun Dun DUNNNNNN!!!! WTH i don't?! oh.. because common sense ruled that out. The only changes would be slight mechanics, maybe a tiny bit more damage but the major change would be how many HP the boss has.
  10. and lets see... first one: Clearly the gear that drops from those places is better than the gear the comms that come from those bosses can provide - result? Exactly what the OP said. second comment: Um i think you literally contradicted yourself to a point that made you look completely stupid and anyone who can read will ignore your statement entirely. The OP CLEARLY is saying EXACTLY what you think you are trying to say but without being a jerk about it. The point of GETTING BETTER GEAR means if you had better gear than before you went in to a place that drops the comms IN that place, WHY WOULD YOU go there to begin with? If the comms it drops are LESS USEFUL than the gear it drops while the content also basically requires you to have better gear than the comms that drop in that place can provide in gear, WHY DO THE COMMS DROP THERE instead of lower level content? If the comm gear is so useless then why do the comms drop in those areas? Why cant they drop in places that make more sense to the content they drop from? If the gear the comms provide doesn't compare to or is needed in order to do the content its like dropping greens from random world mobs, trash. The comms would then only provide items you can buy with the comms then turn around and sell. a fancy way to "earn" cash. The OP is saying, why not make the lower level FP drop the comms, then use those comms to do the higher level FP and OPs. THAT WAY when you go to do the Ops and what not you don't have to earn comms that will be useless before you even get them. do you even read your posts before making them?
  11. Simply because it IS AN EXACT MIRROR coupled with the fact that there are twice as many or more imp players vs republic. Whats the point of repeating the same issue twice when EVERYONE who plays this game knows its the exact same thing? Think for half a millisecond about what you are posting before pressing send please. Oh and: You can disagree if you want to... we cant make you be right. Eventually once you know some real facts and understand whats actually happening you may be able to make an informed decision. Even if people know to get out of it not everyone can at all times. Guess you've never heard of Crowd Control and having other players teaming it up to get the best and most out of the team. Getting stunned in it or any aoe or any ability or aoe slowing enemies in an aoe prevents them from being able to escape, resulting in this over-damaging ability to actually do the damage the sorc was trying to do in the first place. The fact still stands that they STILL do more damage with this ability than any other class can do with any other ability they have. And they have no cooldown on it. Guess you missed the fact that it also slows on its own resulting i a reduced chance to get out of it as quickly as you want to. And if also fighting someone else when in the middle of its 30m range its most likely to do all of its damage. Do you do any research at all?
  12. Personally 1v1 a merc i dont even worry about anything. I can kill a merc with little effort. but when it comes to Sorcs/Jugs/PT and even Marauders and healers are the issues. Healers (with the exception of Sorcs) can pretty much kill you by whittling you down no matter how much damage you can deal. Sorcs, doesn't matter what spec right now, can solo just about anyone if they know what they are doing. Everyone keeps saying we are fine because of or damage, but no one seems to understand damage is meaningless if you can either heal through it while dealing ANY amount back, if you have enough cooldowns to counter the damage while dealing it back, or if we simply cant hit you due to range and you're CC overpowers our abilities that deal enough damage to even hurt you. CC is an ops worse enemy and EVERYONE has insane amounts of it while we have little release from them vs other classes. Cant tell you how many times ive been perma CC'd to death by even just one player, other ops included. I get CC'd, either wait for it or for a bigger one. it breaks and i get rooted then ranged or cant turn or stunned, break out just to be either ultra slowed or rooted again. Wash rince repeat. When I try to do the same nothing even works. I Crippling slice, nothing. wait a couple seconds and Debilitate, nothing. wait a few more seconds and sever tendon, nothing. Try to Cripple again, STILL NOTHING. By that time my health is too low and i either die or have to run away while they are at near full health. Many times i can also get them down to say 5% health just to have them dash away. Or they are SOOO low, i keep attacking while they take little to no damage from everything just to turn around and kill me (aka Marauder's near immunity to damage coupled with 100% armor pen counter) Kind of the reason Ops are one of the worst classes in team ranked arenas because people just wait for you to come out then blow you up. Then you are down a player in no time flat. next to no way out.
