  1. How ironic. You contradict yourself 3 times and add some hypocrisy to the mix, just for laughs. Yes, you appear so intelligent it hurts my face. The only thing I attacked was your ridiculous statistic you pulled out of your behind, even made an equally ridiculous statement to emphasize a point. Honey, it's impossible NOT to feel superior when replies such as yours are the norm. Completely ridiculous.
  2. Yes. No, never will. If it wasn't for linked SC2 accounts, I would prollie sell my account.
  3. Sorry, wii doesn't cover 99.9% of the market. While it's understandable that wii is the only console you have the brain capacity to turn on, it doesn't mean anything. Oh, wait, you are just trolling like 99.9% of the forum users.
  4. Yet there are massive amounts of people who say it's too hard. No matter how low you put the bar, people will want it lower. I've made long posts about the core issue and the resulting effects, but people can't be bothered to read anything longer than 2 sentences, so I won't bother. I'll give an example. I was looking for a False emp HM group, I got invited to one that was lacking a healer. A healer joined and asked "What we doing btw? BT?" I said False emp and the healer said "Lol, that place is stupid hard, I'm out" and the other dps said "Yeah, I thought it was for BT as well, bye". I just... blinked, shook my head and left the party.
  5. I don't even understand why people expect a bug free MMO. Personally, I've never crashed, not once. I've never had severe performance issues, only in some places like Hutt Hospitality operation. There will always be imbalances in PvP, do you even understand why? Because your vaunted PvP isn't the only aspect of a game, you know. The classes must also perform and have utility in PvE, which means that some abilities and specs will be really strong in PvP, because the class must be useful in PvE as well, otherwise the OTHER people playing that class would lose their group spots. As a side note, I've never ever seen a game where nobody whined about balance and most likely, I never will. Do you know why? Because the mentality of the typical PvP player is this: "Paper is fine, nerf rock! Regards: Scissors." Besides, Operatives are being addressed in the next patch, so that particular whine is moot. The UI is quite bad, yes but It's no worse than ANY other MMO UI at this stage. Without mods, WoW UI was no better for *years*. The reason there is no mods in this game is because mods are a curse and a blessing but more importantly, they make people lazy and trivialize most encounters, so the devs have to work overtime to get around them, that's counter-productive. Macros are the same, they trivialize gameplay and reduce it to pressing 1 or 2 buttons, which ironically make these people whine that the game is boring. Those that expected TOR to be some magical utopia have only themselves to blame.
  6. A sensible post with actual logic and understanding behind it? Amazing, simply amazing. +1 for you, good sir.
  7. Yes. Because the game is fun and I intend to go through all class stories. 2 done so far, bh at 35, agent at 20. Then, if there isn't more end-game content (we blew through hard mode EV in few hours), I'm starting republic characters.
  8. What makes you think anyone lives in a basement? You lump everyone who plays more than you in the same category, and then say "hardcore players are jerks and self-absorbed" You're no better at all. You also missed the point entirely, although hardly surprising, given your response. You automatically defend yourself and attack everyone not like you, this is the exact mentality that is wrong with YOU. Like I said, step back and think for a moment instead of defending some delusional point.
  9. This discussion is completely worthless. The "casuals" (such a misused term) will never comprehend community dynamics because they don't care about anything that happens outside their claimed few hours a week. They play the game solo for as long as they can do something in-game without even a hint of effort, when that runs out they move on or use the client as a chatroom in a 3d environment. These people do not give a damn about the all-around well-being of the community or the game, if it doesn't directly affect their few hours a week, it might as well not exist. This whole thread makes it very evident to anyone with half a brain. The term casual is a terrible trend. The real descriptive should be lazy. They do not want to play a game that requires effort, they want stuff handed to them for no other reason than having a subscription. And I completely understand it. Most people have ****** jobs and a crappy family life, this is a fact. They WISH they had the time to do something they enjoy, and seeing others do something they can't makes them envious and bitter. Of course, it would be foolish to assume anyone to admit this, so don't even bother responding. I've said my piece and if it doesn't get deleted in 2minutes like every other post with actual substance, I'm shocked. People on both sides should stop for a moment and try to be introspective for a change, instead of moaning aimlessly. This ridiculous fight will never end, do you know why? Because a game needs both kinds to be enjoyable for both kinds, but you're too busy shouting "gimme!" to realize that.
  10. No replies? Wow... guess I should have threatened with cancellation, use smaller words and 3 sentence paragraphs. Oh well, I tried at least.
  11. Yes, another "OMG FIX NAU" thread. If you do not care what people consider issues, don't respond, I know I wont. First I'd like to voice out my personal biggest annoyance. Crafting popups. There *needs* to be a way to just automatically accept the result of a crew skill mission without *ANY* notification. Not on screen text, nothing. There needs to be a toggle for this. Tanking SOA and getting a quarter of your screen blocked by a popup while trying to spot a triangle is absolutely ridiculous. The GTN UI issues are voiced by many, so I won't bother to say anything more on that, except that the UI and functionality needs addressing. Operation bugs. The fact that we get more content for the Hutt Hospitality with the current state of that Ops is... mind boggling. First, I don't know how common this is but the performance in that place is atrocious. I get better FPS on the imp fleet that has a pop over 200+ The Rancor boss itself is sliding around and very jerky, being a melee dps is extremely dangerous because the zone of "no swipes but still in range" is extremely small, not to mention that he moves faster than you can, so you're constantly playing catchup when he changes targets. That's just bad design. Another thing, related to the Rancor, why are you making the same mistakes as Blizzard did with melee? Pretty much every fight is 3 times harder to perform well as melee, while ranged dps can just chill and nuke away without worry. That's the kind of thing that make people say "yeah, screw this". And another thing about Ops, specifically EV. Either make ALL the bosses require 2 tank in 8 man or none. At the moment, we do the hard mode with 1 tank because 2 tanks are a waste, I can do the 2 fights that sort of require a 2nd tank in dps spec, just equip tank gear. This is BAD design and will, again, cause frustration because you have to either gear one person with tank and dps gear, or, swap member. Both are bad choices. There are some other issues I have with the game but they are so fundamental that I don't ever see them getting addressed, so I won't go into that. Also, I don't PvP, at all, so obviously I haven't mentioned anything about it. These are my personal biggest issues at the moment, I don't expect all of you to agree, so if you are looking for a flamewar, don't bother.
