  1. I understand what you are asking for, but as the feature that you are requesting has already been implemented as a Legacy Travel unlock ability, I don't see them adding it to the QT points for your quick travel ability.
  2. Not to mention that it is likely that event will return sometime in the future. We've heard the devs talking about it in passing.
  3. I personally would love to see some cross-faction cooperation- especially for operations and such. Imagine if you could queue up for an operation- which each operation is supposed to represent a significant threat to the galaxy as a whole, and not a specific faction- and you find yourself in a group with a member of each of the main Republic and Imperial classes to take down something as threatening as the release of Soa. I mean, many of these threats are thousands of years old, and it takes a group of 8-16 people to take down. Both factions benifit from the defeat of these opponents, and the gear drops (now that they are all standard turn-in tokens) are cross faction already. It would also serve to cut down on the wait times for GF OPS because you don't have to wait for your specific faction to queue. The only thing they really would need to implement is a function to ensure that all who are in the op un-flag for PVP upon arrival in the Operation instance.
  4. I know you guys are busy, and I appreciate your hard work, but I've got a question that has been bugging me since I started looking through the forums here. How often do you (as developers) look through the various suggestion forums and threads posted? You provide a theatre for the fans to post ideas for improvements/fixes to percieved problems/slights/ect, but I don't see much of anything indicating that this mass of feedback ever reaches people who might think it'd be a decent idea to put into the game. Looking through the first 10 pages of the Suggestion box, I see one thread with a Dev post, and that's from December '12, and it was little more than a "We have no information at this time" post. Looking into the first 10 pages of the Cartel Market Suggestion forum, you'd think things would look brighter, but it's pretty close to the same. Only three threads have comments from a dev, and one of them is the guidelines sticky. Admittedly, one of the devs (Nathan) explicitly states that he likes reading the comments (and the debates about the suggestions), but I don't see any kind of reinforcement that the system is hearing the suggestions here. (The other post was a dev explaining something that was already enforced by a good 15 people prior to the dev's arrival.) I'm not trying to say that every suggestion needs to be applauded or given a gold star for originality (Force knows not many would be given those, as people can't seem to use the search function very often) but some kind of feedback would be nice. Maybe have a dev post his/her favorite suggestions from the forums? That would let the community know that they are being heard, and that maybe their suggestions might one day make it into the game, rather than these forums being a place to vent about things that we want in the game and are frustrated that they aren't.
  5. As someone who has played through the BH, JK, JC, and SW classlines, I could completely understand how someone would want the ability to switch factions based off the events in some of the stories. I think the solution to this would be to create a questline that was mirrored on Imp and Pub sides that took you through the process of defecting to your desired side. Doing so would grant you a "Defector" or some other title, and possibly open up some dialogue changes if that title is active for your character in future conversations with faction members in future expansions. (I.E, the Imperial moff is grudgingly going to the defector bounty hunter with a mission because he/she is the only one available with the required skillsets, and he is willing to buy the bounty hunter's temporary loyalty for the mission.) This wouldn't cause any issue outside of companion affection gain with the current companion selections for each class, and it avoids the issues of trying to port class mechanics between factions.
  6. This is an amazing resource, and one I wish I had known about when I was looking to customize my toons. A suggestion, if you don't mind, though. Is there any way to get screenshots of each individual item by itself (front and back), so people can get an understanding of what piece of equipment looks like what? I see the links to swtor-spy in the gear pages, but it seems that swtor-spy hasn't been updated in a while and a lot of links don't work.
  7. I don't know how much work it would be to implement something like this, but I would be behind this 100%. As it is, the items gained by the biochemists are such that any of my toons that get to endgame are going to be biochem just for their reusable stims and medpacks.
  8. The Cartel Market suggestion forum might be a better place for this.
  9. Or you could ask the group what they want to do at the beginning. Every time I do a flashpoint, I ask the group if they want to do the full run or not, and act accordingly. If you want to do a full run and your party doesn't, then you can drop group and reque after the cooldown.
