  1. -Competitive PvP tournaments, point systems. -A website reflection of your character/guild for bragging rights on kills etc -Improved World PvP rewards etc -PvP collective items for dark and light, allowing for capturing and bonuses for holding these collective items, thus promoting RvR type PvP Yes I am PvP orientated, I feel PvE raiding is just old, out of date and player versus player interaction is the future for mmo gaming Why can't there be PvP raiding, where guilds have to fight other guilds to get loot drops from player characters etc I think that would be AMAZING fun for alot of people
  2. Competitive PvP Plans specifically World PvP plans and PvP Tournament plans
  3. Because SWTOR hasn't released in Asia yet, so you can't compare subscriber numbers where one has a wider reach
  4. WoW's subscriber numbers is super inflated by its ASIAN client, they account for nearly 80-90% of the 11millions subscribers
  5. Fair points but think your find that buggy game releases are now the NORM not the exception I look at Skyrim for example or any of the many MANY game releases this year, which are then patched and updated. Get used to buggy, 'incomplete' games is what I am trying to say, its the norm Hell go look at Skyrim ADDONS to identify how many features it lacked which people created, but people still accept it for what it is, a decent story driven RPG, I think you expect too much from your MMO's which unfortunately causes you to dislike them. The only loser here is you, you miss out on enjoying things because you have such high expectations
  6. Plus you were amazed by WoW because no doubt it was your first forays into an actual MMO. The rest of us old skoolers were like you complaining it was just like EQ and lacked alot of its features..... Oh the irony
  7. Define incomplete product You spout it alot in your retort but don't even define what you consider to be an incomplete product. To me this is a VERY complete product with regards to an MMO, so I am not quite sure what you expect. Go back and play every MMO that has been created in the last 8yrs at their inception if it was possible and advise me on whether you consider them incomplete or not when they were released. And besides its a ridiculous statement anyway, as by its very nature an MMORPG is never 'complete' its always being updated. Don't you see what you are doing, you are defining a games completeness based on a game which has been updated and polished over 10+yrs Thats like me complaining that a singleplayer game doesn't have the same content as one released 4yrs ago which now has 5 addon packs, and then complaining that they released an 'INCOMPLETE PRODUCT' Do you not see yourself saying this? Its so black and white to me, its so infuriating that others are completely blind to it
  8. You miss some fundamental points when making your statement. Everyone keeps judging an MMO, namely SWTOR, based on WoW's 7yrs of development, without considering its not humanely possible to produce that same content and polish over 4yrs of CREATING an MMO Creating an MMO takes time and effort to develop world, assets, sounds, graphics, the game engine and much much more. If you carry on to introduce LFD tools, tons of endgame content and lots more what people have been asking you risk overshooting either your budget or your time frame to release the game, for reference look up the game DAIKATANA. The reality is that people judge SWTOR on WoW's 10yrs of development, not including the 3-4yrs of development time it had just simply creating the game. You cannot I REPEAT CANNOT judge a game based on any game that preceded it, unless you provide it with the same time to grow and develop. Its like a expert pianist criticising an amateur pianist for being no good. Time and resources is something people miss here, and it is a critical reason why NO you can't compare this game to WoW as it is now. And no you can't just claim that because X game had Y features before it then the developers should automatically introduce it at the games inception. It takes time to develop and introduce these things, have some patience.
  9. I will begin..... Server Performance bugs: Warhammer was billed as a game that would support huge, large scale battles where you could assault forts, siege cities, and more. Unfortunately, if you got more than 50 to 100 players in the same location, the lag and server performance made the game almost unplayable. The WAR developers exacerbated this problem with their attempted "solutions." They put a cap on the number of people who could enter a Fortress zone, and anyone else who tried to enter would get "supply line" teleported back to their warcamp. It is hard to explain how incredibly frustrating it is to try and participate in the supposedly vital end game content and instead spend an hour running up and down the map hoping you can sneak into the zone while someone who died is releasing and running back. The city sieges themselves, which were supposed to be one of the most epic elements of the RvR content, were instead instanced zones with ~50 people per side. In each instance, the teams competed to accomplish PvE objectives. Horrible. Bugged Siege Weapons: Watch this vid: I could go on but its pointless and taking this post OFF TOPIC
  10. I mean seriously, SERIOUSLY....are you smoking something, because we clearly played completely different Warhammer MMO's
  11. See above and nothing more is needed to be said on the subject
  12. Fighting animations, feel more like I am in a fight especially with lightsabers
  13. Surely larger play areas would dilute the space that people could interact, in other words making the world feel even more empty, which in WoW is very common, unless you sit in a capital city like everyone Once again this is all down to personal preference
  14. What soundcard do you use? Sometimes that can have an effect, sounds bizarre but seen it happen Have you got the latest soundcard drivers?
  15. Latest graphics drivers? Are you playing windowed or full screen? Let me know
  16. Actually find myself sitting back after 2-3hrs of playing and thinking, "Where the hell did that time go?" Thats how I know I am enjoying myself
  17. I just bought Starcraft 2, my god the same old resource collection and unit building crap! ..oh wait...
  18. When I went to America, they loved my british accent, they kept getting me to make statements and then roll about laughing, the women were mesmerised...... I wish that would work in the UK too I'll just go grab my coat.....TAXI!
  19. Those screenshots use the top level textures and AA turned on, which we don't have at the moment due to bugs and engine tweaks to improve its performance. It will come eventually I am sure.
  20. Patience young padawans, it will come, oh yes it will come! WOO
  21. Your view of SWG is very biased, the developers spent exorbiant time fixing bugs, massive and mean MASSIVE exploits, constantly trying to fix the imbalance of beast masters. They even introduced arguably the worse patch in MMO history in an attempt to fix the completely broken engine they were using and fix the issues which were unfixable with the existing skill based design I am no fan of WoW, but they are able to tweak and control changes in their engine and client, SWG failed because they strove to far and could not control the beast which in the end killed them completely. Sandbox games are extremely difficult to control, look at Eve Online with their constant scandals involving exploits and cheats. Whilst in games like WoW they are kept to a very minimum as will be the same in SWTOR, it happens but not on such a grand scale as in a sandbox game. Plus a sandbox game is much MUCH harder to develop for, because any new items can mess up the perfect utopian sandbox that people create for themselves. Its the battle between control and order, or freedom and chaos Plus they had deep pockets due to it being the first MMO game based off the Star Wars franchise
  22. Plus you have to remember that developers can only pump out so much content, even in a sandbox, you still require content to keep people interested, therefore grinding is a necessary evil not a wanted one. Even Eve Online has SEVERE grind fests and that is a sandbox Until a developer can devise a content tool which is capable of producing content automatically, and make it interesting, interactive and original, you will see games have grindfests until the end of time
  23. Did I miss a beat, did FPS's evolve since the days of Wolfenstein? Did RTS's evolve since the days of Dune2? I think not, little changes and improvements have occurred over the last 20yrs but the fundamental gameplay remains the same
  24. Massive refers to the games size, the Multiplayer part refers to playing with other human beings, which in PvP I believe you are fighting against and with other people. Just wanted to clarify that
  25. There are so many, I thought a great idea would be to have a DROID race!! I mean instead of clothes you equip new parts, so new arms, head, legs etc. The storyline could follow something along the lines that you gain Sentience and become an individual and its your struggle to be acknowledged as an individual etc, or your quest to find like minded Droids etc. There are so many potential storylines its huge! Bit corny but I think it could be great
