  1. The current version of the airvents only helps widen the gap between classes that can't just jump up there. Bad design... but par for the course.
  2. Not true. Gamers that are ignored and uninvested in are disloyal. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=401397
  3. thanks man.. it's good that at least SOMEONE heard me.
  4. Not calling you a liar at all! If I gave you that impression I apologize. I just wanted to see you're SS.. testing on a full BM geared sniper I have come no where close to 6k. I have full BM gear and a stim. Either I'm unlucky or something in the equation is messed up.
  5. I'm in the same boat as you you, except I have already canceled. 1.2 was very disappointing to me. When I got my survey I was conflicted on which thing to click... I have several reasons, but it only took 1 answer. Maybe this was on purpose? check which thing is the most unbearable? Or maybe it's lip service? either way it's irrelevant. In 6months to a year hopefully this will be a better game.
  6. ......... you have a SS? of this or your 6k+ hit? Thanks in advance.
  7. Ok... this is what I am talking about. You give out vanity pets and a free month to all those that are still subscribed in an obvious attempt to stem the flow of disgruntled people, but you completely ignore any semblance of feed back on the forums. Instead you use heavy (I'd say draconian) moderation to hide/quell negative feedback, instead of confronting it. Now instead of a community that at least agrees to disagree with you have very angry and bitter people. your PR on this patch has been disastrous. I'm really not trying to bash you Bioware.. I am trying to find some middle ground where the community and the company can meet. I'm not talking about sycophants or fan boys I'm talking about the average gamer. I have seen nothing that shows you care about fixing this problem. I woman battering husband brings presents after he's done something horrible. I man that wants to change a behavior talks it out. Changing the way you talk to people can give you much better results, even though you doing the same thing you would do if you treated them indifferently. Let me show you what I mean. This is an interview from an interview at the recent PAX Lets look at this. QUOTE:"PvP forums, becomes pretty much an assortment of insults, screaming and basically tandems." You just told the interviewer and us, the PVP forums pretty horrible and gave the reader the impression that they hold little value to you. I better way to say this would have been. "It's hard to hear everyone's feedback, and we know this sometimes turns people negative because they feel ignored. We are not ignoring you! Not by a long shot. We want to get active feedback to our customers, but we ask for patients in the matter." Now I just said the SAME THING you did.. I just didn't sound like.... well like I didn't care. My response was polite, professional and gave the reader the impression that I'm not an elitist. Lets check out the next part. QUOTE: "Unlike some other MMOs, we have a fully active forum moderation team who are on call 24/7 and when faced with 200+ individual forums they would have to moderate, it was basically going to be a little bit too much for us to do." You just told the reader that that you have active mods in your servers. But anyone that has played the game knows this is misleading. The current mods only close and lock threads. They give no feedback and are not involved in the community at all. This coupled with your previous statement tells the reader.. sure we will moderation your comments, but we wont contribute to the community. On a side note, because I think that not having individual server forums a was a very bad idea.. you just showed me that you can do it.. you just don't want to. Anyway before I get on a tangent about investing your customers.. I want to hit back up on PR. In the RL I work as a civil servant. I have been cussed at while I have given CPR instructions to a father who's baby was dying, I have has to fight drunk people that almost killed their spouses, I have been insulted by people so high on meth that they left their baby in a locked house to play with kitchen knives and drain-o. The one thing this has in common with you is that no matter how people troll me, harass or get angry.. they all come around when treated with professionalism, humor, and fairness. In each one of these cases the people apologized once I fixed the problem and they had time to think about it. One of the agencies I work with has a great saying.. "Just because you are not a gentleman doesn't mean I don't have to be" today I saw heavy handed forum moderation and ZERO feedback. If your PR people are telling you that this is a good idea something is seriously wrong. People are going to troll you for unpopular decisions (even me :/ ), the internet breeds that, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be a gentleman (or woman). I have a friend that was assaulted in a prison (he was a guard not an inmate) other prisoners came to his aid and saved him. Why? Because he didn't treat them like they were prisoners.. he talked to them, not down to them. He was a gentleman, even though he didn't have to be. Not everyone at the place would have gotten the same treatment. You'd be surprised who will come to your aid if they feel like you are invested in them. my 2c .. again
  8. Translation: It hits for less to anything with legs and and the ability to push the forward button. On a side note, HEY DEV anyfeedback on the lowering of mercs mitigation abilities?
