Absolutely nothing you posted is relevant to plowing outdoor 2+ heroics , your response is hyperbole and fails to understand the OPS point , it honestly looks like you read the title and posted go back under the bridge. There is no time to send you a nice whisper when doing heroics , i toss invites if you are to stupid to ta them i make damn sure to instant cast aoe on top of the mobs o you dont get the credit if you decline the invites in heroic 2+ outdoor zones.

Subs fell off because of the companion nerf , I personally canceled 5 account that i pay for , mine , my wife's , my niece ,my sister , and a friend from work that cant really afford it atm. I have not had time to play the new patch , but if its better , and i can enjoy playing solo content then i will be resubbing them . More importantly if my scrub family can duo with me and we can have fun still then i will resub them all. So i think your synopsis is off and is just standard mmo forum hyperbole . Though its just based on my perception , and my own anecdotal experience , just like your opinion is.

dude give me a break its in a heroic 2+ , by the time i type out umm derp hey guy how are you pleasantries and what not , you will have already gone past me and agroed the mob and it will be pointless. In this situation its implied hey this invite is so we dont have to fight over the mobs. The INVITE is the pleasantry.

I am willing to wait and check out the new companions on Tuesday , though 15 % increase to previously 75% nerfed stats is not like restoring 15 % of the original nerf.

I just want rank 35 and up companions to feel powerful , it takes work to get them there , and i ant them to seem more than just a pitiful sidekick . and at rank 50 with all datacron and legacy bonus they should be insanely powerful in solo play areas and heroic 2s , otherwise what is the point of grinding one out so far. I farm for gear to feel more powerful , if im going to grind my companion , i want it to feel more powerful , the low level ones can be crap i dont care but they should start to be on by 15 and respectable by 25 , and by 35 should be good enough to help you in SF if you know your class , by 45 they should be strong enough to carry any player through SF , and at 50 they should face roll solo content.

See ya , the amount of players that were leaving over the companion nerf was far far far far larger than the few that cant be happy with their challenge in hard modes and OPS. If you want a challenge play the parts of the game meant to be a challenge , dont try and twist the devs into making the entire game experience a boring grind fest.

Simple i want to play how i want to play. That being said every day i group , find me on hard as lilith'ie , Arta'niz , or Havok'lolth , im always down to plow heroics with someone. The thing is i play this game a LOT , and i play with family and friends that are beyond the worst mocking of the elitists here as far as casuals go. I know they are not that good , but they dont enjoy me telling them how to get better they just like button mashing and playing star wars , and so i prefer a more casual based solo grind for when they play. In summary just because we are in favor of rolling back the nerf does not mean we dont group , cant group , or that we need to l2p it may just mean that for our overall enjoyment of the game we prefer it to be less of a slogfest and more of an enjoyable star wears fantasy experience.

No this post is a load of BS so deep i had to go get my hip waiters just to respond. More grind does not mean people will play longer , i left the game as a founder over the grind , i came back and with the new leveling systems 12x and 4.0 i have now gone from one lvl 34 toon to 8 lvl 65s and several more that i plan to work on. And if this companion nerf gets at least partially rolled back i have 5 toons i plan to work all the way through kotfe and do the alliance grind on. To summarize you are very wrong , i dont want challenging boring grindy solo content to get to max level , i DO want fun engaging end game content to keep my toon working on to keep me playing , not grindy leveling experience.

It looks like the killing fields or a nazi concentration camp in every heroic , making my light side toon feel like he is partaking in mass genocide constantly.

The entire premise of this post is ignorant. I can solo Heroic weekly 2+ no companion and clear all of them but the one that requires you to click 4 things at one time. That does not mean that i want comps nerfed , or that i was happy with the nerf. It is not a L2P issue . Its a time vs reward issue , its a tedium issue , but making an ignorant post like this saying just ask for advice to play and everything will be fine misses entirely the main issues people have with the comp nerf and why they liked strong comps in the first place. It has 0 to do with ability or the game being hard. I can solo the heroics no comp , but its tedious and a massive time killer and it makes the game unfun. Instead the strong comps made the grindy part of the solo game "see heroics for alliance boxes" and made it fun and enjoyable because it didnt feel grindy. It was never a challenge so i didnt get upset that it was suddenly easier to do. Again saying that people should just ask for advice on how to play misses the real issue that we dont want to waste an entire day doing something that is just tedious when we used to be able to do it in a nice timely fashion , ability to solo it without a companion or with is irrelevant to need for skill in this regard.

