  1. The new packs are much better than the older ones. Cubes are preferrable to the old system, and are more desired by the player base, as evidenced by the fact that the cubes now are going for more than what packs did previously. OP can lie, whine and troll all he wants, but he's in the minority as shown by the GTM rates of the cubes and the sales of the packs. Most of us like the chance to get old items without being reamed with the insane prices of the BSG packs. Seriously, who wants to pay $10+ for a random gold armor huttball shirt.
  2. Social is a ridiculous slog. I've duod on a couple characters exclusively, and they're both social 2 at 65. When the bulk of social points come from blitzing Black Talon over and over, the system sucks.
  3. You would have gotten the same number of bronzes. Your items would have been from a pool of about 10 items, though bloated a bit due to the armor being split into upper/lower/supplementary. Whatever you got from your cubes, its worth more than the crap you would have gotten had the pack been set up like the strategy alliance.
  4. You realize those cubes are worth FAR FAR more than anything you would have gotten in the pack, right? Assuming you do not have EVERY SINGLE ITEM from the cartel market, the cubes are better. I stress that because I see lots of ******* posts saying they have everything, when this is just hyperbolic nonsense. If there is even a single older item you want, the cubes are better because you can sell them to buy the item much, much easier than you could your 12th copy of Overwatch Derp Lower Armor. The bronze model ws greatly flawed because it had a huge portion of the drops (same amount as the cubes are), but from a tiny pool of about 10 items, resulting in them quickly flooding the market. The cubes are currently worth more than all but a few golds in the current pack and the classic vibroblade. That tells me the playerbase has decided they are better than the old system.
  5. What bottom is that on Skadge? I've been looking for a speedo for him as well, but am too cheap to shell out for the Jori loincloth. Thanks!
  6. Odds are much less than in the previous packs, due to the results being spread over a wider pool that wont reach the saturation point nearly as fast. Bronzes in strategy alliance were often going for under 1k as well. A cube has an excellent chance to contain something worthwhile, as they have a fair number of silver/gold items in them. In the previous bronze model, that slit may as well have been empty from a credits standpoint. Moreover, you can actually SELL the cubes, which will retain value. Those whining about getting 2 cubes? Congrats, you beat the spread and got the most valuable thing you could have aside from unstable lightsaber, rancor or cycle. And you're most of the way to getting one of the latter items. Sell the cubes and get yourself something new. The cubes are better any way you slice it from a credit making standpoint, or turning them into items you do want.
  7. It's not. Believe it or not, the market evidence supports that people WANT these cubes, as opposed to the alternative of getting 5 copies each of the same bronze item they would have gotten. Half your drops were ALWAYS bronze items, which were from a pool of about 10 items., resulting in them instantly flooding the market. Cubes go for 250K+ on Shadowlands. That's more than anything in the pack save for a few gold items and the classic vibroblade. Its certainly more than any bronze item from a previous pack went for. Despite your claims to the contrary, people like them, because most of us DONT have full old collections.
  8. I can confirm its busted for both republic and imperial sides.
  9. I'm SOOOOO sorry you didnt get 10-20 copies each of the same stupid Czerka sled, recolored Mierm scooter, and 2-3 armor sets you would have gotten instead. If you had bought that many packs before, you would have noticed that the bronze rarity occupies about half your drops, but the pool consists of about 10-15 items, resulting in you getting an insane amount of duplicates. Old crap you already have is better than the 20-30th copy of a new piece of crap, because at least at that point you can potentially sell the new stuff. Bronze's in the strategy alliance were going for under 1k. The cubes go for 200-300k. Sorry man, the cubes are better.
  10. I didn't see this reported, but the stats on rating 208 synthweaving gear seem bugged. They are currently way worse than their armortech equivalents, or even lower rated synth gear. Zakuulan Silk Force Expert's Lower Robe (Synth) Rating 208 Mastery 136 Endurance 155 Accuracy 66 Power 69 vs. Zakuulan Durasteel Onslaught Leggings (Armortech) Rating 208 Mastery 282 Endurance 331 Accuracy 137 Power 154
  11. I dont know about you, but the emotes I pulled ranged from 300k to several million when I priced them on the GTN. All of which exceed the vallue of any bronze I would have pulled had the pack followed the Strategist Alliance model. What exactly are people thinking they missed out on? Their 6th recolored dart frog scooter? Have your friend post the cube results of those 150 packs. I bet he's sitting on a fortune on the GTN.