  13. the best part about this post and problem is it quite literally destroys ALL of our defensive cooldowns. Cannot cleanse it properly resulting in still taking damage, cannot cloak or roll. Cloaking after breaking nets us removal of cloak by damage, we can still counterstrike cleanse but still take damage. Evasion cleanse, still take damage. how perfect is this? Just add it on to the pile of Operative nerfs BW refuses to admit. As to your complaint about nearly EVERY class skirting around our CC is insane. As ops we have very very limited mobility when it comes to actually delivering our damage. If we cant cc a target at least as a root or a slow its irrelevant that we can dish out ridiculous amounts of damage if we cant even hit you. Not to mention that EVEN if we DO manage to get to CC you everyone else has so many defensive cooldowns that our damage (if it CAN hit) gets negated to an extreme that its irrelevant. on more occasions than i can count i have gotten SEVERAL classes (non the least of which are sorcs, jugs and marauders) to within 10% of their life only to be rooted and stunned from 100% health to 0 without the ability to retaliate. Not even to be able to cloak. Yes there have been many instances where i have done the same but no where NEAR the amount that it has been done to me. I have every possible defensive utility simply because we have next to none and all of the ones that would actually matter are in the heroic tier that would be more useful than some others. 5% less damage is next to useless and i would rather have a cleanse all cooldown lowered than a simple removes movement impairing effects only to be reapplied in the next half second. How about maybe giving us a short lived movement impairment immunity instead? Even that would help out more than a cleanse once to be reapplied instantly.

There is nothing broken with them (COUGH COUGH) they are paper (COUGH COUCH) one on one ANYONE can take a sorc (COUGH, DEATH) wait... all of the above is exactly the opposite of reality. ok i agree... I don' t mean nerf them EXACTLY but things like no cooldown bubble, can heal while running at mach 3 after doting you to oblivion is kinda... STUPID. i was gonna say silly but it wasn't strong enough for the situation

I just never saw their posts and I just wish they would post corrections in patch notes instead of just leaving them out. Maybe I've watched the wrong videos... he said in many of them that he cant stand concealment and he prefers Lethality... maybe all the ones that hes made that I've watched since the release of patch 3.0 have been modified by someone to make me believe it's the other way around.   21. Thanks. Apparently they didn't change the patch notes because I quoted the current patch note (when i quoted it) directly from their site. Like i said before, Ops aren't in the position of power but at least I don't need to waste stats on Accuracy or alacrity (i guess) since they think the "dps is ok" where it is right now. I love my dps... but I can't put it out on some classes simply because i can't catch them. Anyways i made a thread on how Bolster could be improved. You should check it out and post to see if it makes sense. If I get enough posts and positive feedback I might try to take it up to the devs and see if we can't make all of our lives better by what I posted.
  22. what i read: I play a Sorc. Please don't make us kill-able. Please leave our broken class alone. I like making an entire team focus on Just one player (me) while the other members of my team are free to do whatever because i play a sorc and it take the entire other team to pretend they can kill me while i dish out more dps than their whole team while healing myself and holding a node.
  23. and i read this... clearly you have never played an Op. since you have no idea how meaningless cloak is when you are consecutively stunned or even rooted. Cloak means "i give up because clearly i cant kill you because i either cant catch you or can't dps you down enough to make you care that i am even playing no matter what kind of gear i am wearing or what level you are." not only that but its not just their bubble that is insanely OP but the fact that you can barely catch them, they can heal while moving, can become invincible and heal while you sit there helplessly and watch, can dps from a mile away and kill MULTIPLE people simultaneously while healing. Yeah... clearly you haven't actually played this game long enough to know what's going on.
  24. Glad you don't actually play this game since clearly you have NO idea what you just said. Either that or you play a Sorc and just don't want to be nerfed to not be ungodly OP anymore.