I want a rank 50 companion to have more hps than me and be effective , a comp is an ai and they tend to suck , so yes it needs better stats to be equally as effective as a PC , and i want after 50 rnks to finally have someone on equal footing otherwise what is the point of grinding all the influence.

If you hover over the BW logo thingy it sums this up almost 100 pages , 1 post by a BW staff member , the first post in a thread asking for feedback. Way to make us feel like this wasn't lip-service. These comps are still playable yes , but why would i want to grind them to influence level 50 now. I used to have a nice strong OP comp that was worth the influence grind. Now it seems from peoples feedback that you need influence 50 and you still might not be able to solo SF heroic , and it seems that which companion you choose does matter contrary to what we have been told would be the case. So now we wait for the min maxers to tell us which comp is worth the grind to 50 and do just that one , and honestly that does not sound like fun. So im sorry i dint adhere to the template but what im saying is the new grind is now pointless and no fun , please bring back the fun . If im going to grind multiple companions to lvl 50 influence tey had better be badases when they get there and i shouldn't need every bit of legacy and datacron presence on top of that to do it.

Crystals are better spent on companion gifts now , you level to fast to waste crystals on mods while you level just pick some up on gtn they are cheap.

Id like to see them roll the nerf back to 4.0.1 , then apply a 15 % nerf and let us test it for a week. Then if its still to strong another 15 % and test for a week. None of this one week its massively strong the next week its beyond worthless crap that they are pulling right now.

This is actually not bad advice , if Disney thinks BW is trashing its product then they might actually put market pressure on them. IM just not a twitter person sadly and canceling my sub is enough for me i dont have it in me to get all social justice warrior on a video game but any that do you are fighting the good fight.

If you treat your customer base like children you deserve the horrible reputation this company has in todays market. That being said its you who wants them to treat people like children which is petty and child like itself. Ill leave it at that.

Enjoy your game with an even smaller dev force , as the casuals that pay the bills leave , and only you jack hole elitists are left and we all know you guys wont support the game on your own, how do we know ? because the market for mmo over the last 18 years shows us Hardcore elitist mmo fail and solo friendly casual games thrive. It is a bit of both things currently , a lot of people are unhappy with companions so that takes a toll , however BW patches seem to give about 1/3rd of the forum community a hard time downloading them. That probably translates into 1/5th or so of the actual in game population so thats a decent chunk. Also People that will only play KOTFE for the story and then wait for January are already gone. Now im pissed personally over the companion change and my sub is cancelled and i have not been logging on except to check my GTN sales , but its a bit to early to tell why. I would recommend everyone that cancels their sub over comp changes , make sure you tell BW why you canceled in the other box when you unsub, this way they DO know exactly why people are leaving and maybe we will get this issue addressed , though i wouldn't hold my breath since im pretty sure we will suffocate before BW actually talks to us.

This it was obvious they did it in response to the threads , then they use some marketing speech , oh its actually due to our "vision" of the game , no thats BS they caved to the elitists , and guess what those elitists were not leaving the game , they were just complaining , but the droves of casuals who enjoyed the game post 4.0 and now with 4.0.2 think its tedious unfun and feel like we have been fleeced by BW after we got good companions an then they took them away , well those numbers will be noticeable , because unlike hardcore elitists , casuals just move on when they dont like a game , they find a new game , because unlike those hardcore elitists we are not tied to one game indefinably if we decide the game starts to suck.

Ya well ultimately i decided based on this stupid *** patch to cancel my sub , so they can have their goals all they want , they screwed up my fun which is what i pay them for so now they dont get my money , and i am boycotting future BW games for a while after this debacle.
