  1. There's many other topics for this issue, no need to create yet another thread about it. Devs are working on it.
  2. That price is flat out obscene and indefensible. You're selling a cosmetic item for what equates to four months of subscription game time. Just....wow. I understand wanting to have a rare item stay rare, but why not make it so its not exclusive to whales? How about a fun game play mechanic or end boss that drops it so that anyone can acquire it? Yes, there's the GTN, but it'll still be beyond stupidly expensive there too. This game is turning more and more into a microtransaction hell. I like that its at least not a paywall requiring you to purchase things to progress, but still...
  3. A new class, provided that its unique from the others and is fun to play, would be welcome. As it stands though, we basically have 24 classes in the game already if you count the 3 subclasses for each of the 8 primary classes. I'm not sure what else they could come up with based off of the lore and what's already present in the game.
  4. That's a shame. Maybe it could be implemented in a future patch. It would make having decent equipment up until 50 more worthwhile again, and also provide greater rewards for items instead of an endless sea of useless greens.
  5. Really? I changed it on one of my alts that's only lvl 40ish. Perhaps it only applies to the KOTEE/KOTET content even if its selectable outside of it? Maybe I'm going crazy, but I remember the content getting harder after I changed that setting.
  6. If you set the difficulty to Master, then the 1-50 experience will be more challenging, and closer to how things were back in the before times. Story Mode difficulty is just that: difficulty that's easy for all strictly for story progression.
  7. Despite the large amount of resources that would be required to make it happen, I really think a new engine and complete graphical overhaul would give this game a huge second wind, and with it a much larger subscriber base than what we currently have at present. Gamers, both casual and hardcore, are drawn to "the new shiny", and the gameplay improvements and additions would be well received. The Star Wars brand has never been hotter, and there's no better time to capitalize on this than now with new movies and media being released left and right. I'm not going to delude myself into thinking this will actually happen, but a man can dream. I really love this game, but it's always given my an odd sense of being half-baked, even five years later.
  8. There's already both inner and outer black colorations for many crystals. Makes no sense that they can't have one that's both.
  9. Hopped back onto my Sorceress to take advantage of the CXP boost currently going on, and ran a few missions. I noticed that for some odd reason, my companions aren't able to manage agro as well as they once did while in Tank mode, especially if groups of enemies are involved. My companion will stick with one target and one target only leaving any others that are attacking me to have a field way wailing on me. I also noticed that enemies are now more likely to break their agro with the tank after its been established and start attacking me instead. Were there any changes that I'm not aware of that would affect that? Seems to have only been with 5.1.1.
  10. Then don't use them. Don't put the skill points in, and opt not to use the extra abilities you earn. Your playstyle is in your control. Obviously you can't do this with passive abilities, but they're not going to affect much of anything. Ultimately all they'll affect is your mental perception of how you're playing. There are ways for players to purposefully gimp themselves to play it like it was in ye olden days without them having to patch in an item, or change everything and cause grief for those who would really hate to play that way.
  11. Personally, my companion cup runneth over with the latest two expansions. I have more companions than I know what to do with now. I'm fine without getting even more, especially ones that either have no direct relationship with the story or player, or aren't around anymore because of the way the main story panned out.
  12. I like the concept, just not the execution. The walker seems to go at the speed of mud, and the bugs that caused your attacks to either be heavily delayed or not work made it a very frustrating experience. If both of those are fixed, I think it would be a fun and different bit of gameplay.
  13. There are ways to add challenge to the game if you want to play it in a more difficult manner. Beyond that, level scaling makes over leveling completely moot. Whatever bugs you is just in your head. That's not unfair as games like this want you to have a level of immersion where "you are the character", but it's still not something that should be overly concerning in my opinion. All of the content that you would otherwise play normally will still be there and function pretty much the same from a gameplay perspective.
  14. Since this thread has risen from the dead, almost six years on many of the textures still look pretty sub-par at best. Things are better in the new expansions, but still not all that great. It would go a long way to improving the look of the game if better, high-res textures could be implemented across the board. One would presume that today's computers would be able to handle them much better than ones from the original release. And yes, the clipping is still really annoying.
  15. Is there any benefit to doing Master story mode before hitting Lvl 70? I don't really notice any outside of tougher enemies.
  16. This is being well covered in the other threads. Thankfully one of the Devs said they're looking into it. What becomes of it remains to be seen.
  17. I think it would be good to have at least one same sex option for each main story list companions.
  18. I got a vibe from her that she was going to do things differently. She seems more pragmatic and level headed than other leaders of the Empire. With the way the Republic is ran now, its oppressive in its own way as well. Of course, more story needs to be told before we get a clear picture of that.
  19. I'm kind of torn. With my Sith Inquisitor, she's always been light side and intended to be a fish out of water with the Empire. She's where she's at because she was forced to be there. I would have loved to have her jump ship to the Republic if the game gave her the chance. However, with the latest content with the Eternal Empire, Empress Acina seems like someone that could give hope to reform the Sith Empire into something other than a giant, oppressive regime. Do I then continue to side with her in hopes of doing that? Do I betray her and side with the Republic as I've wanted to do? Will my choice even end up mattering in the long run in terms of how the game proceeds from this point? Dem choices tho.
  20. Making adjustments like this takes time. A small error can throw gameplay and item acquisition balance way out of whack. There needs to be testing and quality assurance done as well. Patience padawan.
  21. With the level scaling, there really isn't much of a point wanting to level slower, unless you just want to have less skills and abilities. The mobs are, more or less, going to be the same difficulty no matter what. Your gear will be far more of a determining factor than your level. Personally, I don't see how that would affect anything other than wanting to purposefully handicap yourself for some reason. If you want to go that route, just level as normal, but don't use the skills you'd gain and don't put points into your abilities. I do agree that the level scaling should be optional though. I miss having levels actually matter in terms of where you can go and what you can do. At the very least, I think that level scaling should work down, not up (i.e. scale down for areas you've already out-levelled, but not scale up for places that should kick your butt because they're 70 and you're 30).
  22. I'm really glad that the devs are looking into this. The crux of what I want to see are increased, fair chances to acquire items that will improve my character. I want to be excited to open a command crate, not dreading it because I know I'm going to be disappointed. If you're going to go the RNG route, do it in a way that benefits the player and makes them want to keep playing. Fishing in a giant sea of pennies in hopes of finding one gold coin just isn't fun. Ditto for cartel market packs while we're at it. As for the content of the crates: 1. No greens for any tier. You can keep blues in Tier 1 if you like, but also make starting gear easier to acquire. 2. Keep reputation items. I rather like being able to get those without having to grind every faction for it. 3. For gifts, provide us with a currency we can use to exchange for them like it was before with the gift fragments. This allows us to choose the gifts we want for the character's we want to advance. Be generous with it since we have a giant boatload of companions now. 4. Increase drop rate for legendaries for Tier 2, and especially 3.
  23. Regarding buying the credits, that's a lesson I learned the hard way. My punishment for trying to be on the up and up. Beyond that, I also wanted some of the armor sets, and had a fools hope of getting a full set with three crates. That and supporting the devs, etc. At any rate, I'll try to haggle in the future and see if I have better luck. That still doesn't change the fact that the drop rate is absurdly low though.
  24. I'm only command level 20 on my main, and I'm already dreading bothering with it based off of everyone's feedback. I play games to have fun and enjoy myself, while feeling like I'm making meaningful progression that is neither too easy, not too hard/unfair. Mercilessly grinding for a teeny tiny chance at a worthwhile reward doesn't fall under that.
  25. Too simple, yet too complicated. Outside of that, screw RNG.