  9. What is the logic behind the reduction in survivability? A targeted DPS merc already had low survivability in pvp (excluding rampball) pre-1.2.
  10. Awww.. I thought the OP was gonna say "Lets burn this mutha down!".. Some crazy Lord of the Flies stuff would be awesome right now.
  11. Sorry.. just clarifying.. You were hitting a decked out BM right? Because either I am very unlucky or our results are vastly different. Also.... how often did you see numbers like that? 1 in 10 hits? 1 in 20?
  12. wait... do you have BM gear?? I have a full set and testing it with another decked out BM I wasn't hitting for anywhere near that.
  13. Can't they refund you the difference? I'd raise hell if I had to pay for 100 days of a game I wasn't playing.

I haven't pvp'd in almost three weeks. They really drop the comms that low? Or was it just a bad game?
  15. I like tacos, and sometimes Asian food. We are spouting random things right?
  16. the UI customization is very nice. Whoever did it at Bioware did a great job. That's about the only nice thing I have to say about the "Jesus" patch.
  17. I have full BM gear. Hittong other BM greaed people I hit for 1.1 to 1.5k. Critting for 2k. Havent seem a HS hit for over 2.4k yet.
  18. If you are at this crux.. then try other games.. if you miss this one.. come back.. if not stay with the new game.
  19. for??? Legacy? Good for you. Takes a little more to get me excited. It's cosmetic at most. Although I will download it before my sub runs out it's not the jesus patch I heard so much about.
  20. Hmm I would respectfully disagree. Class imbalances make huttball bad. Having a team win and only kill 2 or 3 people is a prime example that DPS is useless in huttball if the other team has certain classes. Sure you can still win if you don't have as many of those classes but it's a uphill battle. Don't get me wrong skill comes into play too, but all things (skill) being equal a good jugg +Sorc team should always beat a agent merc team. It's not balanced. Making it included in rated and making a deserter debuff for it, without making a warzone selection system makes this a game breaker for me. But, I'm glad you enjoy huttball.
  21. My strategy is similar except my icon is an imp one. Rated will bring a debuff that will lock you our of warzones if you quit. Forced huttball... I'd rather bang a wookie.
  22. If you currently have a PR team or adviser.. fire them. They are horrible. Start open dialog with your customers. Have people ACTIVE in the forums. -the dev tracker is less useful than broken clock. At least the clock gives you useful information twice a day. -the Q&A ignored tough questions and answers things like "will there be more dance emotes in the future?" (no kidding.. they really took the time to field that one. ) -Most of the more desired information is handed to off sites instead of the SWTOR forums. (think about it.. if you saw it on SWTOR it was probably a link from DarthHarter or a similar site) Stop locking/deleting threads that are not disrespectful. Even if they are threads that you don't like. Try hitting them head on. Answer them. Tell people that you'll find out the answer, or that you don't believe what they are saying. Heck! Try ignoring them! Being a forum nazi is a very very bad idea. Make the LFG tool your TOP priority. Start making a server community! Because there is none right now. Make individual server forums! I don't know how many people I got to know in WOW because of this. <--- Stuff like this invests people in the game. This is a GOOD thing. Get involved... the swing and miss thing you are doing now is not working. Stephen Ried posted that Bioware messed up today and apologized today. That was awesome! I was standing up for him and Bioware (which is odd for me). People are human. Invest us and we will support you through the hard times. Ignore us and censor us and we will abandon you. Anyway.. that's my "suggestion". I haven't seen much response to these but I haven't played your game in 2 weeks and I am bored. Good Luck Bioware.
  23. Not the case. I think it's random, with the teammate having a dramatically higher percent to catch it.
