  1. It is quite tedious to find a group for flashpoints at times even when the republic fleet appears to be teeming with people, an LFG tool for immediate entry to a flashpoint would be very beneficial. Regarding the auction house, it does need better search functions, maybe as the GTN grows and more items are put onto it (as servers grow) then this will be implemented. Crafting 'should' allow people to gain access to good items without having to constantly grind for random drops in operations or from PvP commendations. The developers even mentioned that crafting should be competetive with these methods and so yes it does need to be improved upon regarding the items you can make to be competitive. A speeder increase would be nice, sometimes it doesn't feel you are travelling at 90% of your walking speed but maybe that's just the way it seems when in fact you are. As for those concerned with a lack of PvP brackets for all levels, this issue is inherent with the launch of new servers. After some thought it seems that due to the fact 10 million people are not subscribed to this game then making the numbers up for each PvP level bracket would require cross server interaction. I can imagine this is difficult to implement when the serves have only just been created and are being stabilized to deal with the influx of new players, & therefore it's not laziness on Bioware's part. When things have settled down I'm sure this will be implemented.
  2. Yes as mentioned by Emmanuel Lusinchi - Associate Lead Designer http://www.swtor.com/blog/some-clarifications-item-modifications The reason you can't alter the armour stat of epic level 50 gear is to support the idea of doing operations for gear to gain the ultimate and best items (e.g. chest item). Due to them having a higher armour rating (and more importantly set bonuses) than any moddable item it gives a purpose to aim for them, although their appearance may not be favoured by some and therefore you can just keep and upgrade orange gear to a degree. If the difference isn't that big and you prefer your orange items then do operations for fun and for the mods which 'can' be removed to place into your orange items.
  3. I apologise for those not liking large walls of text, this is a more positive thread to my previous versions and has the aim of airing my current thoughts and to try and prevent people from giving up on the game like I was going to. Firstly I was concerned with linearity and not being able to go for a wonder and get lost through exploration (which can be done in another mmo). However I am not concerned about this now as this game isn't that mmo and should be perceived from a completely different angle. The storylines are very immersive and entertaining and it's important to explore and admire the art and effort which has gone into the designs of the planets to truly appreciate the angle of this game. What is the purpose of aimless wondering about anyway, it's better to have a purpose. Secondly I have been concerned about several cosmetic issues and following consideration most can be lived with, apart from one which should be dealt with soon (and I'm sure it will, and will be mentioned towards the end of this post). I'm not concerned about the lack of Jedi Guardian armour in the game now, many raised fear that the plate armour (shown on front of box) and similar designs with different colours where not actually in the game. This isn't the case, they are in the game it’s just you have to play for a while and reach level 30ish+ to find them. I'm still concerned but not as much as I was before about there being no hood toggle, as for now I can live with the idea that Jedi can look iconic with a hood up. However I still believe this issue should be addressed and fixed as it would be nicer to see my character's face and hair instead of a hood all the time. We may get a toggle later and if so it will be a bonus. Another tiny issue is the rear of robes shown by Jedi Knights wearing armour; realistically it isn't noticeable or game breaking. Moving on to the final issue & I feel this does require fixing soon. As many know despite the graphical issue for in game textures being repaired for those having problems with it (not myself I will admit, I had high settings from the start) the fix hasn't repaired the issue with armour showing in low res textures when playing (except for cut scenes). As armour shows as being high res in cut scenes it should be the same for the rest of the time but I'm sure Bioware are onto it. Taking everything into account, the game it excellent, a fresh start for many, and has many fun things already to do with the prospect of many more things to be added. Let's enjoy the game, hope it does well and try and bear with it during this period of launch where problems are to be expected. It will progress and get better and hopefully compete with other mmo's on the market.
