  1. Instanced areas on certain planets would probably be the best route for housing, or space stations as mentioned, but that doesn't feel as home-ish as planet would, imo. DAOC had a pretty good housing system, it was just a huge instanced area with houses only and I think people were pretty happy with that. I could see a few of the current planets (Tatooine, hoth, voss and Corellia) each having their own instanced housing areas, giving the players a choice of which planet type they'd like to live on.
  2. +1 Perfect use of the Legacy system. Just imagine having to do the +10 datacron on every one of your characters, it was a huge buggy hassle on my main.. to the point where I refuse to do it again.
  3. Thanks guys, I appreciate the answers.. this will definitely be the next class I level now. Turns out I managed to find out for myself a couple minutes after making this post, so needless to say I felt pretty stupid. I figured they should have it since they were mirrored.. but who knows. I see Sorcs complaining all the time that they aren't mirrored with Sages 100%.
  4. I was just wondering if the Jedi Guardian has the same abilities as the Juggernaut, I've seen a Jugg force choke people and then throw them back (mainly in hutball, throwing people right into fire). But I don't recall ever seeing Guardians do this. I would just play a Jugg but I've leveled a couple empire to 50 already and would really like to play a Republic but would be pretty bummed if I leveled a Guardian and it didn't have that ability.. Just thought I'd ask the Guardian players since I can't seem to find anything in ability lists. Thanks.
  5. This, so much. There are others things that are just much more important right now.
  6. Really? You're serious? You must be really bad if you think this is true, a powertech is one of the best ball carriers, period. Especially with a good healer. Hearing this come from someone who claims to be a BM PT is just wrong. Edit: Hutball is fine the way it is, normally BOTH sides will have atleast some of these classes. Whether the players know how to use them in Hutball, well, who knows.
  7. This can be very aggravating. I did a run with my guild last night trying to gear some of them up. I already have full columni and needed nothing from EV. But.. I still won 4 pieces of Columni.. such a bummer. Now I know they put this system in to protect pugs or whatever, but.. There has to be a better way. Why not just make it so you can only need gear that you can use? Would that be that hard to implement into a game? I really have no idea. It just seems so obvious and simple, especially if you're trying to protect pugs while giving EVERYONE a shot at gear that they need.
  8. I don't think this map would ever be balanced unless all the classes had all the same moves. That still doesn't really answer your question, but I really have nothing else to say about that. There is an obvious lack of balance in the match, but no reason to remove it from the game, ever. There is always imbalance. There will always be people who don't like it one way or another.
  9. I'm not really sure what you mean.. but it wouldn't hurt for certain classes to have a little buff for help if necessary because let's be honest, some classes there are just plain strong and the teams with those classes SHOULD get the win. If they don't then they just don't know how to play their class in Hutball. But yah.. some classes there are just out-matched. My alts an Operative healer and Sorc healers just blow me out of the water as far as usefulness goes.. although, I don't do too bad I just get jealous of the Sorcs.
  10. Hutball is the best warzone I've played in any MMO, hands down. I didn't like it at first but once I reached 50 and learned how to play the game I freakin' love it and not just with my 50.. fun on alts, too. It can be frustrating though if you're a class that can't jump or have some good move enhancements... but oh well. My mains a powertech and my alt is a Operative.. big changes between classes when it comes to Hutball, still love it on both characters.
  11. Gand, Nautolans, Trandoshan, and Wookies.. Any of those would make me a happy camper. The races were my biggest disappointment with this game, the ones we have made me feel like Bioware was just plain lazy. I was almost positive that Wookies would have been a playable race seeing that they're a pretty mainstream race from the movies.
  12. Personally, I'm glad you get such good exp from the space missions.. if you don't want to sit around grinding quests to level up an alt, do your space dailies for some fast exp.. do enough space missions you can skip out on some really boring quests/planets. They're really not worth doing for any other reason.
  13. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Isis while playing.. this song in particular.
  14. Yeah, I have the same loading screen, too. I just assumed that every class that finished their story-line had the same chap 3 load screen from that point on.. could be wrong.
  15. Ok.. I've been reading a lot of comments about there being a huge lack of end game content. I'm wondering.. what do people consider end game content? What more is expected from end game? There are around 7 HM flashpoints to run, 2 Operations, with 3 different difficulties, 3 warzones and Ilum. To me, that feels like a lot considering you have to run those places multiple times and then some in order to get geared up. Once you're fully geared.. then I suppose you might be out of things to do, which really doesn't feel any different to me than any other MMO I've ever played. In WoW (and I say WoW because that's what everyone compares every MMO to) it felt the same way, you get to max level run heroics over and over get geared then raid. Do the same thing with PVP. Now.. I've played Dark age of Camelot and Warhammer and those games had a lot of end-game content compared to either WoW or SWTOR simply because of the huge open world PvP/RvR systems. But is SWTOR really lacking end game right now? Opinions please, I don't really think there is a huge lack considering the game just released 6 weeks ago. I've got a 50 Powertech and I really haven't run out of things to do. I've been 50 for about 3 weeks now and really have no complaints, aside from wanting more warzones, which are on the way.
