I used the force to sense this disaster and jumped ship long ago. I am now communicating, through the force, to warn all those to not turn to the dark side (SWTOR).

If you researched the Hero Engine, you would have also found out that the game the Engine was designed for (hero's journey) was never publicly tested. So I can't help but wonder how they can claim that is holds 1000's of players on screen. Where exactly did they get 1000 players to test it? It never had an open beta, closed beta, or even alpha for that matter. I don't even think the game had 1000 people interested in it, lol.

Yea, stop comparing this game to WOW. World of Warcraft was actually a 'good' game. This game doesn't compare in anyway shape in form. Even the crap they copied from WOW (which was everything) wasn't done better.

I always love it when some random guy on the forums comes up with better ideas than an entire design team could come up with in years. You have to wonder who is shooting out the ideas when games are created? Seriously, what the hell happens in these meetings? I'm going to refrain from bring up the 'monkeys throwing poo at each other' (oh wait, i said), but geez! The imagine is so clear in my head and just makes so much sense!>

This is actually a post to set up those complaining about the game. I think the game sucks ***, but my response to this question would be.. -Acknowledge problems and act like they will be fixed quickly, but completely realize that it will be a year or more before they do. All of this is to re-affirm those still clinging to hope in an attempt to suck in more money. Also would have released the game before Christmas as well, since even before it came out, I would have realized that the game itself was lacking on many fronts and wasn't up to standards in today's MMO market. This would at least supply sufficient funds to make a buck, even if the game flops. Ride out the 'Star Wars' name as long as I could, before even the fanboys became aware of the situation and unsub- Yea, I guess I would be doing exactly what they are doing.

Bugs/glitches/patch problems aside... This game offers nothing that other games don't do better. (Besides voice acting) So if you are here because you love Star Wars, then this is the place for you.

Of course the game will last a long time. Hell, they could have released pong and called it SW and it would have lasted a long time. The question is.. what kind of a life will it be.

Regardless of stock price, EA has the worst reputation in the gaming world. Anyone who has followed that company will know what I'm talking about. They have shady practices and a general lack of concern for the gaming industry as a whole. They care nothing more than to put money into their pockets. (Don't give me that crap about 'it's a business', cause that argument is crap) They have shafted gaming communities, players and just about every person associated in the gaming world. If they are flopping as a company, it's only because of themselves. I promised myself that I would never buy another EA supported game (as many gamers have), but the temptation of SWTOR/BW was too much. I bought the game against all better judgement. Anything supported by EA is bound to crumble. "hustlers of the gaming world"

I agree 100% with the people saying that most of these people should just cancel their account... Then this crap heap of a game can go F2P (like it should be) cause paying for this garbage is laughable. But hey, some people like being fed poo instead of steak.

I'll blame EA because they deserve the reputation. "hustlers of the gaming world" BW hasn't yet earned this title, but through EA, they will.

Why do people always jump to compare to WOW? lol. It doesn't help you argument at all to compare SWTOR to WOW. 1. Blizzard made their own engine. 2. WOW was released 7 years ago and had far less 'INTERNAL' bugs than SWTOR. I know the standard is to compare this game to WOW, but the two aren't even on the same 'scale' as far as MMORPG's are concerned. This game is a gimmicky mess with half the subs here because it's "Star Wars". WOW actually got their subs because their game was you know.. "GOOD".

I have no doubt that this is because they are using a shotty, untested game engine (cough, hero engine, designed for a game called Hero's Journey 'NOT SWTOR', which never even got released) which no doubt is showing it's true colors. If they are ignoring it, it would mostly likely be because the issue is at the very heart of the engines programming. An engine that isn't theirs and was made by a company with no MMORPG experience besides some 'farmville' knock offs and text based online MMO's. The fact that they even managed to make SWTOR is beyond me.
