  1. Bullets do not cause a person to be 'knocked back' (been watching too many Cowboy films?). The term 'stopping power' refers to the weapons ability to incapacitate a target quickly. A plasma burst would cut through your body like a hot knife through butter (I like to think Predator gives a nice example of this when Blaine gets hit with the plasma cannon). If that's not stopping power, then I don't know what is
  2. Not true. There is flight-based exhaustion as well. Every area in Wow that does not border another zone, has an exhaustion zone. In SWTOR it is more obvious because you are dealing with individual planets. Think for one moment how much uproar there would have been if Bioware made all the planets link together in the same way as Azeroth? Running across the snowy wasteland of Hoth, climbing a hill and... Tatooine!
  3. I thought Eve Online was the most successful space MMO? You want it to be more like that?
  4. It is also nonsense. The Sith Juggernaut's Ravage ability is channelled but can usually be interrupted by another skill... except when it plays the animation but does no damage at all (during which time you can't even move your character). Retaliation can also be used during the animation of any other skill... the problem is, sometimes it can't be used while my character is just stood there not doing anything at all! Press the button once, twice, three... spam the hell out of the button and get no response, even though it has been lit up for the best part of 6 seconds and my character is stood idle like a goon. Occasionally I can play for 30 minutes without suffering one animation lock, or one 'dead skill' but there are also times when instant skills like Retaliation refuse to trigger no matter how many times I hammer the button.
  5. There are issues that need resolving before the server shard limits can be increased: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=117627
  6. I played a tank in WoW. I don't know if it was directly responsible but the introduction of LFD roughly coincided with the 'GO GO GO' mentality of certain players. This is what ruined WoW for me and the main reason I quit after 7 years and 280+ /played days of enjoyment. *EDIT* It might have been the badge system that was responsible for that though.
  7. I believe the ship hits an asteroid at a predetermined point in the mission which causes it to lose about 50% armour. Just pop all the fighters the second you see them and take out the guns on the larger ships and it is easy. You will find you finish the mission with the ship on about 25% hp every single time. Oh and:

    Titles

During Beta, my 'the Vicious' title vanished when I completed the Black Talon quest and earned 'The Merciless' title (iirc). I bugged it at the time and received a standard "looking into it' response.
  9. There is only one thing that troubles me about the nerf and that is the size of it. I worry that this shows a lack of experience and systems knowledge from the team responsible... let's just hope the same guys are not responsible for class balancing eh? All in all though, I just dropped slicing and took up Treasure Hunting. It took all of a few hours to get that up to my level. /shrug
  10. Not sure. I have a 6850 and it only drops to below 60 on the Imperial Fleet. I get 80-130 out in the wilds while questing on max settings. Have you tried forcing the config to update by manually applying high, then low then high again?
  11. I think there is an option that might fix that for you. Options > Preferences > Social > Allow Access To Same Class Story Areas I haven't tested this myself but it sounds like what you need. I assume the group leader (who owns the quest) would need to have this toggled on.
  12. I read this thread yesterday and just figured it was another standard issue QQ affair (sorry)... I was level 30 at the time and ripping through Alderaan on my Juggernaut chain pulling packs and even taking on Champion mobs solo (Tatooine late 20's). Things have changed dramatically. I am level 36 now and working my way through the quests on Quesh and it is tough going. I can take on Elites if and only if I have all my cooldowns for as much CC as possible. Strong mobs are fine 1v1 but this is the part that troubles me. Something just feels wrong... I have 5000 armour for 42% damage reduction, a further 14% avoidance and 24% shield chance. Silver mobs hit me repeatedly for 550-600. 1v1 without using my stuns, I will leave the fight with <30% health remaining. Even a pack of 4-5 normal NPC's will leave me at 50%. Perhaps something isn't calculating correctly with the mitigation, or maybe all the NPC's are using elemental attacks? It is a great class to play and with everything bound, it feels solid and flows very well. It would be a shame to have to shelve it due to this as I much prefer my Jugg to my Bounty Hunter.
  13. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj137/womgoose/Screenshot_2011-12-26_16_49_07_529886.jpg Finished it just this second. As you can see, I've finished it so many times that I no longer gain XP for doing so. *EDIT* It does hit an asteroid and you will always finish the mission with the ship on about 10-20% HP but it is very easy once you do it once.
