  1. DERP. A bunch of people who's mothers didn't hug them enough......or maybe too much.
  2. SWG was great for those who liked to play house. They promoted it as being able to live in the Star Wars universe, and that's what you got. Thats what a sandbox is, just as much like SIMS as a platform for combat. The majority of those who came into the MMO scene through themeparks currently don't understand a sandbox MMOs. Hence the forum battles. I'm not worried. Themepark gamers are coming around. Watch the forums. They want more options and freedoms. Look at the things they want. Hating on sandbox mmos is the cool thing to do, but truth? It has the things they want. The technology and know-how is here now more than ever. We'll see it again. To answer the OP, yeah. I'm bored.
  3. I feel your anger. But I'll take this seriously. I agree. TOR is a great game, but a terrible MMO. Keep an eye on Guild Wars 2 and Tera. They might get the mmorpg formula right.
  4. I was anti-so many things during this game development. Now? It's not the game I thought. Still good, but different. More of a lobby MMO. So bring on the LFG tools that port, the mods and everything else. It really doesn't matter. This isn't the kind of game that fosters community. It is a solo experience with multiplayer aspects. Still enjoying the game, but the truth is the truth.
  5. It is random. You can RE 10 things to get the next tier, or a hundred. Trust me, I've done it. Truth? Crafting isn't worth it. I can buy what I need on the GTN for much less than it costs to make the item. Crazy, I know. And it's useless endgame.
  6. As a guardian tank, I feel this post. Animation clipping and getting locked in the GCD happens all the time. Usually due to the defense stat causing a dodge/parry animation. It's silly and needs to be fixed. I have to spam abilities like mad. Do you know I was stuck in the master strike animation for 5 times in a row? no damage, just studdering the animation, locked into it. FIX IT! lol It's a major deal though. Reworking the entire UI and combat animations. They screwed the poch on this one. Still having fun, but there will come a time when I've had enough.
  7. two sides of a coin. Right now, TOR doesn't have content that requires min/maxing. So meters aren't needed. They are just wanted. Now, come the time when they release truly competitive endgame content, yeah. I better some some tools to help us min/max.
  8. All the " I quit " posts. Keep in mind these guys don't dictate the future of this game. They are the powerlevelers. The ones that play day and night. They mmo hop. We talked about these guys on the forums before release. They rush through the content, cry on the forums, and leave. And then there are the ones that are burned out on mmo gaming, but can't face it. No game lives up to their standards. I wish the old posts were still around. It's almost prophetic. As for me, I won't let all the negativity poison my enjoyment of the game.
  9. As a Cybertech, I noticed I would learn different blue schematics from the same green RE's. I assume it's the same for blue.
  10. Crafters should be upset about a slicing nerf. No one will buy their product. I'm not going to waste valuable cash on just leveling gear, unless I have enough to spare. Be careful BW, I feed the crafting community with those credits. Removing them may kill crafting GTN sales completely. I'll only worry about optimizing at 50.
  11. I see some posts complaining about high repair costs. I say keep them. You should get upset when you die. It should matter. They removed the timesink, so keep the credit sink to make it sting when you do something stupid. You become a better player by making better tactical choices. The game is convenient enough is so many ways, enough already.
