  1. ^This is why heals take a hit. I was playing in a Voidstar match tonight (Watchmen spec Sentinel), I used force leap on a Sorc who was facing away from me and proceed to burn him down to around 20% of his health, then I got CCed, he healed back to full, and then nuked me. If you ask me damage bubbles should be banned in PvP and healing should take even more of a nerf.
  2. Now see THIS is what I want to find for my Sentinel! That stuff actually looks good. Oh well guess its use the "Aspiring Knight's Vest" or find some moddable medium Armormech gear that doesn't end up adding +Cunning.
  3. Uhm you may want to check your math 14-hilt+2 mods 7-hilt 2-mod So I can buy two mods for 2 commendations, and the hilt for 7...it adds up to 11. Better to buy the mods.
  4. Checks what time local store opens-9AM-sets clock for 6:30-gets to store by 7. There I think that solves the problem. Keep all your receipts, and be the first one in the door. My receipt say Collector's Edition, give me my Collector's Edition. Its first come, first serve, if some other schmuck didn't get here in time to frelling bad for them.
  5. Don't listen to any of this "Combat for PvP/Combat for leveling". Go Watchmen or go home. The self-heal off of burn crits combined with Zen making your next 6 burns crit is disgustingly powerful in all fields, be it leveling, flashpoints, or PvP. I get at least 30 stacks of centering every fight while leveling, and a lot of the time in PvP. My suggestion for centering is to "save" it until you start a fight, leap in, pop overload saber, pop zen, one enemy dead. Then over that fight it builds back up to be used for your next opener. In PvP Zen is even more deadly and really fun to use. You can use it when your going in, use it when your opponent escapes, has low health, and still has burns on them, use it when your low on health. Once you get high enough in the Watchmen tree you get two centering when hit and two centering when using a focus spender. It builds up insanely fast AND it heals your party. Nothing like tossing out a small heal/major damage buff during a big push. Now some people may complain about the "ramp up time" on Juyo form. In most PvP games(excluding nod camping and death) I never lose my Juyo stacks because I am always in the thick of combat/looking for my next target. Sentinels are great for hunting down people in the back lines with low health, Snipers who aren't in cover, and at killing SW/BH. Heavy armor doesn't save them and its an absolute joy to watch these heavy armor wearers health deplete itself as your burns go off. Yes Sentinel is hard to play, yes it has lots of abilities, yes its a good idea to get a Razar Naga(which I don't have...LOTS of keybinds and lots of ctrl+ keybinds for me), but once you learn to play this class and fall into a good rhythm you are a force reckoned with.
  6. Yeah I hate how squishy Sentinels are, BUT we are freaking insane damage wise. Once I grabbed Overload Saber I was golden. I can beat Gold level mobs easily with Kira by my side, and that's without popping and defensive CDs. The BIG issue is what your spec is. Watchmen is the ONLY spec to play currently, healing off burn crits and centering makes you unkillable if used right. PvP wise I dominate and easily get 30-40 kills a game. The only thing I find annoying is how little CC Sentinels get compared to other classes and how easily we can get CCed. Sentinel is not for everyone, but once you master it Sentinel is an awesome class.
  7. Depending on your spec, Watchmen like Power since it increases all your damage, and they already have very decent crit rate thanks to talents.
  8. I only lag on Alderran, fine every where else.
  9. Yeah...don't complain, at least your not playing a Marauder/Sentinel. While you may not have the "damage" you want you have stupid high amounts of cc and knockbacks. Learn to play and stop qqing on the forums. Now excuse me while I go off with my Sentinel and top the damage charts in PvP.

    PVP Balance!?

^See I find the massive overamount of CC to be what is killing PvP for me. Sentinels get 1/2 sort of CC moves, while every other class has a bunch, and its really darn annoying. Agents/Inquis are annoying, but I feel BHs have just the right number of CC/Knockbacks.
  11. When played right! As a Watchmen Sentinel I can easily top both damage, kills AND heal charts, as long as I face none/bad Inquis and Agents.
  12. Once I get the reduction on charge from the Watchmen tree I see this getting better. Talent trees and "late bloomers" are a major issue in PvP currently. I've played games where the teams were "equal" in level and utterly wiped the floor with anyone I came in contact with, mainly because of team work. I have also played matches where there was a 10+ level difference. We still had good teamwork, but when you lack abilities and talents it doesn't matter very much. The real problem I see is how Inquis/Consulars have their abilities "mixed". Going Assassin you keep most of the CC and knock back, and lose a small amount of range on your range attacks. Keeping the CC is a major boon, since JK/SW get very CC, something I find rather odd. Shouldn't melee have at least one ability to lock down a ranged enemy/stun them? The major issue I have seen is Sorcs using the damage reduction bubble+heals but still pumping out the DPS. My quick and dirt solution for this would be make healing and dps two different stances. "Heal stance" cannot cast the main DPS abilities without major cost/can't cast them at all, while the DPS loses most of the healing. I know some classes have this already, but I think it would be a nice way to even the field out.
  13. This a THOUSAND times this. Right now people have very little skill at actual playing the game. This coupled with the difference that level does make leads to very swingy PvP matches. I've played matches with both teams being in the early 20's. Most games were 50/50, with the skilled players pulling ahead. Today I played some matches where the level range was much worse. I was the only one on my team in the twenties, while the entire enemy team was at least twenty, if not in the thirties. Low skill coupled with the massive difference talent points makes leads to some very unfun warzones. Buffed stats are nice, but having talent points/levels makes just as much of a difference.
  14. Yeah all this together makes for a MAJOR pain in PvP as a melee class. I find Consulars/Inquisitors to be very difficult to take down as a Sentinel. I am fine with Sages/Sorcs getting all the CC and knock backs, but giving them to Shadows/Assassins is just plain annoying. I find myself unable to take one of them out, even if I get the first hit, AND a few good hits after that. I usually get knocked back, CCed, attacked...and then knocked back and CCed again.
  15. I hit level 20 with my Watchmen Spec Sentinel and found myself take off in PvP. You certainly have to be on top of your game as a Sentinel. I have found that Inquis/Agents are the HARDEST class to take down. Their CC is brutal on Sentinels and really hurts. Sentinels play best as a ambush class. Find someone who is distracted and leap in for the kill. After I got "Overload Saber" my playing really took off. I was constantly topping kill level charts recently, getting around 30-40 kills a game. That was until the PvP games came down to the same 8-10 people every game..and 6 or so of them were Agents/Inquis. The real problem is that Sentinels just have too many damn abilities, and I don't have room for all of them on my hotbar.
  16. Shien server saw the server first kill of the Coruscant world boss at around 11 this morning. Gratz to everyone, it was a good run.
