  1. Kind of have to agree on the generral oppinion. It looks kind of old and due to the missing frames everywhere it is terribly hard to read. The eye is not being guided through the scenery.
  2. Absolutely agree with the OP. I was waiting for the customizable gear so much and now I am sitting there with a whole bank full of orange gear that I can't and probably will never be able to use. Shame on you Bioware for promising and not delivering. Please, please fix asap!
  3. I would like to have the 24h clock too. Not just because it's easier, but because it's standard all over the world. Only US and Canada use the 12h clock. Next I have to count in gallons and feet too, hmm? Feet... I love it... how can a civilized nation still count in feet? :DDD
  4. Completely takee out the cost of changing mods. It's simply completely in conflict with the idea of customizing the look of your toon. Paying 500k credits for that is just insane and without any logic. What concerns me the most though is that this again is something BW should have seen coming. Just crazy how little they think ahead... Edit: Wait I change that. Leave the cost for removing mods, but finally get away from the concept of using orange items also for changing looks. Just make the looks transferable or make cosmetic slots. Would solve it all. Keep costs for mod changing and ensure crafters still have a market left and finally give everyone a way of customizing their looks. Lord of the Rings online had the cosmetic slot system and it was brilliant. There even where cosmetic items just for looks without stats... Then even the social items would instantly make sense. It would solve everything. Edit again: I do not like the mod system anyway... in theory a nice thing, but it takes away many things.
  5. Those are not all just money sinks... Bioware wants us to have to grind so we play more, so we have to stay and pay. The economy is fine. Prices on the GTN have been rether stable from the beginning on and did not change a lot. If there was a huge inflation, we'd need money sinks, but there isn't. Most of my Level 50 friends are even more broke than me ingame. Most have around 100k credits on teh bank and sometimes have trouble paying repair bills. Now the next guy will come telling, me, that they are doing something wrong and that it's so easy to get money. Again, that's not what it's about. The reality counts. People do not want to farm for fun little things. Changing your look does not change your performance... There should just be cosmetic slots like in Lotro.... -_-
  6. They are not? Do you have a self paying, self cleaning house that does not cause you additional work? If so, I want one too! Or does your car not require any attention? Just last weekend I spent 3 hours on the sidewalk, changing winter tires to summer. Guess that's not really relevant. Wouldn't have played SWTOR anyway... just saying. ^^
  7. Oh damn... this is getting even better. Now to even start to cahnge my look, I first need a full set of the new gear? @Tahana If what you say is normal in any MMO and only in Blizzards World of Warcraft as I would like it, why then does Lord of the Rings online, Aion, Tera, Guild Wars and many many other MMO's have a almost completely free way of changing your look to what you want it to be?
  8. Here we go... first hint on how to make money. I do not have time for farming. I pay money to play the game. I won't waste my time with grinding. Money sinks are needed. True... but it is a very bad idea, to put a money sink where players normaly would get fun out. You destroy the fun and people go away. I was looking forward to this alot... now I can basically forget about it. One aspect of 1.2 that would have possible kept me as a paying customer went down the money sink... @AesirUesugi I do not play a little each evening... I have a job, a wife, a child, a house, a car, friends etc... how do you expect me to play EVERY evening??? O.o Still easily doable?
  9. Hello Bioware, I was looking forward to update 1.2 for several reasons. One of them being that finally I would be able to change the look of my lvl 50 Bountyhunter through he orange items and transferable set bonuses. Now 1.2 comes and I (fully excited) run to my bank where I have a whole tab full of orange itmes waiting and take my favourite pieces out to change the mods from my PvE gear into them and... "It will cost you 36000 Credits to remove this mod. Do you want to proceed?" W T F? That's roughly 100k per item and a total of 500k if I want to change the whole armor. 500k for changing your look??? I have a total of 470k credits on my level 50 character. What do you expect me to do? Grind money in the little time I have for gaming after work to be able to change my look once every month? I don't like your new way of making everything more and more expensive. Do you expect people to play more because it takes longer to grind the stuff together? If so, you are terribly wrong. Btw thanks for the 30 extra days of gaming. Otherwise I would have been gone 30 days earlier... -_- To all those, who will now give me hints and tips on how to get money quick or how they re so rich and I so stupid: Get lost. I already have a job and don't want to grind money in a game that I PAY for.