  12. No, pointing out your lies is adding to the conversation, since it provides context of how your views should be taken. Some ******* who makes up tales to try and get a refund because he didnt get his lightsaber. For the few people reading this thread who arent irrational whiners. The old alliance pack had about 10 - 15ish bronze items, which flooded the market and gave out dupes in cases. A cube is way better for anyone without a full collection, and way better for anyone looking to buy something new, as the value of the items from the cubes exceed the value of the hypothetical bronze you would have gotten in the pack instead. How much were those outlander observer armors going for? So you can still sell your cube contents and get a rancor, saber, what have you much easier than you could if you had gotten the Anarchist pack equivalent of a czerka sled. The only people really negatively impacted are the hoarders - those who actually somehow have everything, and simply need those 15 new bronze items. With the total new items reduced by 15, their lives have lost meaning, and joy. And honestly, if they really have pumped that much cash into the game, were I Bioware, I'd also asusme they are so hooked their money is guaranteed, and still focus on the new player and the casuals. That PBJ emote is new to them, and if not, they can sell it for a few million and get something that is.
  13. Divide your sub price by the number of hours in a month. Its under a quarter. If this is an actual issue, I'm not even sure how to comprehend your life.
  14. This, so much this. The old alliance packs were garbage, these are a godsend in comparison. Half your drops would have been bronze's that are worth nothing. The bronze's I got from my cubes are worth SO much more, plus I snagged a few silver/golds from the cubes, a major step up over the selection of czerka crapmobile, outlander armor, dart frog and other crap. The total new items in the pack were reduced by like 10 or so. Big *********** whoop. Now instead of the same few bronzes turning up over and over and over, people have another shot at getting something you missed. Learn to use the damn GTN, and get yourself something you dont have.
  15. You'll note you ignored the most relevant part of his argument - paying to see a movie in the theater. You're paying for an experience. You dont own the movie after seeing it in the theater. Hell, I dont even own the beers I drank earlier tonight - those have been long flushed, and my buzz wasnt permanent either!
  16. That would be really good, but they would need to make a chance cube for each pack. IE, Anarchist Chance cube. The next pack, Disavowed, would need to have its chance cube include the items from the Anarchist packs in its cube, so would need a spexial Disavowed cube, to help keep them straight.
  17. No I cant, for reasons explained below. Besides, we've all opened packs with 2 bronzes in them before. This is no different (except that those bronze's might instead be a rancor, or something awesome) They already said there were going to be less items going forward. My recollection is that it was tied to staff cutbacks, but I cannot find a source. Regardless, there are fewer total items. Dividing them into bronze/silver/gold tiers results in fewer items in each tier than in previous packs. In order to guarantee a new item, they need to re-introduce the bronze tier (since they arent going to guarantee a silver/gold item). However since the pool is even smaller than it was in the most recent strategist alliance pack, it results in the market getting flooded even faster. Remember how nothing in the bronze tier was worth a wet fart shortly after the alliance pack hit? Now they would be worth even less. This leaves people wondering why the **** they're spending real money on a pack whose contents average value is 20k. Sales drop off sooner, etc.
  18. No, I do, and I understand statistics. Everyone else is reporting 50-60% cubes. Just you, somehow, because god hates you, got 97%. A number totally not pulled out of your ***.
  19. Feel free to prove it dude. You're the one who made the claim of results nowhere near in line with what everyone else is reporting (97% cubes vs 50-60%).
  20. One "new" item per pack is a guaranteed silver/gold, which aint happening.
  21. Well bummer to be you. Sorry you missed out on, what, 10 new bronze items. The total number of new items in each shipment are going to be less. For everyone who hasnt magically obtained every single old item ever, this is a boost. Which is the majority of us. Share those old multi million cred items with your friends instead. I'm sure you can find someone who prefers that over the equivalent of a 5000 credit bronze from the Strategist Alliance.
  22. Except in the cubes you DID get new stuff. You clearly dont have all those pets/emotes/titles on that character, otherwise they'd be grayed out. No telling on the dye/crystal/armor. But that stuff IS new to be unlocked for you. You'll also note you got nearly zero dupes, something that would not have been the case under the old bronze setup, which had about 10-15 different items in the pool. Sell that stuff and buy your lightsaber and rancor. You're complaining you were given good older stuff instead of a 3 copies of recolored czerka derp-mobile.
  23. Easily faked simply by not taking a screen shot of your new items. Everyone else is reporting 50-60% cubes, but somehow you're the magical snowflake that got 97% cubes? If anyone believes this BS I have a bridge to sell them.