  10. I understand that some people have issues with the way that the proton torpedo is activated in space combat, but that's not what this is about. This is about there being no upgrade to the item itself. I'm currently sitting with straight purple items on my ship with the exception of the green basic proton torpedo. Some ideas for how to upgrade the proton torpedo, should it ever happen- Decreased focus time- better technology allows your targeting computer to lock onto your target faster, so you don't have to try to keep on a tiny targeting circle for 4 seconds before firing. Maybe drop it down to a 1.5-2 second focus time at Artifact level? Stat boost to other ships systems- better integration allows the installation of the advanced proton torpedo launcher to increase your ship's functionality. Other ship equipment eventually boosts other gear at higher levels, so it would make sense for the proton torpedo to do the same. Increased capacity- Advanced technology allows you to pack more ammunition into the same space, for more firing opportunities. This is more reliant upon the shorter cast time to be a reality. You're not going to care about having more torpedoes if you only ever launch one or two in a combat. As someone who is enjoying Space Combat, I'd like to see this piece of end-game gear get some love.
  11. /signed. I love most all the suggestions on this thread. I really hope the Dev team is watching.
  12. /signed This would be a great thing for RP and for recruitment. Love the idea.
  13. Alternatively, you could familiarize yourself with the icons for the healer advance classes. Those have already been implemented and are floating over everyone's heads.
  14. I concur with the concerns brought up here. For one thing, it'd be different if the items/quest hooks were able to be purchased individually off of the CM- that'd be similar to purchasing the Rise of the Hutt Cartel off of the CM, and I don't really have an issue with that. My issue is that these are quests that are basically random drops for money. Actual game content that you have no real control over obtaining, and that's not what I want to spend my money for, despite how much I love this game.
  15. I've got no less than 10 complimentary exp boosts sitting in my inventory because I can't sell them to a vendor or put them up for sale on the GTN. I don't want to destroy the items, because that seems like a waste of a quest reward, but I don't want to use them because I'm already leveling way faster than I should be just by completeing the planetary questlines while being a subber in a 10% exp bonus guild. Please enable those of us who want to trade bonus exp buffs for credits to do so with these mandatory items. Not to mention the fact that you're making the Encrypted Datacubes no longer have the credit boosts makes the rewards for such items useless for characters that are at their level cap. And there's no real reason not to- if someone accidentally sells one to a vendor, there is already a buy-back ability at all vendors.
  16. I'm reading the OP, and I slogged through a good half-dozen pages of people making comments of one or another type about the OP's comments. I'd just like to say that what I got from the original post is that there is an issue with the culture behind some people playing PVP. Campers, gankers and griefers aren't playing in the spirit of honest sportsmanship or enjoyable play. Sure, they get their kicks in pwning some PVE player trying to knock out a quest in a PVP area, but where is the real enjoyment in stomping on people who don't want to play the game that you're playing? What I would like to see in an open world FFA PVP quest would be something along the lines of the Warzone quests- engage in x number of PVP combat events in the FFA PVP area, and the events that you (or your team) survive (aka win) counts as 2 of those required numbers. That way people who are looking for PVP get their (true to flavor) PVP quest, and people who are doing the quest for the numbers aren't looking at receiving only the rewards of a repair bill for their troubles. Something like that would put enough combatant PVP people in the area to curb the campers, griefers and gankers, and the people who are only there for the event get something for being beat on by the people who play the game to beat on other people.
  17. My entire legacy was based off of the Teen Titans (even named it the Teen-Titans legacy.) My main is Ravyn (Raven was taken already) she's a Chiss Consular- Chiss for the nearly-grey skin and glowing red eyes. She's mostly light side but will go dark for specific reasons. Alts are as follows: Arella- Miriluka Jedi Sentinel based off of Raven's mom; Beast-boy- Mirialan scoundrel for the joking and the green skin, not to mention that BB is always trying to be a lady's man; Cyborg, the Cyborg Trooper because Cy's the tank of the group; Richard-Grayson the human bounty hunter because Robin is the one who actively hunts people down; Koriand'r the Cathar Sith Inquisitor based off of Starfire and made Cathar in homage to the episode when the team were made into animals; and finally there's Trigon, my Pure-blood Sith Juggernaut based off of Raven's demonic father.
  18. /Signed. Don't know exactly how difficult implementing a cosmetic equip menu would be, but if it's been done in a different game, we know it is possible.
  19. It doesn't make sense to me to cap the number of commendations that a Subscriber can gain in a week. I understand the economic importance of capping the maximum number of comms available to a player, but if I'm a Subber on vacation and want to take my character on a groupfinder spree and gain as many commendations as I can, why limit the amount that I can gain? I'm already paying for premium content, and the cap just feels like a limiter that is unnecessary for people who are paying for the full product. Comments anyone?
  20. You know what race I would love to have as playable? The Voss.