  12. My apologies if I've missed this info but I have a few questions abut this feature. Has there been any concrete info on it yet? I don't mean vague PR talk, rumors or speculation, but hard info? If there has been any, I want to know if you can unlock new race/class combos with it? The reason I want to ask this, is because I don't want to make another Inq yet if I can unlock new races with Legacy. Also, has *any* concrete ETA been given? Again, if this info is out there, my apologies.
  13. But... you CAN craft stuff that is equivalent to raid gear... you just need the patterns from raid bosses. As I said, you can craft few BiS items off the bat, just need an item that drops from hm flashpoints, but, no raiding required. SW can make Rakata gear off the bat, artificer can make BiS relics etc. The way the crrew skills are done in this game... assuming you honestly could just craft the best stuff with no loot drops is childish... ridiculous. It would completely and utterly make all FP's and PvP irrelevant to those who actually enjoy the progression system. Dude, you can craft using a PHONE while being offline.
  14. Instead of saying, you should try reading. I know people like you can't think farther than their own little needs but please, why do you even post if you can't be bothered to take the time to comprehend what others are saying? So you don't have the time/desire to raid, ok, that's fine and understandable. Why shouldn't anyone else have the time, then, to raid either? And not *ONE* of you people have yet to make a SINGLE point why, EXACTLY, do you need raid gear? It looks exactly the same as the stuff you get from FP's. You just want stuff for no other reason than to have stuff, you're INSANE, do you realize that? The PvP gear looks nice but I don't PvP so I don't get it and I'm completely fine with that. I've never PvP'd, except in games like WAR where there is nothing else to do. I have no use for the PvP gear in wow, as I don't PvP. Give me one good reason beyond "Cause I want it" why should non-raiders have raid gear? ONE! And the "It looks cool" isn't valid, it looks the same as dungeon gear.
  15. LOL are you for real? This has to be a joke... you should take your own advice man.
  16. And why would they make more content/expansions if people got bored and left after 2 months? Can't you people comprehend the dilemma? You just want to consume the game and move on, then have the audacity to ***** and moan about content you don't want to do? THEN DON'T DO IT! Trivializing it doesn't make any sense in the long run.
  17. Why are you playing a progressive RPG in the first place, then? Before you rant some more, I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm simply asking WHY if you hate the whole concept of it? You don't see me crying on the latest battlefield forum that I can't kill people cause there is no auto-aim. You don't see me crying about a driving game having the audacity to expect the player the steer the car. Do you get what I'm saying? You cannot have a progressive RPG without progression, if your gear does not progress by playing the game, it's not progression. Why aren't you playing DCUO? That's right, cause it's BORING AS **** because there is *nothing* worth doing in that game after 2 weeks. Again, why are you playing a progressive RPG if you despise progression? Can't you play one of those f2p craps where you can buy the best gear with your vaunted dollars? For the third time, I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm asking why are you?
  18. I don't know about armortech, but synth can make 2 Rakata pieces, which are BiS. There is also very good designs that drop from raids. You weren't seriously expecting to be able to just craft the best set for yourself off the bat?
  19. Roll an assassin/shadow, you can sneak by every mob that isn't tied to a quest. Regardless, this was about what it boils down to and you say it's not, well, your point isn't relevant to this discussion at all. Besides, I've got 1 at 50, 1 at 43 and one at 30 and I've yet to get bored of killing stuff, it's so fun in this game because mobs don't take minutes to kill, apart from the champs. Especially on my merc, stuff just explodes, violently.
  20. There are mods that drop in raids and you can take mods out of the gear you loot as well. EDIT: The set bonuses, at least for sin tanks, are rather meaningless.
  21. You are aware that... Tionese gear, that you can get with flashpoint tokens and as loot from flashpoints, looks exactly the same as Rakata, which is the current BiS, right? The only difference is the stats. YOU ARE AWARE OF THIS, RIGHT? If you never intend to raid, and don't care about the stats, why do you want BiS gear? IT LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME! EDIT: Actually, I'm tired and need to check this. Gonna log in and go see, brb. There is a minor colour difference, MINOR, but the model is the exact same.
  22. And which part of all this isn't a "go there and click/talk" or "kill x"? That's right, they all are. In early wow there wasn't any indicators, you only had the description that the quest-giver gave you of the general direction and guess what? You still went to click stuff and/or kill stuff. Some Rogue class quests required stealth etc, but you still went to either click an object or to kill an object. You can dress it however you want but the core is still the exact same.
  23. That's a mini-game that completely changes the game you are playing. Why not level solely with space missions, then, if that's what you want?
  24. Exactly my point. Which is why complaining that there isn't some magical quest types that have never, and will never exist is asinine.
  25. Escort is an "activate object" quest with added "kill x". So far, I've run into 2 of these on empire side lol.
