Good to see others have this same problem, I had this problem for a LONG time. As a Sentinel there was a good 1/3 chance that when I used Force Leap I would either start auto-backpedling, or my camera would start sniping around me, or my targetting would get stuck on my target even if I tabbed/clicked on someone else. I eventually found the issue. It was one of the keybinds I had. Shift+F is the main thing that caused my backpedling issue. No idea why, it just did. I only used shift+F to activate Zen. It had nothing to do with my Leap, or my automove. Sometimes stuff would bug out when I was moving and hit by a knockback/stun! Now imagine how difficult my life was as a Sentinel. I sort of learned to live with it, till I found a fix. The fix that I found for getting everything back working is to unbind everything, then rebind it. This has worked for me at least and I have not had any of these problems since. If you experience the problem while playing, go in and unbind/rebind your backpedal etc. You have to go in, save the setting (IE no backpedal set) and then go back in and rebind it. It is a pain to do in the middle of a PvP game, but its a big time/life saver in the end.
  2. They are talking about the Collector's Edition Vendor, he sells a set of social armor, a few companion customization and some other stuff. You can only access him if you bought the CE and he is located in the VIP lounge.
  3. Synth and Armormech make augment kits that you use with the augment tables.
  4. You "talk" to the PvP box and it spits it out. People will still go for the money even if it is just given to them.
  5. Or you know Bioware felt the class was balanced and did not need any tweaking.
  6. So I applaud Bioware for finally making a way that everyone can get their Recruit gear. Its great to see them wanting to help the new 50s, who are either unaware, to stupid, or just to cheap to buy their gear. There is only one thing bothering me, the "trade in token". This token is worth 300k or so, which is a nice chunk of change. Am I the only one who feels that people will just take that and not the Recruit gear? I am not talking about already geared people. I am talking about the ungeared ones, who for what ever reason will go "ohh credits will be better then this stupid gear". Bioware please remove the trade in token. You took a great step to ensuring that PvP is fun for everyone (geared 50s and fresh 50s) by adding this gear box, please don't allow a way for stupid and or lazy people to mess this up.
  7. AND Shadow/Sin tanks got a nice little nerf. I love this patch. No more Adrenal+Relic BS, a strong mechanic to encourage people to buy their Recruit gear, and DPS-Tanking brought down a touch, seems 1.3 is really taking strides to bring imbalances in line. Now we just need a fix to Expertise.
  8. When an entire GUILD of people refuse to buy PvP gear yet PvP anyways it goes past annoying. Now I personally think its just a troll guild, either that or Imps intentionally rolling Rep toons so their friends can get wins.
  9. Also, all these posts for various different serves don't help. What needs to happen is (depending on BW) we as a community need to decide what other servers we will populate. There is no point going "he come over to my dead server" since well...your on a dead server.
  10. Agreed fully on all points. Shien has a good handful of people who do this, saying that "battlemaster is to easy to get, why should I waste the credits" and then they just keep PvPing in utter garbage gear. They are good players, but it doesn't make up for the gear difference. Myself and two other Battlemaster-Warhero geared players spent six hours the other night futilely trying to get a single win in PvP. We weren't even facing Imp players that were that good, we just had five people on our side who didn't buy recruit gear. Hell one had level 35-40 GREENS!! After repeated whispers and open operation messages a few of them finally went "sure we will go buy recruit gear" and then they never did. Suffice to say we did not win one match that night.
  11. I wonder, is the "The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural" that they gave away the same one as I got in the CE?
  12. But how do you restrict the gear? The easiest thing Bioware could do would be to increase Sin threat while in Tank mode and decrease their damage. Tank-sins in DPS gear really are ridiculous. They can take a hit, and deal it right back out as well.
  13. Well I for one am happy. I have wanted to roll a Cathar Juggernaut for awhile now.
  14. But the e3 site lists it as the 5th...ahh screw it. Sadly I will be at work. Any good newsites around I can tap into on a non-android/iphone based phone that still gets internet?
  15. Sorry but....doesn't e3 start the 5th?
  16. At least your not on my server. There is an entire GUILD like that, except instead of champion gear they run in quest blues and greens and do so until they get Battlemaster. After repeatedly telling them to get geared they all now yell at me any time I end up in a WZ with them. The best has to have been when my guilds premade (a good few of whom were in Recruit gear only) ended up with that guilds premade. It degraded into a very funny shouting/name calling match on our own team! Oddly enough we won the match as well. Probably because my entire premade was in Vent. Medals/stats come up and the other guild were the bottom four players for the match, while my guild was scattered about in the rankings. Suffice to say the other guild learned their lesson....and STILL refuse to buy Recruit gear.
  17. As a Sentinel I filled every slot but my Relics with PvP gear. Matrix cube in one, campaign +30% at internal damage in the other. Using power crystals for my saber I am just under 1200 expertise. I find the extra health, damage, and crit from the Matrix cube really helps, especially since it gives me a free armor slot to stat for more +power gear.
  18. As a addition to this YOU (the BH) also need to be very aware of your surroundings and not tunnel vision. I cannot count the number of times as a Sentinel I have been able to come up behind a BH who was tucked away/well hidden bombarding people with tracer missiles. They will sit there, confident they have found the perfect plant spot and just continue to shoot people whilst I butcher them with Master Strike. Tunnel vision is the number one BH killer in my opinion.
  19. Respec into a build that doesn't require you to spam a single button.
  20. What you don't "get" is that it has a Cooldown.
  21. Look at the range. 4m, that is MELEE range, so its useless as a gap closer. Also Master Strike/Ravage only roots IF YOU SPEC FOR IT. If you are going to complain learn the class and abilities first.

    Outlaw's Den!

I never said it wasn't worth getting before 50, all I said was you can't use it/wear it before 50. Once you ding 50 though it is what you should wear in PvP until you get your Battlemaster gear. How you get it doesn't matter. That you have it is what matters.
  23. Sadly all the bullheaded people who refuse to buy Recruit gear wouldn't buy it crafted. What Bioware SHOULD do is bring back a Valor Requirement for Battlemaster. Why? The major reason I hear that people don't buy their recruit gear is "I can get my Battlemaster fast!" Slap that 60 Valor ranking back on the Battlemaster and people will be stuck for a good deal longer in bad gear. Maybe then the idiots will figure it out and buy the Recruit gear like they should.

Uhmm....you can't use it before 50 anyway so....yeah. Also recruit is VERY useful until you get enough comms to start buying your Battlemaster gear. Personally I want them to bring back Valor requirements for Battlemaster gear. Would be nice to stop all this idiocy of "I'll out level Recruit gear so fast there is no point to it."