  10. -The HEROEngine -The total lack of Sandbox elements
  11. Guys... it's not a question of oppinion, if Bioware is doing anything wrong. It's a simple numbers game. Populations are dropping. Overall, populations BARELY reach "standard" lately. Patch 1.2 will only make it worse, as the only two big things being improved are UI and crafting. Serverpopulation: http://www.torstatus.net/shards/eu As you can see here, servers are not anywhere near heavy population, which is needed for a healthy community. So there WILL be server merges sooner or later. The big question is why. My guess is, it's because of two simple things: 1. Almost no endgame content. A few recycled Flashpoints for HM. 2 Operations in total recycled to be 8, 16, normal, HM, NM. No sandbox AT ALL (housing, music, games etc.). Very small PvP content with Ilum being completely broken. 2. The engine is the worst thing ever. Not scallable. Low FPS even on high end PC's, looooooooow resolution textures etc. What you should not forget here, is that WOW for example has so many players, because the engine runs on pretty much anything. Even powerful Netbooks can run WOW on minimum settings. I tried to run SWTOR on my 2010 Laptop (C2D, 2GB RAM, Integrated graphics) and it was a slideshow even in my hangar (no people around at all) with less than 5 FPS. WOW runs just fine on it. So you can simply cancel out all players who do not have a good PC, as they leave because they don't want to play a slideshow. The two simple reasons make the game go down. And again, it's not a matter of oppinion. It's a simple numbers game. Go look for yourself. How Bioware can improve these two things? 1. Improve crafting (coming in 1.2) more FP's and Ops and more Warzones. Fix Ilum. And put in **** LOADS of sandbox elements. 2. The HeroEngine can't be fixed in the short term. So they will have to focus on #1... Oh and last but not least, I am not a doomsayer. I love SW and I WANT SWTOR to be a striving and flourishing MMO. Though I do not refuse to read the numbers. It's that simple, guys....
  12. Hah! I wish you lots of luck in your endeavour! @Pinkpants: You're blunt and I totally don't share your oppinion. It never was your spot anyway. There will be more than enough americans at the summit. Every european, who actually makes it, is a nessecary member at the summit. European oppinions will be represented too little anyway.
  13. Wow... Is tthere anything in this gme, that is completely bug free? I guess we'll cancel the EV Ops for friday evening then. Great job, Bioware. As soon as any other MMO is out, I'll at least take a break from SWTOR until the majority of bugs and content holes is fixed.
  14. Uhm... wait... I am Biochem aswell... and for ANY Rakata Stims/Medpacks/Adrenals I can craft, I only need ONE crystal... ^^
  15. Staying subscribed. My guild is flourishing, the Ops are fun, the FPs are fun, the PvP is fun and I still have a **** load of story lines to play (only one char on 50 with tier 2 gear). I am really looking forward to patch 1.2 and beyond. In my oppinion Bioware is doing a brilliant job with patching. Everytime I read the new patch notes, it's exactly what I would have done next too. There also is no MMO on the horrizon for me to switch. GW2 is uninteresting. I played GW1 and it was rather not my type of game and GW2 actually looks worse... ^^ Then there is soft porno TERA... meh... if I want soft porno, I don't need a subscription. Other than that there is nothing in SWTORs league anyway. Maybe Titan, when it comes... but that will be earliest end of 2013. Go Bioware! You're doing a good job here! Edit: Oh wait one thing I hate is the support. It's slow, unpersonal (the support droid stuff is a stupid idea) and not really helpful. I made 4 tickets now and none really got handled well.
  16. To the OP: I understand your reasoning, but don't agree. I am at a point, where I played one char to lvl 50 with PVP Rank 45 and lots of FPs done. I can honestly say, I would NEVER want to play a "normal" MMO anymore. There was never a MMO, where I even cared to read the text based quests beyond level 10. I hated it. It ws just leveling and no fun to get up to max level. The only fun while doing that was friends to play with, but not from the game itself. Here I can have double the fun basically. From the friends (as before) and from the game itself. I agree, that there are MANY things, where Bioware has to improve on, but give them some time. If you've played other MMOs, you know that this takes time. There was never one single MMO, that just worked right out of the box. All systems need tweeking, improving or in the worst case even redesigning. Be patient. Edit: Oh and I was so totally immersed into the story. Also Makos little side story was totally immersive too.
  17. Definitely exploit and not intended. Fix: Count a score as soon as the ball handler crosses the goal line, no matter what hight. That way the pulling would stop instantly. Bioware: The issue is getting bigger too. Yesterday I had to leave 3 matches because the fun was destroyed by people waiting at the goal line, killing them selves in the flames and then pulling ball handlers up.
  18. Are you planning to implement more cosmetic features, such as dyes or cosmetic slots for armor and barbers? As it is at the moment, all look the same in the end. Even with orange items getting more versatile in the future, it won't change this problem.
  19. I am a Merc myself. I always enjoy the view, standing on one of the bridges in the Huttball arena. Then I pick my target and BAM BAM BAM!!! Each tracer missile hitting for 10-20k damage it doesn't take long, until all are dead. Then normaly I just take the ball, teleport to the goal line, and score 2 goals, since Mercs always score twice with one ball. It's always fun to shoot some heat rays out my eyes just for the looks. Get over it! I am a MERC! Gnihihihihihihihi
  20. Nope! No facerolling please. Your post is not about having the option to play with friends, it's about easy wins. If you want easy wins, go play at Hello-Kitty-World.com...
